Ok, I'm impressed. Never seen a tri as well laid out as this!
This catamaran makes my house look like a scruffy SHED 😯
trimaran, not catamaran
It's huge but we'll layed out... I like it... It looked like it was moving pretty fast sailing too!
I am speechless, thanks for showing
I love this trimaran, the perfect boat
That is a nice condo on the 65th floor of a Manhatten hi-rise...Ohhhh right...this is a boat.
Is that bad or good?
owner of this boat probably has apartment in Nyc
$2.5 mil will get you 1 sq.m. spot by a dumpster in Manhattan...lol
Very interesting layout.
Nice walkthrough. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
I was tensing up as the cameramen walked down the steps thru the very narrow passages, and I'm a slim guy. LOL
Wow... Flush hatches and I'm in... 😊
Yes thats the only dissapointing thing if you ask me.
THOSE HATCHES NEED TO BE FLUSH!
I hope they can hear me.
Thanks for watching!
After this, I think I'll stay with the Catas (cruiser type).
However, this Tri gave me some inspiration on some things.
I appreciated
@Meadmaker 452's insights.
Wow.... neel are next level
Great Vid - TX - the 65 is like an Oil Rig Platform, with such an abundance of real estate --- hopefully, there will be a follow-up in the future to review the quality of the build as there will be an excess of strain and stress on the structure being of such a size --- Nice Island Hopper though ...
Any idea what the approx. top speed would be? (15~20+kts?)
This is an inexpensive boat for what you get, but been told that workmanship is
not the greatest... also finding a dock\slip to park this at and also having it placed on the hard\pulled
out of the water in many locations would be almost impossible.
What a beast
Performance will be good, and I really like the layout, but the finish seems a little basic for the price.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Everyone saying they don't like this or that, if it was given to them for free they would take it in a heart beat!
And sell it away to get a new 45 ft catamarans and still have one million to play around with
@@funyun oh yea lol
Wow Wow Wow, I'm a new fan now
Catamaran Channel - What does CE Rating ICCN mean? Why not just state CE Rating A or B like all the other manufacturers?
Very very cool!
No helm at the interior helm?!
What was the title of d first song?please...thank you...nice boat.
I saw no grab rails in the stairwells, sharp corners EVERYWHERE but also in the middle of the stairwells? That's bananas. Assuming you didn't hit any peripheral sharp corners, the stairs themself even looked sharp enough to crack ribs.
The space is awesome but underway it means more distance to gain momentum for any impacts. This thing should be LOADED with grab handles!
Lastly who is going to climb around on top of the boom to package the sail? Ditch the ribs and put a furling mast. Doesn't matter if you lose half a knot, it's better than being so high and placing yourself at risk of a decent fall every time you raise/stow your main sail.
I am completely on board with what a Trimaran has to offer but it's a shame more thought wasn't put into layout and accouterments. Might have to wait and see if any other big names try their hand at Trimarans. This is cool but it's not in the same league as the most common cat producers, yet.
Aside note, this was a much anticipated video for me, I appreciate the walk through! It was a good look at the 65 and Thanks for the effort!
Thanks for watching!
you will have to put this boat in a washing machine before you'll need to grab onto the handrails.
i hope they have a good amount of custom builds, because frankly there are too many beds in there.
Probably they had charters in mind
If it was me I'd decide not to have any beds in the amas but I don't have any kids. What's already standard on the main deck and central hull would be plenty for me and result in a lighter boat.
Superb 😎
why is there no deck in the front?
Excellent
Really a good looking yacht. Could have the whole adult family come visit at the same time. Not a fan of the fly bridge. I don't think I'd want to be up there on a multi day passage in inclement weather.
I'm really intrigued by the design layout of this tri-hull, but the poor fit and finish of the boat and that ridiculous fly bridge make it a no-go. Put the helm at the front of the cabin, like a Gunboat, and delete the fly bridge entirely (which would effectively lower the center of effort of the sail plan and mast height by 7 to 8 feet), and bring the fit and finish of the boat up to market standards for the price range you're asking, and then you'd have something!! The 65 is a pretty nice size for this layout. Would like to see more footage of the boat at sea, though. Perhaps Neel should consider contacting one of the more popular sailing VLOG channels on RUclips and gift them one for a bit to show off what it's actually like to sail and own one. The PR would be worth the cost in the end.
What is wrong with the fly bridge? They are becoming super popular.
@@johnkosowski3321 - They're not becoming super popular, they've been around forever. It's a poor, lazy design, forcing the sailplan and thus the center of effort of sail higher (this is a bad thing), and it means sailing in foul weather is miserable because the person captaining the boat is perched up on top of the roof like an idiot.
The only thing worse than this is when they have a fly bridge that they try to encase in cheap plastic to make it "weatherproof." Talk about an eyesore. Without exception, fly bridges on multihulls completely ruin the lines of the boat and are impractical in just about every sense of the word. But, designers are lazy and people with more money than sense keep buying them, so, unfortunately, they're going to continue to be out there.
Gunboat and a few other designers have developed the perfect helm station. Will just have to see if others figure it out.
You replied, but I can't seem to find that reply. I think you were talking about the dangers of a higher sailplan. Has this been borne out in the data? Do Lagoon flybridges flip over more than other catamarans? I bet not. If I wanted to do the America's cup with a multihull, I probably wouldn't opt for a flybridge. But otherwise, fly bridges are super cool. You can see much farther at sea. And it is great being up there. I love it. High five for the fly bridge. Why do you think the fit and finish is poor? I am not saying it isn't. I saw a 45 performance model where the fit and finish was unimpressive. But in other areas such as the wiring and the systems both the 65 and 51 seem top notch. The interior is very euro, but that seems to be the style. If one were interested in performance such as light air sailing, it would be hard to not give the NEEL a good look. There are some videos of the 51 sailing in light air. Almost a paradox how such a behemoth of a vessel can sail so well in light air.
Everett Cox made my day.
@@dieseldog00 Gift one for a bit,it says, as for a weekend or so. Read it properly before going of ha!f cocked, you tool.
Lindo é pouco, como descrever a natureza!😍😍😍
Só podia ser brasileiro
Iam Not sure if the rep crew should be included in the price if one decide to buy this thing. Besides layout troubles it looks its going to fall apart anytime soon.
Looks pretty good except for that flying bridge or whatever you call it. Not a fan of raising the center of gravity and center of effort. Probably helps sell boats to non-sailors at boat shows though.
This would be the perfect build for me .. but I visited the showing and found so many issues all centered on Build quality. Maybe send the manufacturing to South Africa or Asia where they can give more attention in this area. And maybe do some more changes to the interior its getting stale everything the same in a smaller or bigger version
MERCI, jolies prises et interrupteurs de la gamme Céliane de chez Legrand.
How many ports and marinas will have space or just prohibit this boat from coming in? Why so many sharp, jagged corners, counters and table ends inside a sea going vessel? Must be a designated custom charter with one home port in place.
Ide say travel lifts are out of the question. Probly more of a dry dock or ground it with the tide for repairs kinda boat.
France, Australia, South Africa have facilities that can lift it out.
Nice boat to live aboard. Would like to see a power -tricat version.
With this size they are clearly in the luxury segment. I am an Architect not an interior boat designer but I really think they need to up their game in the design refinement. When it comes to design this cannot hold up to a, let’s say Fountain Pajot. I noticed this one on the smaller ones too. They need to hire a prime designer...many things to improve!!!
this is a performance focused boat, not a luxurious lazy river cruiser. It can be, but its not.
Nice yacht but how is anyone going to get onto or off the tender if its stored under the steps used to get on the yacht?
Deploy it on to water, then, you can now get on it ( boat).
If I had the money I would still pass. It looks like a big ass extra wide RV. I do thank you for sharing though!!
Thanks for watching!
Interesting choice of songs....
Lol. Horrific
@4:48 Is this a cabin or the boat's "solitary confinement detention quarters?"
Enormous width of the living space - comparatively, the flybridge is ridiculously narrow!
I think it will be very hard to sailed. I hope I am wrong tho
Cool
I just love reading all the negative, salty old sea dog expert comments. I can almost hear their pirate-esk tone of voice - aarrr shiver me timbers, ‘tis a land lubbers plastic palace to be sure! 😂
Just 67 years earlier we would all been treated to the sounds of Plastic. You CRAZY! no one wants a boat made out of a child's toy! It's wood or nothing.
ROYC Rated Offshore Hand to you sir, Space is always the best attribute of any boat - and I agree with some of the comments about the accommodation....ok for short passages but no way would I be able live aboard...it's a lovely looking boat but the layout needs more thought so as to make more useful space.
It's completely waste of space outriggers should have midship water tight bulkhead,2 separate entrances with two doubles on suite ,forget it the 51 is spot on with same berths
10 out of ten for all efforts but FFS employ me on interior designs
Spaces look very tight. Not a lot tolerances, somewhat claustrophobic down below.
Thats what you get with fast catamarans and trimarans.
Narrow hulls give good speed, theres no way around it.
Thanks for watching!
Worker one like sharp corners, worker 2 is more to softly rounded and worker 3 like them real rounded..... Its rearly speciel boats in a very odd way.
Nice boat and all but damn, Almost 40 feet wide 65 feet long and 20+ tons. Good luck finding places to haul her out.
Yes thats gonna be a challenge.
But im sure the owner knows how to take care of challenges.
Thanks for watching!
Does it sail ?
Watch video ugh.
While I am impressed with the Neel Trimarans, I can't imagine what a marina would charge assuming they could even be able to accommodate a boat with this beam. Spacious doesn't seem an adequate description for this penthouse on floats. Still, if I had the means I would take a serious look at a Neel 51 to live out the autumn years of my life.
Agreed, the Neel 51 seems like a better deal to me. Probably a superior sailing yacht at half the tonnage. I'm not keen about the fly bridge either.
It is a great boat except: The ugly fly bridge is too exposed to the elements. Too much carpeting in the saloon. I like the location of the steering station on the 51 footer better.
I need 3 million dollars. Lucky man who can buy it.
Ok, saw the dryer, but I don't recall seeing a washer.
2.8 cu. ft. Smart All-In-One Washer & Dryer it washes and drys in one machine .
Well now, isn't that something.
The other bedroom!
Its a boat in seas ya?
as an experienced youtube sailboat watcher, I can say this boat has a weird layout. If you fold a paper many times then cut its corners, unfolded you get this boat!
Amazing 👍
Amaaaaaazing!
That sounds very familiar.
Its from a good guy on youtube.
Thanks for watching!
What's the title of the first song to this video?
Master beautiful but Head ridiculous for the size of this boat. Waste of place with this coach on the front??
A floating basket ball court!
Unbelievably poor appointments and layout...they need an interior designer. Little round sinks that go with little round toilets that a man cannot use! Wow.
That'll be a big "No Thanx" from me!
like you had the 2 million...
@@roscopico Doesn't mean to say they won't at some point.
I rarely comment, but I can’t watch this due to the annoying soundtrack. Why not talk about the amazing boat. Show us the features. Chat about the amazing differences which make this beast so special. TIA
Since last year i no longer use soundtracks.
The trimaran concept and the rough constructive assets from Bruneel is for sure top! But how can one design a yacht and construct in details to this cheap and lousy standard - an IBIS Hotel design for this money - shocking
I’m watching this because of the “law of attraction”
Id like to know the speed of this boat at 10 to 15 knots true wind speed
I've seen a video of a Neel 51 cruise at 6-7 kts with a TWS of about 20 kts, and that's a LOT lighter boat at half the weight of the 65. Don't think the Neel 65 will be any faster even with the longer water line. At 10-15 kts TWS, I wouldn't be expecting much speed from this behemoth. You'll probably want to motor-sail.
Interior not good all surfaces have sharp corners if you fall against these you could do damage to yourself, also no hand rails on stairs very dangerous. Just my thoughts on what is a great boat almost.
Holy shit this thing is wide
I called a Marina. Think they had a orgasm telling me it would be triple the cost.
Best sailing trimaran ever.
i don’t like how it leans. that would be scary to me. imo it’s not worth it just for that, can anyone tell me the benefits of two hulls v one? i have to admit i’m a cat fan. i like the way they’re laid out. though if i’m buying one i’m going to have 1 big head - shower, versus one in every berth (i find that 2b overkill).
I prefer cats as well but the tris have the edge (usually) on speed and other sailing characteristics. Some say they are also more stable when the rig is overpowered and therefore more safe. It depends what the owner is looking for and what features are prioritized over others.
I love the bedroom above like that but the size of the boat I don't like it's too large. I'm waiting to see a cat with a bedroom above.
Gee , l thoughts the Neel 51 footer was big
nunca me habia dado cuenta cuanta basura ponen en el mar
Big boat
small dinghy ;)
My husbands boat is big and his dinghy is huge 😉
@@MrJdhawaii "huge" is relative thing, ma darling
Houseboat?
what does that cost?
like 1 jillion dollars?

That is not a boat...its a space ship. 🤪
Nasa wants to know your location
Gave you second like ; )
Thanks!
And thanks for watching!
What’s the name of that song?
Caleb Davis darude sandstorm
The Problem with Neel is think of Ikea and downgrade it 3 levels
Bland color pallet, fore deck/trampolines are all but useless with no storage forward as well as no forward spotting seats, massive boat with a pocket-sized tender, hardly any storage space at all, quarters are bare minimum no-frills, ONE motor, and a multi hull that heels in useful winds, thus defeating the purpose of a multi hull. Very narrow access everywhere, I didn't notice any grab rails on the....well....pretty much anywhere they'd be useful....on a multi hull boat that heels while underway... Gonna have to say no way. The Lagoon Seventy 8 is a power cruiser cat and is better thought out than this vessel.
@@thehurricane218 Fine, I'll re-state my argument with the Seventy 7 then. Same boat, sailing rig...still a better design execution than this.
The song made me go
Lolol no no no no....
Can you get one with a pool table and a putting green??
All of those flat exterior surfaces which would have been ideal for solar panels I didn't see any solar! The boat is big and ugly!
I guess if you have a really big family or lots and lots of friends with time on their hands. Otherwise, I never understand why anyone would such a huge boat no matter how much money you have.
Can handle rough weather especially high waves better
Only 1 engine for this rig is quite disappointing
I notice the odd boxy, pokey and dark feeling of the main saloon as a result of having a cabin on one side and the glassed in quasi-galley food prep area on the other. A solid wall at the front of the galley space has blocked natural light from reaching the rest of the area so, in conjunction with the cabin "stateroom " truncating the other side, what should have been a beautiful, dramatic space has been botched by poor design decisions. The quality of the overall finishes, the pokey cabins and odd design and layout have really marred what could have been an expansive and luxurious boat. This tri is not a patch on, say, the Lagoon catamaran range (50 - 77ft) which are all superbly designed for maximum light, spaciousness and understated luxe. Even the much smaller 50 ft Lagoon catamarans' main salon feels so much bigger than the dark and dated salon of the Neel 65ft Trimaran which has a cheap car ferry-esque aesthetic to its interior design and layout.
Teak! Have you guys ever heard about warm woods that speaks out ?WTF are you on at neels!
Is the build quality of the model as bad as the smaller models?!
No where near the size of the largest in the world. The Cuan Law that sails the BVI
So much (too much? ) deck space!
My boat has a garage door for my other boat tender too ! So what big deal...
The exterior is breathtaking but I found the layout confusing and bland. I do suppose that anyone laying out the cash for this would have their own spin on the interior.
This trimaran is quite possibly the best sailing boat currently available.
very odd choice of music....
Im odd, so maybe that explains it for you.
Don't like fly bridged cats or tri boats
Not good for trans ocean voyages. I guess ok for day trips.
Put one helm below like H&H or Gunboat leave one topside. Who wants to be up there in fowl weather ...not me!
i cant even afford a boat the size of one of those hauls lol
No recessed hatches.. fail..
Agreed!
In this day and age you really really want flush hatches, im sure one day they will modify.
Thanks for watching!
Andrew Labat hey help me out what do you mean?
