    For me, it depends on the doll. The bigger they are, I definitely want to take them apart, but small dolls, for me, are easier to suede without taking them apart. Good advice about taking your time. Never rush.

    I just got my first doll. I've wanted a bjd for over a decade now, but the prices in here are waaay out of my league. This year I bought some hinge-jointed imitations (brandless ones) and loved them. Grew enough courage and bought a small 1:8 baby. I'm so so scared of ruining her with my ogre hands, but right now all her limbs slowly slide back into a default position so I know I have to do something about it. Thank you so much for the easy, honest tutorial! I hope to get enough confidence to suede her 3v3

    Oh Asenva it’s been so incredibly long....
    I miss this hobby so...so much. I had to sell my collection off because my health took such a dramatically bad turn.
    I am so incredibly gleeful that you are creating content again ! I miss your clear bubbly voice so much!!!

    You might not see this but I just found out my first BJD doll that I just bought may be recast. I watched your video about recast dolls. Do you know somewhere I can get affordable non recast dolls? Also, is it so bad that I may have accidentally bought one?

    • @AsenvaBJD
      @AsenvaBJD  4 года назад +1

      Howdy! I am sorry to hear that :( If you check out my blog www.bjdlife.com I have a article that highlights BJDs under $100. I also have some information on recasts there too in case you want to check to see if you do have a recast or not. Where did you purchase your doll from?

      @@AsenvaBJD Oh thank you for the link. I will be checking that out. I got my doll from aliexpress. The seller said it was made by machines and is made of plastic. So it might not be a recast, but its still not legit because it isn't resin.

    I don't think I could do this myself x.x I'm too scared to even restring them at this stage haha let alone use hot glue

    • @AsenvaBJD
      @AsenvaBJD  3 года назад

      It really isn't that bad at all! It is very forgiving too because it literally comes right off. It is super helpful though :)

    It’s such a pain to clean that glue out later on. And it gets gross pretty quickly it takes color from any clothes you put on your doll or just collect dust. Just gross. Use silicone discs so much cleaner & faster

      @AsenvaBJD  Год назад

      Great suggestion! Where do you get your discs from?
