Daniel Weishoff Glad you enjoy them and find them useful. My goal is for the videos to have the feel of two builders hanging out together. Helps me as I like doing the casual approach in shooting the videos as well. Lots of good stuff on the horizon. Keep watching and I'd encourage you to subscribe so you dont miss the new stuff as it becomes available.
Pedro Benitez thanks for the feedback. Nice to see you liked it. I'll have more content for tips as well as doing full project builds (like the current scorpion project). Thanks again.
Great to know this. Can't get goof off in the UK so will have to go with nail polish remover. For the lazy, you can also soak it overnight in Dettol...
Philip Khaled Brennan We don't have Dettol readily available in the states. At least not that I'm aware of. The Goof Off was more for those that can get it as it's the primary. I know that just about everyone should be able to get Acetone based finger nail polish which is my secondary. I felt it needed to be mentioned as Goof Off isn't available everywhere. Thanks for the info on Dettol for those that have that available. I've never used or know much on it so I can't speak to it.
Philip Khaled Brennan I'll have to explore and see if we have something equivalent to it here in the states. I'm sure we do. If I find a stateside version I'll be sure to mention it. Thanks again.
@Edward Markle I use Citristrip to take cars to baremetal. In this video I am just removing tampos. Actually looking to keep the paint as is. Citristrip would be the wrong thing to use for such a task. If bare metal is where you want to go by all means go with Citristrip. I do. Just keep in mind. This video is not about stripping paint of a car.
Hey Will, Sir,...I sometimes pick-up a car and want to keep the paint-job but want half-rust. How do you patina paint and half-rut it? Like the blue car in the Putting on he rust' video. How is that done? Do a Vid, or did I miss something? Thanks Man!
I plan on doing a video on that technique. It does start off with having an understanding of the DIY Rust and then the Applying DIY rust videos. If you watch those you'll be caught up and ready for the next one. 👍😉 So much in the works. I can't do them all at once. I am doing them as fast as life allows. 😉
Frugal Shave Thanks. I saw too many people mentioning that the were lightly sanding them off. 😯 Figured a video showing how I remove tampos might help. This is only for metal body cars. The reasoning behind taking the car apart is to keep plastic parts and wheels from getting damaged. I'll be finishing off the drilling and tapping the post so the car can be screwed together in another video soon.
You are a Zen Master of car modification and restoration. Beautiful stuff!!
You're too kind. I'm just a guy sharing the knowledge I've picked up through my years so that others may enjoy the hobby as well.
Thanks for making these! Very helpful and easy to watch.

Love your style and how you teach...keep it up...i'll be back!

Gaslands Garage Dettol is basically antiseptic cleaner. Use neat to disinfect surfaces, dilute to sterilise babies bottles, jam jars, etc.

Tampos? Is that synonym for decals?
good vid, brudda!
Michael Withers Thanks for the feedback. More on the way.

Great tip! I have more than a few cars with nice paint but annoying graphics.
