  • I've made and used a few different types of travel journals (including one I didn't mention in the video - a Travelers Notebook style). As I am planning for an upcoming vacation I wanted to take the best aspects of the ones I've made before, so I tried making something new and, I think, unique. I'm looking forward to trying it out on my upcoming trip to The Cotswolds in England. I hope you find something useful in this video. Thanks for watching.

ooooooo SO exciting!!!!! These are GREAT. Brilliant to take the best of each for the next. I must say, terribly jealous of your upcoming trip. England has always been on my bucket list. I made it to Irleland, but stayed put while there, no venturing to England, France or Scotland...in hindsight, that would have been a good idea.
A mom-n-me driving trip, those are fabulous💕. Mom and I were just talking the other day about a trip just the two of us went on to Florida--SO fun. I remember keeping travel journals since I was young young. I wish I still had those. Though, my Gram kept everything, I may just find them one day in her house, lol.
Safe travels!!! Can't wait to see that book once it's full ✈

Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I'm with you on England being on my bucket list! I've been dreaming about this trip for years! And yes, road trips with moms (or daughters or sisters) are wonderful too! I'm excited to try this new approach to travel journaling. We'll see how it goes... Thanks again for your cool comment!

Hi Trudy, new subscriber here. I have gone back and watched all your videos and I love your journals. Our think our styles are very similar. I like your idea of having two styles of journals to work in at the same time. I might have to give it a try. Can I ask what writing paper do you use for your writing journals? I especially loved seeing your travel journals and the different styles you have used. I’m still trying to find the travel style that works best for me so I appreciate seeing what has worked for you. Thank you for sharing your talent and ideas and I look forward to future videos from you.

Hi Karen. Thanks so much for subscribing! I'm pleased that you watched and (hopefully) enjoyed my videos. Very cool that our styles are similar! I'd love to see some of your journals!
Re: my writing journals, I just use a variety of papers; mostly copy paper weight with occasional heavier or lighter weights. I'm always collecting papers at thrift stores and such so I try to use what I have. I do dye some of my papers, both with coffee and with leftover inkjet ink (!). And I print a fair number of digital images onto copy paper. And I do use some scrapbook papers, as well.
I hope you find a travel journal style you enjoy making and using! As you saw, I did something new for my upcoming trip and I'm excited to try it.
Thanks again for your very kind comments! You made my day!
