    First video watching this guy. It's clear. He's super knowledgeable, intelligent, and incredibly thoughtful. Fastest hour watching just a walkthrough and I wanted to see more of them underway. I can't tell you how many times I found myself nodding in agreement. Just one request (which I have no right to, just asking), please don't swear. I watched this with my 4yr old son because he's interested, too. Regardless, absolutely awesome video. Subbed and will be combing through ALL of your content. Thanks so much for making this video, Igor. I can smell the sailboats from my youth.

    You can always catch fresh fish for food, too, I should think. It would be nice to have a water maker and black water treatment tank. Those would be the 2 things I'd find necessary. And fishing rods and lures or bait. It would be boring if you couldn't fish along the way. 🙃

    I own a plug-in hybrid car and I love the flexibility of using what I have more of: gas or battery. It would be interesting to have an electric screw on each of the outer hulls for trimming and may be power when your sailing against a strong current.

    In general it looks like a great design. I would however, be inclined to trade the central engine and rudder for an engine and a rudder in each of the armas. I know it would slightly increase complexity but it would allow for better manoeuvring and give you a lot of redundancy. Additionally you could use two smaller engines which would make parts cheaper and easier to source.

You learn so much more than that standard boat show reviews out there. Also the one on the top left, close the the helm's stairs. Also about the general quality of the furniture. Well. Ok. You can't expect the highest quality on a boat of that size for 700k and is not comparable to custom build multihulls. You always have to make compomises depending on how much budget you have.

    1. light air performance ( which can I sail more..not faster),
    2. blue water reliability
    3. and, finally, live-aboard comfort, from the perspective of a husband trying to sell his city-living beloved on a circumnavigation adventure.

    You tout the advantages of Neel trimarans over Lagoon yet you're sailing a Lagoon in your recent series of videos. Change of heart?

    I really don’t see why a trimaran over a catamaran. Why keep comparing to a Lagoon? The Leopard 50 is better than this boat or Lagoon who have had bulkhead problems on their boats. Also why don’t we see it sailing?

    No Flush Hatches WTF? I swear man, I have yet to see a multi-hull with interior build quality of a semi-custom monohull. Always so angular, so much fiberglass, and lacking in quality woodwork. Why is that, it's so disappointing.

    • @IgorStropnik
      @IgorStropnik  2 года назад +4

      Nice interior makes boat more expensive and heavier. It’s about finding good balance between what you can sell boat for and aesthetic, weight and quality.

      @@IgorStropnik These boat makers are not experts at finishing, and much of it you can easily change. The sailing ability is what you are buying in a million dollar performance boat, not the furniture. This Neel is a production cat made on a production line. Maybe the question you can also ask is why is the monohull half the speed of this boat. Boats are a compromise, you have to choose what you want to compromise. Look for a semi custom multihull maker like Exquisite or Sunreef and they will have nicer finishes but they will not sail so fast. Flush hatches should be expected but even here many now have fans on the top to move air and you can still hit your feet.
