Good evening everyone! Hope you’re all having a fab Sunday! And welcome to this weeks meals of the week :) I hope you’ve all had a good week! I’ll join you down in the comments for a wee while xxx
The Christmas dinner looks fab--I've a carrot soup from Cooking Light that I haven't made in a while--you're make a sachet with star anise, peppercorns, cardamom seed? Or maybe coriander, ginger, cinnamon stick... a former student once said she was doing laundry, feeling a bit under the weather, so I told her to bring her laundry over and join me for the soup--then she wanted to gage when I was making it next, to get in on it!😅 Are your Yorkshire puddings deep fried? I think we have them here, but bake them and call them popovers...the flavor combinations are almost endless.
Hi Cheryl, it’s only me- I’m just popping on to say hello - I cannot believe that I have been watching your channel since you’re very first video - thank you for all your hard work throughout the year with your recipes your shopping hauls and meals of the week - I hope you had a great week and a fantastic Christmas - thank you once again for all your love care and support - have a great New Year and have a great 2025 - sending loads of love and hugs as always~ Xxx Xxx
Hello Lovely 💓 I can't believe it either! I think I uploaded my very first video in 2017!! 😮 where does the time go eh? I hope you had a fabulous and restful Christmas...wishing you all the very best for 2025 my friend xxx
I was so pleased to see you all having Christmas dinner out, and such a nice photo of you both. Happy New Year to you all, and very much looking forward to your 2025 recipes.😊🎉🍾🎊
Washington State here. I have been watching and loving Cheryl since the beginning. I don't "get" the baked beans, but all else is wonderful. Thank you for your years of dedication to us, and please have a lovely, healthy, happy 2025.
I am so happy that you didn't have to cook Christmas dinner after all the time you spend cooking during the year. And I will say your Christmas meal looked amazing -- especially the soup! Thank you for the time taken to film this videos especially during the holidays. Hope your New Year's eve and day are everything you hope for.
What a fab week! So glad you were pampered with that delish christmas dinner..oh boy..all the trimmings😊 thank you for your hard work!..im now a mince and tatties expert😅 a peaceful new year to you all..
That looked fabulous, and I was able to match your shopping video with some of the meals. Thank you so much, and all the best for the New Year for you.
Great video! It's been a great year of recipes you've shared with us and I look forward to another year of the same. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Your food always looks so appetizing ❤ Americans don’t pair Tuna with corn, we put peas in our Tuna Casserole. We would also never put tuna & corn on a baked (jacket) potato. We call it a loaded baked potato and we put butter, bacon, cheese, sour cream & chives.
I was watching another channel where they had cottage cheese, and pineapple on a baked potato, it was from a street cart like the Spudman Cart. I tried the tuna with corn, I didn’t think they did a thing for each other, prefer the peas.
So glad I found your channel. I love your content and presentation; you're so inspiring! Happy New Year to lovely you, lovely Miss What's For Tea and Mr. What's For Tea, as well!
I’ve gone off food!!!! I’ve been overwhelmed by mountains of food since Christmas Eve. It’s nice to see your meals of the week. We are going out for dinner on Christmas Day next year, it’s a wonderful idea xxxx wishing you a fabulous 2025 ❤
Happy New Year to you and your family and to all your participants! I hope 2025 is good for all of us! Barbara in Oregon USA. Love all your videos! Your cooking is wonderful! Talented lady!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year Cheryl! Despite filling my face with oodles of stuff we don't normally eat (shortbread, sweets, mince pies, desserts-to-die-for, etc!) I was surprised to find I'd actually LOST weight today (30/12). So that was a nice start to the New year! Hope your New year is as 'full-filling' as ever and look forward to checking out the weekly shops and meals of the week for many more years to come!
Thank you so much, Cheryl, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. It was wonderful to see the picture of you and Mr. What’s For Tea’s daughter. A lovely photo! Cheryl, I would have ordered the beef for Christmas dinner as well. I faithfully prepare a turkey every year but I honestly don’t really care for turkey at all.😮 Can’t believe I actually said this out loud.😅 I agree that meat from the butchers is so much better. I can’t always make it there, but if I can I much prefer it. He calls me now to tell me when he has a fresh turkey in for Christmas dinner and so I think this contributes to my sense of duty in preparing it every year. Loll. I can’t let my butcher down!! Wishing you all the best for a wonderful New Year’s celebration and a very happy and healthy 2025. 🎉💫🥂
What lovely ladies you two are! Thank you for sharing your menus with us. Your meals always look so delicious. Have a very Happy New Years Eve and New Year and stay safe. I wish you great happiness and health throughout 2025. ❤🎉❄️✨️
Hello, Cheryl. You just can't beat Mince & Tatties. I'm glad that you all had a great Christmas Day without having to cook. Thank you for all of your Meals of the Week videos in 2024. It has been great to keep you company, and I am looking forward to more in 2025. Happy Hogmanay and Happy New Year when it comes. All the best, and I wish you a prosperous and very successful 2025!
Sadly, in the US, there are very few butcher shops any longer. As a young bride i had my favorite butcher shops but most of them closed as the big chain grocery store's put them out of business. Found one recently after we moved. Been getting pork cubed steak for chicken fried steak and country style milk gravy. Yummy!
Cheryl, thanks for all the recipes of the week and your own recipes for 2024! Have a lovely new year and I'll be back to follow along with you in 2025! Take care and much ❤
Lovely to see you in the video… The Christmas dinner out looked lovely…..I think everybody gets stuffed on Christmas Day…lol It all looks fabulous as usual… I have started writing down what we have as it’s totally strange but sometimes you just forget what we’ve had…or I do anyway…. We’ve lived off cheese n crackers this week.. Happy Hogmanay to you all north of the border…🏴🥂🏴
Whoa lovely dinners , so comforting , and my goodness you certainly deserved a wee trip out for dinner on Christmas Day , that all looked absolutely delish , what a treat , delightful , and no dishes to do etc., when my dearly beloved was alive we went to Cumbria , Yorkshire Dales and Scotland for Christmas , getting out for dinner , all dressed up on Christmas Day was the highlight of our holidays , some wonderful meals , great memories whereas this year had a Chicken Curry and Fried Rice for my Christmas as I am on my own with no children or grandchildren and very much housebound with complex medical issues , but heyho can't complain , onwards and upwards , hope you all have a Healthy and Bright 2025 , thank you again for all your lovely videos , the cheer up my days and make me smile Cheryl ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤
Love meals Cheryl. Nice to see you having a break from cooking on Christmas day, glad you all enjoyed yourselves. I made your festive pie for tea yesterday (but mafe it as a plait to look a bit fancy) & your scalloped potatoes from an old video, both delicious. Also did your slow cooker chicken Tikka masala for tea tonight, don't know what wring me me not usually a curry person but did your korma last week & tikka today just had a craving for curry lately. Your recipes never dissapoint Cheryl so thank you for sharing them
Oh Cheryl, your Christmas lunch out looked sensational! You made the best choices. That starter was magnificent. I bet the melon pickers wished they had chosen it! Just having leftover turkey from Thanksgiving today. I have made Swede which I will also have Wednesday along with my New Years steak pie. Happy New Years to you and your family.
@ I haven’t had a problem freezing turkey. Usually just reheat with turkey gravy and make veggies and sweet potato. You can also use it in other dishes. Just watched someone make a curry with turkey leftovers.
Love your recipes Cheryl, first time i've seen a pic of you. Your much younger than i thought you would be and for some reason thought you'd have short grey hair. Thanx for your videos and all the best to you and yours ❤

Yep - bring on those loaded baked potatoes, heavy on the butter and chese. Oh, and a few chives. That, if BIG enough, is a complete "balanced" meal!
So glad I found your channel. I love your content and presentation; you're so inspiring! Happy New Year to lovely you, lovely Miss What's For Tea and Mr. What's For Tea, as well!

Hello from Pasadena Maryland, and I hope you have a great New Year!
It is possible to peel the potatoes when you make Hasselback Potatoes.
Just having leftover turkey from Thanksgiving today. I have made Swede which I will also have Wednesday along with my New Years steak pie. Happy New Years to you and your family.
Does turkey freeze well? Could you eat it cold or do you need to cook it into something like a pie or crepe? I've often wondered.
@ I haven’t had a problem freezing turkey. Usually just reheat with turkey gravy and make veggies and sweet potato. You can also use it in other dishes. Just watched someone make a curry with turkey leftovers.
