Dwarf II Smart Telescope - Daytime Birding around Napanee River Waterfall

- Took the Dwarf II smart telescoep down to the Napanee River Falls to image some fishermen and birds to test out the telephoto lens during the day. Using the iOS beta app I was easily able to get a lot of 4K footage from the Dwarf II to show how well it works in this daytime scenario.

Also waiting for mine to arrive. Great to see the daylight recordings. I will use it for both night and day, but love the fact that you can take it with you and sit on a bench, while scanning the horizon for interesting things to see 👍
Yep, night time review is next (now that the moon is out of the way). I did some initial imaging to quickly test but now the serious work begins!
Nice captures Graeme! Dwarf 2 is very easy to use especially with the auto tracking feature, you will see it when will be available for the iPhone app. I tested it on Android
Yep, once iOS has tracking I’m going to test it out on a more adventurous birding expedition; migration season is fast approaching here so the dwarf II will be well used indeed!

In the beta they update it every few days adding new features. Still a few quirks but to be expected and far less now then when I started about a week ago.
Night photos are coming along now that the moon is out of the way.
with 24fps you can still create a great slow motion using davinci resolve studio version which includes interpolation and works a magic.
I’ll have to give that a go, I also have TOPAZ Video AI as well. Maybe a comparison video between true slow mo and these tools is in order!

Very nice. Can it be hand held during the day? It is not always practical to put something on a tripod....
You could but handheld is not ideal given you use your mobile device to control it and it’s equivalent to a +700mm lens on a full frame body.
They can make a little timelapse monster for terrestrial objects :automated pan tilt 600 mm lens time lapses........
Timelapse & Tracking would be an interesting combo.
