Great ideas. Really like your approach on teaching. Something new for tubers to toss around.

Awesome stuff. Are you using real pedals or do you have a audio interface w/ digital plugins set up?

      This is all Kemper.
Signal chain is: Reverb that swells in with a slow attack and a long decay (5 seconds), plus a pinch of octave up overtone, it’s very filtered so the bass and treble doesn’t get in the way. That goes into a delay with 3 or 4 dull repeats that get washed out fast. But those delays add even more reverb to the sound. That goes into a typical plate reverb with a decay time of 2 seconds.
Between that stuff and the actual notes things get cluttered fast if you don’t keep tabs on the ambient wash you’re creating… that’s kind of the point.
Unfortunately clams are really painful with this much sauce on the tone. The clunker notes just keep going, going, going…lol.
      Best,
      Jack

you are very much your own man, musically...that said, the influence and vibe of Jerry Garcia graces your playing when you select that mode over the others in your toolbox....probably more so than anyone I have heard..save the dude from ZEN TRICKSTERS.... he covers a lot of note for note in their show...I have seen where you lay out note for note transcriptions/lessons, but you are not umbilically tied to it and yet you completely capture the GARCIA ambience/environment, Teaching the mixolydian is essential to that end..being able to capture that GARCIA ambience/environment is the aspirational element I continue to work on THANKYOU..I was going to ask if you had seen the stomp under foot...dire wolf on TGP..I want for nothing gear wise but I am open to recommendations from ..a VIRTUOSOS.

I haven’t seen that pedal…but I’m open minded. That said, this doesn’t come from a pedal(as you know) it’s mostly a strong background in bluegrass and blues mixed with a little major/minor scale/modes understanding…and lots of repetition. Ironically that repetition is done so that we can relax during improvised moments and go away from what we’ve memorized.
      Thank you for your support!
