About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

We are just starting out journey in OZ having landed here 5 weeks ago, we pick up our caravan on Friday and off we go. We are total novices to the caravan life but hey you only live once.

Does Megan like what you dish up for meals well guys we had a bit of rain here in auckland new Zealand winter is coming very fast in new Zealand cannot wait for my holiday hopefully it will be nice and quiet where I stay alice springs darwin cairns sydney September 2023 jack and Megan whats your favourite dessert I like pavlova with cream and strawberries have you guys tried a Sunday roast ie lamb with potatoes and kamala with cooked vegetables new Zealand favourite meal whats it like camping I have not be overseas since 2018 because of the covid I suppose you guys go to sleep early
Great video guys. I love the disorganisation in the troopy, the fingers in the food, the pore (or is it pour or maybe poor🤣) English, the cooking in the rain and the driving hours to get somewhere to not really even bother exploring it.. that’s the real life and I love it. Keep, keeping it real👍👌👏

A thought for you knifes and forks, in my 105 all out kitchen stuff is in hex foam, you can grab it online and at camera stores. It’s basically the stuff you put in pelican cases. Stops rattles and holds it all in when we’re 4wding.

I can recommend 'Field Days' and 'Maky and Matt'. They're two young couples who started in Indonesia but moved back to Australia at the beginning of 2022. They also live in a decked out Troopy and drive up and down the West Coast of Australia living off the ocean.

So happy to have you back on the road again. I’m obsessed with RUclips van life videos too and follow heaps!! I’m sure you probably already follow them but I really enjoy Sarah and Keelan travels. They are real and lots of fun 🤩 Also Sparkys on the loose, they have stopped travelling for a bit now because they had a baby but were on the road with their dog for 3 years, so if you start from the beginning you will get many many hours of enjoyment 😄. And Jack as you love 4wding the Travelling Campers are pretty brave!!

Love the video, especially that tree climb... Have to admire you guys for giving it a try... as one personally who has a morbid fear of heights i would have been flat out gettin past the first couple of rungs....

We’re heading over to WA in a couple of weeks in our troopy ..Cant wait..Love you guys as you show travelling as it really is ..your troopy did well on the sand..we usually stay away from it if we r on our own.,Im with you on the tree climbing ..heights are not much fun for some..keep going guys..we have the luxury of having a caravan but we have a few years on you though we did start off with a roof top tent👌

I climbed the whole tree when i was 14 when me and my family did a big lap 2014! all the way to the top, not sure how but i froze at one point, towards to top the pegs are going completely upright!!! !!! so scary but totally worth
I climbed the Gloucester tree a few years back, it’s not far from where you are. It was rainy and really windy, definitely wouldn’t recommend doing it in those conditions to anyone. But the view from the top was awesome! It is the second highest fire tree lookout in the world!
That would have been terrifying!

Very reassuring to see others struggle with the Gloucester Tree, I made it all the way to the top, but only because I was putting off coming back down 🤣 My boyfriend had made it back to the car and had lunch ready by the time I got back on the ground!

Hey guys would highly recommend not using public wifi where possible. It’s so easy for scammers to hack into your devices on public wifi. Speaking from previous experience. Best to always use your personal 3 or 4g where possible
You’re right mate! That’s exactly why we use a VPN to avoid this we can use any wifi as long as we have our surfshark on at the same time👍

Technically, the Troopy is a 4WD van. So you can call it "Van Life". 😁 As for other Touring/Van Life couples to watch, have a look at "Live Work Wander" channel. A North American couple that started with a VW Syncro but ended up importing a Troopy from Germany and used it to travel all over North America.

Hey Eric they’re made by the guns coffee! Dark roast is our preferred one! They also have a medium roast. So far we are really liking them 😊
Also, sometimes it’s good to embrace the rainy weather, as it can make for some amazing and cozy videos to watch as a viewer. Lol you guys need an umbrella ☔️

I'm sure there is heaps of youtubers out there that you can watch, but for couples doing what you guys do while also being entertaining, you two definitely take the cake.
I did stumble across "Trip in a Van" recently, they do long episodes and its a family traveling around Aus in a caravan.
But like I said, its hard to find entertaining couples, you guys just do this so damn well while remaining so humble. You guys are usually the first channel I mention to others hahaha.
Now I gotta go and find the episode Jack bought the Jetboil, I gotta know which one he got, because im looking for one hahaah.

I think she is heading to STH America. I have also recently started watching Ewan McGreggors motorcycle journeys and they are fun. Start with long way round if you can find it on Apple or Netflix.

We had parked to close to the trees and it was a small road side stop so couldn’t move over. Otherwise definitely would have opened it up! 👍😊
