Hey Sarah! Love your videos : ) I had a question about sueding, as I’ve done it once but got a bit of an odd result. Basically I invested in a low-temperature hot glue gun so as not to damage my doll’s resin with heat. After sueding the head of the doll (it was a hybrid so I had to suede in order for the neck and head to fit better) I noticed the glue was a bit... sticky for lack of a better term. It’s rather difficult to get her head to turn, but I don’t play with my dolls that often - so I don’t mind so much. My question is: do you notice with sueding that mobility requires a bit more force, or do you think that the type of glue I used might have something to do with what’s happened to my doll? I also notice that peeling off glue to try and redo sueding takes a lot of effort, as the glue breaks off in chunks and seems to want to stay attached to the neck socket. Thanks for any ideas you may have! Keep up the amazing work : D

It really helps me have a better idea of the process and what is accomplishes : D I might inspect my doll more later but I think she’s safe as she is, especially with what you’ve told me -which is a huge relief. It’s great to know what to expect and I thank you so much for letting me know about all the little things that change when you suede. Thanks for showing this, I have a skinny doll who prob needs this too scared to do that with him but it reaslly helps to see how it works. Is there a way to tell if its stringing or the sueading that needs to be done? I have a fairy land on a old style a line body her head drives me crazy it flicks to the side or down getting the sweet spot where it looks good is so hard to achieve. also she is mega tight to try to lie flat, her legs want to cross over each other (like the pose when u are despeirate for the loo.) 2. Do you have any fairyland dolls? If my girl does need restringing I don't understand how and how the twisty thing in her head works instead of the s hook system. 3 would love to see a restringing video. thanks for all you do, I learn so much from your channel
I did this once to my MSD but the glue ripped off as soon as I tried bending the joints T-T. I don't know what I did wrong, but I'll try it again following your tips this time! ^u^
