I mean maybe he didn't like his songs to be played by others, maybe he didn't like them to be played at all, but I know that on a artistic level he was not a jerk. Without knowing him I'm sure that this man (who once wrote "women are the only future of rock n roll") would appreciate good covers.
We grow up listening to our parents' music. But when we reach an age, we find our own music

Totally agree with you my man, I feel the same about this band... I was trapped since the first second of the first song I listened of them forever, even not knowing a single word Kurt was singing because I was a kid and I learnt English years later... Their music is just beautiful

Yeah, probably Smells Like Teen Spirit for me as well, or possibly Come as You Are. Don't remember how I heard it... I was probably like 7 years old. 🙂 (Instantly became a fan.)
Most people fail to cover Nirvana because they try a Kurt impression and it turns out lame. You did your own thing and I respect that. You have tons of talent.

I’ve been in a rabbit hole of listening to a bunch of your covers the last few days. I’m by no means accomplished but from a fellow musician who knows and loves this era of music. I am incredibly impressed. The vocals, the guitar playing, the simple style of recording raw and unplugged. It all plays so well. I also loved the AIC covers of yours I heard.

this is by far one of my favorite nirvana songs, it takes a special place in my heart, in ways i can't explain, i guess you can say i relate to it, but the point is that you have a beautiful voice with amazing music style ❤️

A phenomenal cover of an iconic song. I grew up on Nirvana and this song really captures the whole zeitgeist of the 90s. You seem to have an intrinsic feel for how these songs should sound. This song is a particularly difficult "test" but you pass with flying colors. Your grunge cred is forever solidified. Well done!

I amazing how you can take a song like Heart-Shaped Box, put your own personal emphasis into it, and it's like hearing the song for the first time. I remember when in In Utero came out and hearing that song for the first time in the early 90s and being blown away by it. There's something about the melodic pain behind each lyric that takes you through what Kurt was experiencing at the time, and you have the same gift. Keep it up!
