I’d like to preemptively correct myself and say that Caravaggio though named Michelangelo, was not the Michelangelo of painting and sewer ninjutsu fame. Well I haven’t read the book yet so it may be that from time to time he laid down his brush and took up the nunchuku as many an Italian painter before and after have done. Saying, “Dipingerò i miei nemici di rosso come il sugo della pizza”

Congratulations on 100. I've enjoyed quite a few William Sleator books, and look forward to hearing what you think of House of Stairs. I'm still not sure what I think of it myself.

Thanks! Opinions do seem to be complicated about it and I enjoy that sort of thing. I have a number of Sleator’s books I’m interested in but this one had to come first.

Congrats on 100+ subs 🥳🎉 I always enjoy watching your videos because you talk about such unique books
Thank you so much for your kind words about me and my channel! I really hope you enjoy The Troop and Wuthering Heights ✨ I can’t wait to hear your thoughts whenever you’re able to get to them!
I’ve gotten so many great recommendations from you. I recently picked up a copy of A Borrowed Man, so I’ll have to let you know my thoughts when I get around to it! 😁

Kind words are easy when they’re true! 😁.
I do hope you enjoy “Borrowed Man” if you’re able to get around to it.
And you know… that cover kinda needs something… 🤔

@@literallybooks I agree! If reading it sparks an idea in me I might have to do a little redesign 💡

Wow, thanks for the shout out! This is a really cool idea for a video. And congrats on 100 subs! :D
Also, I can vouch for The Troop! I really liked it. Super duper gross and brutal, doesn't take itself too seriously yet it's so nihilistic. I like Wuthering Heights alright. About M, I see you corrected yourself in the pinned comment, haha. Caravaggio is one of my all-time favourite artists, you should definitely look his work up (check out his painting of Judith & Holofernes). Hope you like the book, sounds like you might get to it before me! I will get to it too, but first I gotta read the one I recently got on JL David and his students!

Oh yeah, "The Troop" is on a short list. Well its a kinda short list.
Michelangelo was a very silly mistake, but this was a better place to make it than an actual review of the book.
