My dog watched this with me so hopefully he took note of that behind position.

Nice video. I'm going to start practicing this with my dog. We have done some running, with him out front but he hates his harness so I really want to run loose lead with him so he doesn't have to wear it! I love the position you have her in for running. It will also help with his over excitement with other dogs if I'm in front of him.

Hey , Mr.Reed Sir , I want to say OMG thank you so much , i have been training extremely hard to help my labrador retriever son to be respectable so much so that my dog could Qualify as a ESA&Therapy Dog, Because of you sir I've been told that I have a gift in training dogs. It only took me 4 and 1/2 months time to get him to loose interest in FedEX and UPS , I also have taught him that when i run he runs , and when i slow down to walk he does the same , over all just in general , you sir have changed both me and my 6 year old Labrador retriever mix son's life , you have taught and reminded me that any dog can be rehabilitated

Remember to learn ADA laws. You don't need a registration or certification for a service dog in the US. You don't need to show proof to anyone. You don't need a doctors note or any special gear stating that your dog is a service dog. I have had two owner trained service dogs and I am on my 3rd now. I choose to put gear on my service dogs because it looks cool, there are pockets to hold first aid items and other things, it can protect them from dog attacks, and I can put cool meme patches on it as well as service dog patches. It's good to have some sort of patch on your dog stating that it is a service dog for legal reasons. If you were to get harassed or if you had access issues or anything similar, you can show that your service dog is CLEARLY as service dog since they are well trained, and there is also a patch on their harness. So if you go to court and people fight with you because they thought you had a "pet", you will 100% win since you clearly had a patch stating so. I'm getting a gopro to wear before I start uni this month so I can record every time we go out for legal and protection reasons. If someone tries to harass me or my dog, I'll have actual proof on video. Also, make sure you have a studded WIDE collar on your dog when you go out, it can save their life. Make sure the collar is wide, the wider the better, it's also safer for their trachea. A wide collar adds more protection since it covers more area. Onetigris has spiked patches to put on harnesses, I'd highly recommend that too. Loose dogs and untrained pets are everywhere, stay prepared.

I canicross with my doberman. Also, today i let him run of lead with me, yeah, he was all over the place 😅 He also can not heel properly yet. So first things first. I hope to run with him like this on and of lead as well, its wonderful to let him do a warm-up with me before canicross. Thanks for the video!!

Very helpful video , I’ve got a Welsh terrier who just wants to meet everyone but I’d love to have him run with me, on and off the lead. I’m injured just now so a very easy return to running seems like the ideal time to work on this. 😊

Training humans is the hardest part of dog training. The dogs understand easily, but not the humans.. Good luck having a dog that is smarter than most adults!

What a beautiful way you have in calmly explaining. I am self employed and have various times of work but minimal time during the day. Decided his time is 3pm each day and to keep him hiking fit do a jog a day.
Usually he is a constant sniffer and never run with him but feel once we get foundations it should he a success. Like the lead on collar and harness. Guessing that helps the process too.

A simpleton is a person who focuses on one variable in a multi variable situation. In your case you're grossly unaware of how many hours exercise my dogs gets, how I am with my dog, what she eats, how much freedom she has etc. Try and reserve judgment whilst searching for the full picture and you'll instantly stop being such a simpleton.
      You're welcome!
