Maybe off topic, but I just love it so much that we can hear all the excitement in your voice. Sometimes, being a stationary person can feel so lonely with the "normal people" around. I found a 2017 olive off ebay, Ithink. Just got the olive passport. It seems browner than the standard. And the standard oliveis one of the slickest leathers I have. ( I have a slick black one too). I like them all

I was hoping they would get around to adding the olive to the standard lineup! I've had a regular brown passport for ages, it's my EDC and I truly love it. I'm glad I put off getting a regular TN now 😅

Oh my gosh olive colour. Man i just started to really like the colour like it has become my new found colour. I was really liking a cognac yellow too before this one.

Thanks for the comparison! I also bought the regular when I was in Japan in 2017, and I’d like the olive passport now. I’m debating waiting for a themed version, but I’ll wait for camel and blue (which I’m also missing!). I’m interested to see the slate blue/grey, as I want to purchase a pocket insert, and was wondering whether the sky blue would work well with the olive cover. I want to get the orange b-sides pocket to use within the camel cover, but that’s sold out everywhere, and I also want the Moz burger special edition…trying to choose 😂

I just ordered the regular sized olive from 26 Market, along with both sizes of sticker release inserts. Now, I’m wishing I ordered the passport, too, but I really don’t need either!

My olive TN is brown not green tones, I am so sad. Should have just bought camel. This was a big investment for me and I was so happy to buy it at TN Kyoto. I didn't open it until I got back to Australia so could not exchange it.

The Travelers notebook intrigues me. However, I really do not travel much. Would the TN be useful to non-travelers?
I don't travel much but use mine daily. I guess if you like a book to lay flat without clips it might annoy you, but I don't mind using clips to keep mine open. I love the versatility of it. And for me, the slimline a5 works really well to keep it with me all day and jot down ideas and reminders. I have a second insert as a journal. I use the passport as my edc wallet.

Is the TN we see at :05 the blue or the black, please? The blue ones I keep seeing seem more teal to me. Also, do you know if all the camel TN feel like suede, please?
I'm still debating on this. I like the smooth untextured or nubuck oiled leather and I am afraid the olive looks too much like suede on pictures. I know batches differ; I have the dark brown in both sizes and love them, and the Midori one is smoother than the TN one.
I'm looking for a leather protector: how do you personally condition the leather on these notebooks, please?🙏
You mentioned that olive will now be added to the existing TN colours, bringing the total of the permanent collection to 5: black, brown, camel, blue and olive.For real? So there would be no rush to get this at exorbitant prices for FOMO then, for me anyway. They're sold out everywhere I look for now 😢, so I'll sign up for the back in stock notification👍It will give me time to see what type of inserts I want to add.
One cover I missed out on was the Hobonichi Purple/Aubergine/Violet 😭😭😭Wouldn't it be lovely if TN came out with that colour, or something like a dark eggplant? 👏👏
A Black TRAVELER'S notebook didn't make it in this video but at the 12:00 minute mark there was a navy TRAVELER'S notebook that made an appearance. Not all camel TNs have the suede-like material but a large amount of them do. There's definitely variations in the leather and that's the cool part of the TRC TNs! As for leather protectors, I don't use them but I do use a mink oil or paste every few years to hydrate and moisturize the leather. Hope this helps!

About half a year ago I bought some emerald green leather to make my own TN cover because none of the standards came in green, and now they do this. Go figure! 😅 Oh well! I'm happy with my handmade one. (made it a touch wider to accommodate for a little more chonk)
