Same here decided to give it another try :) after I saw/heard one of her vids like 10 months ago was omw to a jobsite i was in the passenger seat with the phone down on play next and then heard her playing cranberries linger and I was hooked lol subscribed and its like she literally has been playing all the songs that I have in my playlist lol

Totally, especially considering she wasn't born until 1999. There's an Australian girl name Sarah Jane that is kind of similar, probably about the same age too. Even her original songs sound grunge. It's cool to see younger people still playing the songs we grew up listening to

It's really not that impressive. I think if this was a dude playing you wouldn't think to say that. It's still a great cover because of the soul of it. The technical skill is relatively basic though

@@jonahhhhhhhit certainly takes a bit of practice because the guitar and singing phrases don’t match up at all really. But most guitar players would figure it out in under a half hour probably.

1979 has always been my favorite Pumpkins song, with Disarm second. I still remember the first time I heard it - I had just seen my cousins one summer for the first time in over a year, and one of them played this song while we were swimming. He explained how the "tuna fish" sound in the song was an accident Billy Corgan made into the mic but was kept in the song. It was a long time ago, a time when life was simpler and happier and my memory is so clear because of that.

Alicia, I love you. Please never stop putting these out, I was a 90's teen and your covers bring so many youthful feelings and memories flooding back. I have been a pretty serious guitarist for 25 years now, so keep in mind that is where I am coming from as well. I was a huge pumpkin fan in the 90's and still am today.

Alicia is one of my favorite cover artists because even though she changes up some phrasing, she always keeps the heart of the song. I think this is one of her better covers and you can tell she really enjoys this song. She just keeps getting better and better.

Yes, I rarely say it but this cover is almost up there with the original for me and SP are my all time fav. I'm a musician too but I love getting humbled by those that just add magic to songs seemingly effortlessly. Basically I'm getting goosebumps listening to this.

You are hella talented and im so fucking happy to see younger people still into this kind of music. There was, no IS, something so special about this music and about the era that it came from. It truly was a different world back then, and at least for myself i can say i knew it back then that it was a special time to be alive, the 90s really were awesome and i hope we see another era like it again while im alive.
