Hey everyone :) I hope you’re having a good Saturday so far! Thank you so much for joining me for tonight’s food shopping…Sainsbury’s for a change! :) I’ll be down in the comments for a wee while
Hello everyone, as a pensioner I shop at Sainssburys and find it great value. The quality is always good and as I have my groceries delivered if there is any substitutes they are akso good quality. Sainsburys are a very good supermarket.
Always nice to spend a bit of time here on Saturday mornings (here in Colorado USA) I love the shopping trips and love the time reading through the comments in this lovely community. Best to everyone in this new year.
Hi Cheryl. Just got back from my grocery shopping, four stores, farm supply store, and got the propane tanks refilled. We're expecting a major winter storm to hit tomorrow-snow, ice, freezing rain, wind. Duck. Probably will work from home on Monday if we have power. Also single digit temps for the week. January got to love it.
Aww, I feel for you! We are sweltering here in Tasmania in 31, but hopefully there'll be a storm and some longed-for rain this arvo, so a bit cooler tomorrow. January gotta, er, love it???
@@WhatsForTea still - it’s a £1 per tin for Heinz. There was a Nectar deal on recently for all Heinz products at half price - that definitely was worth stocking up the cupboards with them!
That's great value ,I just refuse to buy Heinz their price is ridiculous . I usually make my own , but will certainly give sainsburys own a try at that price 👍👏
Looking forward to your meals of the week. Ohio USA is expecting winter storm today. Snow, ice, wind. Hoping we don't lose power. Snuggled in my blanket as I watch your lovely video.
We have 1 inch of snow and an icy road. It is beautiful and 28 F. I love your grocery shopping videos. I gotta go share. I'm drinking some sparkling water now..yummy. I'm gonna try that shop by phone (my son's) and pick up at our local (30 mile round trip) Food Lion. I'm gonna fix Swede (Rutabaga - it has the yellow/orange flesh) and cornbread for supper tonite. I can't wait to see what you are gonna cook with all of this. Love ya.
Interesting shopping this time , yep back in the day would have used Sainsbury's ourselves , my hubbie used to love the Jamaican Fiery Hot Ginger Ale and we use to to buy Chicken Curry or Masala dinner for two meal deal in a bag , bit like a takeaway but there own brand and great value at £6 , probably still do them but would be a lot dearer now , I don't do on line shopping all too tempting 😊
Over the last few months, I've recently found Sainsbury's cheaper than Asda. Great haul and good ideas for my own shopping lol. Thank you for sharing xxx
Hi Cheryl. Fage is my favourite yogurt although at full price it is expensive, I have strawberries, blueberries or banana or if I have runout of these I open a tin of fruit my favourite at the moment is apricots. Love your shopping hauls it gives me ideas.
Hi happy new year .another great shop .I do like all the different meats you get from the butchers .and the pies also .looks amazing where you live .I think it's the xxxxxx .I'm not going to say . Love the home cooking the meals look amazing 👏 😊
NC USA here. I got some good bargains on my last shopping trip. Weather is getting really cold but no snow. Finishing off the ham from New Year's special dinner. Tried lentil soup with the bone.
Hi Cheryl & wishing you & the family a Very Happy New Year!🎉✨🥂🍾✨💖 Thanks as always for sharing your weekly shop, a nice wee selection. 👩🏻🍳🛒 Ps - Can’t believe I’m first … I’m normally at the cows tail!😆😂
I love watching the shopping haul. Especially the prices. As a Canadian this is amazing. Broccoli here is four dollars. Cauliflower is seven dollars. I thought McCains was Canadian but we never see the same products. You have in Scotland 🏴. Cheryl. Do you drink tea or coffee ☕️. I never see you purchase any. Anyway don’t stop the shopping hauls. Love to see the prices ❤🎉
You don't like rhubarb? Make a chutney of it. Chop 500 grams of rhubarb, add 350 ml of sugar, 5 ml of curry powder, 5 ml of cinnamon and 5 ml of sambal oelek, then 45 ml of apple cider vinegar. Boil four 15 minutes. Done. So tasty as a sauce mixed with youghurt with BBQ.
Good evening Cheryl. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. It's about 19°Fahrenheit and snowy here in my little corner of Central New York. Your fish and chips look delicious. I've never tried the fage yogurt. We usually get chobani. Have a good rest of your evening.
Aw...we didn't have any snow this year ☺ I think we're just too close to the sea front...literally a 5 minute walk from the beach 😆 We absolutely love New York, we were in NYC in the summer! Loved it 🥰
Happy new year cheryl. Nice food shop there ive never tried beef olives before keep thinking i will give them a go & make some myself that was good that you got them free! Bargain !! Love a bargain or a freebie !!
Hi Cheryl.. What a great shop! I love a few bits of black pudding with breakfast but can get nothing resembling it here..I hope Mr what's for tea likes the fage with honey..its my favourite.. I don't know where the honey comes from but its super flavorful.... We are getting an arctic front here in the south so i will be making your excellent warming winter food..thank you! Have a good week..
The dietitian recommens the Faget, bc each person can make it as sweet as they want (just keep it to 15g sugar or less). Chobani makes lower sugar versions with only 5g, but a limited # of flavors
Food is so much cheaper in the UK as compared with us here in Australia. I'm on a pension and food takes up a good deal of my pension. I like to have nice food, not junk, and nice meat, etc really chews into my pension.
Hiya from Canada.I followed your tablet recipe step by step and was very successful..am bouncing off the walls .I'll be taking it to work Monday for the crew to try,and help them move quicker😂My Papa made it when we were kids n now I can aswell
I tried it for the first 😊time in March when over on a trip, happened to see it in a shop here in Winnipeg and knew immediately what it was. I found it too sweet but it is fun to try new things. Yes I had haggis which I have had before. 😁
Oh what a smashing swede! I love swede but I wish I could get a decent sized one - ours are about the size of a baby's fist! My Mum always mixed together mashed swede and potato to serve with liver. She called it 'stwnch' - well she was Welsh!
Quite surprised by Sainsbury's prices , i only ever go into a Local one in a city center so never a 'big' shop . I would say cheaper that Morrisons and similar to Tesco.
Definitely is an online shopping order you complete and then you go to the store and pick it up already bagged up for you. Sometimes there is a small charge to pay for the convenience of saving you time traipsing round the store.
I wouldn't normally buy Heinz...but felt that 5 for £5 was a good enough deal...since they're usually £1.70 per can 😲 which is just ridiculous in my opinion 😄 💙
Expensivebury's is expensive, compared to Aldi. I'll give you one example. Pineapple Rings. Identical cans, one branded Expensivebury's, the other Aldi. Expensivebury's price £1.20. Aldi £0.79. You do the math, as they say? Why pay £0.79, when you can pay £1.20? 🤣 Why people choose to pay through the nose, in a cost of living crisis, is beyond me? ... The inequality of society, I suppose? Too many people with an excess of cash? Maybe snobbery? Mind you, a handful of products at Expensivebury's are price matched to Aldi ... Pity about the ones that aren't? Go to Aldi folks! ... Unless you're minted?
@MargaretWood-z6l Your comment seems snobby. I'm very happy that you're rich enough to shop at Expensivebury's, Margaret Wood! I just hope you never fall on hard times? ... In any event, Aldi is better off without customers like you.
I love blueberry muffins but don't get the ones from Tesco's they have ruined them, and they have changed the recipe. I hope they haven't done the same to Sainsbury's🩷👍🏻

Aw no! Stay safe and wrap up warm! We haven't had any snow this year...yet! 💙
Jeez! Us too! Ran to farm store yesterday and already had everything else. Stay warm!

@@jillybean5159 right?!
I can definitely recommend Sainsbury’s soup and it’s only 62p a can.
Wow! The cheapest I have seen was recently at aldi, and it was a $1.50 for one can or two servings. Lately, we have seen soup going for $4 a can😮
I was going to get that until I seen the 5 for £5 deal on the Heinz Maggie 💞
@@WhatsForTea still - it’s a £1 per tin for Heinz. There was a Nectar deal on recently for all Heinz products at half price - that definitely was worth stocking up the cupboards with them!

Hi Cheryl. Caught this one on the Saturday-finally. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year to you and yours. Cheers.
Happy New Year! Thank you Denise 🥰
It’s chilly here in Missouri! We’re expecting 17 inches of snow, so soup for supper! Stay warm!
Oh wowzers! 🥶🌨❄☃
Happy Weekend Cheryl Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤😊😊😊

Hiya! Loving the chopped pork! A real throwback to my childhood and something I miss living down south now x
NC USA here. I got some good bargains on my last shopping trip. Weather is getting really cold but no snow. Finishing off the ham from New Year's special dinner. Tried lentil soup with the bone.

Aw thank you David! The very same to you and yours...all the very best for 2025 my friend! 🥂🍾
Lovelly food haul have a great wkendxx😂
Woe, have never seen Strawberry Rhubarb soda or water! Just pie, and one brand of yogurt called Noosa (really good, lemon is like dessert)
Whole milk yogurt is very good, maybe Mr. Tea would like that?

Try Rhubarb Butter Crunch. It’s sweet, filling & served with cream or milk in a bowl.

Happy New Year Cheryl🎉thanks for the video 😊
Quite surprised by Sainsbury's prices , i only ever go into a Local one in a city center so never a 'big' shop . I would say cheaper that Morrisons and similar to Tesco.
I sure wish I could get haggis and black pudding at my local supermarket
Hi I always watch your videos I shop in sainsburys. I had a delivery yesterday.
I would just add my own honey to the Greek yogurt. Probably better quality and lots cheaper. 😊
Reminds me to place my groceries order
Poundland Heinz soup at a pound at the moment save you money
Don’t know how you do it. We are double that😡. 👌🏴
You prices care cheaper than here in the northern us.
I like Heinz mayonnaise.
Oh it's lovely too...I was going to get that! 😄👍
@WhatsForTea when it comes to butter 🧈 I always buy salted butter and occasionally one with sea salt crystals.
What is click and collect Cheryl? Cheers from Florida …. Brian
Probably ordering online and just go pick it up.

I think might be certain kind
seriously, don’t pick up the book Magnetic Aura unless you’re ready to see things differently, no joke.
2:38...
Umm....what else could he use!? 😅
Don’t know who else noticed but the quality of this year’s crackers (for cheese, etc) has been pretty bad. Shame on you Aldi.(and the others)
😊
Grand haul won’t buy Heinz soup it’s expensive home brand is good if I can’t be bothered to make my own .
I wouldn't normally buy Heinz...but felt that 5 for £5 was a good enough deal...since they're usually £1.70 per can 😲 which is just ridiculous in my opinion 😄 💙
Yes that is a pretty good deal I didn’t notice the price I would have bought it too at that price.c
I want to see you how can we see

Not in a million years

😂😂😂😂😂😂
I never go to sainsburys. Its a con.
if you’re not ready for real change, skip the book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, it’s too much for most people.
you probably shouldn’t read the book Magnetic Aura if you’re cool with missing out on how attraction really works.
Magnetic Aura book by Takeshi Mizuki ain’t for everyone, it’s for people who actually want to get ahead.
don’t read the book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki if you’re fine staying like everyone else, it’s not for you.
I love blueberry muffins but don't get the ones from Tesco's they have ruined them, and they have changed the recipe. I hope they haven't done the same to Sainsbury's🩷👍🏻
I'll let you know know Pink...I haven't tried them yet 💗 Mr WFT said they're not great 🙀
@WhatsForTea oh no, they seem to be changing the recipe on everything these days. I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it😆🤣
