@Andrew_Repinski 100% absolutley. all the warbonds are fantastic and fun additions to the game. ranking them is stupid as far as I'm concerned. they all provide incredible content to the game. take just one warbond out of the game, and you've just removed a limb from the body. now the host is crippled. but if I was pressed to rank them, I too would place democratic demolition under polar patriots. I love polar patriots and I wish the npc's who all share the same collective thoughts would shutup about it, as it negatively affects the production of new content for this game. every warbond is going to be combed over w a fine tooth and the devs will be ultra paranoid releasing anything going forward which is only going to stifle creativity out of fear their ideas will be hated. such a shame.
incendiary effect only useful against bugs though (easier to keep distance, tighter grouping and more low-health enemies -> dot more effective. normal impact instantly disables scout striders though

These repliers are tripping. The entire list is basically by release date except for one. OP is just commenting how the war bonds have been getting worse and worse, which I believe to be fair. The Viper Commando warbond was the first of them to have a longer creation process anyhow, so it makes sense it wasn’t worse than Polar Patriots since it was given more time to flesh out.
The viper has by far the best armor in the game. I don't know if any other armor has that same affix, but the viper armors allow you to aim much easier and snappier. Plus it's a light armor, so faster with fast stamina regen.
The shotgun is the goat on viper commandos, the all barrels mode for the shotgun can one shot like brood mothers and Explode warriors, plus it can do great damage to others, Just not great at armor
I like the electrical conduit especially on defensive missions using upgraded tesla as it one shots players usually and only does like 10% damage with it. So easy to chain it off you into enemies too
In my case, the Twigsnapper armor is everything I want! Heavy armor, super cool-looking, and very useful armor perk (I sleep with my HMG wife) Edit: Twigsnapper armor with the predator helmet and crimson fang cape goes HARD.
Crossbow getting slept on. One shotting devastators and two shotting bile spewers while also closing a large nest in 10 seconds is nothing to ignore. He mentioned in the full vid that it doesn’t one hit hunters but it does.
I'd argue cutting edge is best. People complain about the armor passive but people don't realize how amazing the armor is when you're playing with Tesla Tower or friendlies with the blitzer.
Arc thrower was gutted and blitzer is mid. Its a passive that works if you play with friends and everyone runs it. It was way better before the arc nerfs
@@almightybogzathe Arc was hardly gutted. The damage nerf is negligible and the range nerf really needed to happen. It was way too good. The only thing that really hurt was the change in fire rate because your muscle memory got so locked into it.

I would argue the adj adjudicator is better due to being medium pen, 80 dmg per shot, long range and you do less team dmg with it than the shot gun because with the shotgun you are almost guaranteed to kill your own teammates at least once every mach.
yall sleep on electric conduit, it lets act as well a conduit. get a team mate to shoot you eith an arc throwe and you can extend its range. same thing with a tesla. its also a great armor for those who want armor that doesnt affext the game at all. they also look sick as fuck
The Carbine Liberator is one of the best variants of the two. 1 mag dump is fast enough to take down a Stalker before it gets close. The Shotgun pistol also staggers enemies, if you miss you don't have to pump like the slugger, but fire the next two and don't miss. The only "Bad" thing about it is the knife but it's STYLISH AF. The stim booster is also a huge plus with dmg reduction and speed boost. Also with Peak Physique perks, all sluggishly slow moving weapons would also be boosted in movement.
Imma hold judgement on the electric reduction armor’s quality until the illuminate arrive. In HD1 one of their core armored troops attacked with an arc weapon. Given how deadly the Blitzer and arcthrower are in the hands of my fellow helldivers, that electric reduction armor might end up being incredible
I like cutting edge for the sickle and Blitzer. Mainly because I do not like trying to manage ammo. I mainly stick with the arc-12 Blitzer, grenade pistol, stun grenade. Fortified commando/light gunner. For stratagems depending on the difficulty and enemys I will either go with grenade launcher and supply pack or shield gen and quasar cannon. I always bring 500 KG and a mech, just in case I need the extra fire power.
Polar patriots is amazing. The tenderiser literally has all 3 firing modes good recoil, handling and accuracy. And has 90 damage per shot! It is basically the best ar in the game. Easily on par with the sickle if not better.
Cutting edge is still probably my favorite. I mean the Sickle is still probably the best primary in the game, the plasma slugger is a lowkey sleeper weapon that shreds, and the laser pistol is solid too since infinite ammo on a side arm is strong. I also think it has some of the coolest armors in the game.
great ranking. Personall id swap cutting edge and steeled vets, because imo the stun granades elevate the precision strike from S tier to S++ and the sickle with the Bonus to not consume ammo when played with a tiny bit trigger discipline. Funny i just found this. We had a heated argument Just yesterday when we discussed which warbound a friend of us should start. 😂
The first premium warbond is the only one I don’t have yet. Gonna try to get it after the new one drops in a couple days. Thankfully I barely play bugs so not having the incendiary shot gun isn’t too big a deal
Reminder to new players that this is an opinion and not a fact. If you wanna be sure of what you're doing, I recommend studying the contents of the warbonds and comparing them to know which is the best - though I'll admit, steeled veterans is my number one for this. The armor effects are really nice imo, and the guns are good too, although I'm not a fan of the dominator. For the bots, I like using the regular breaker, from the standard warbond (the one that has 300~ (?) damage per shot and some 13 rounds per mag). Works pretty well for me. Also, the grenade pistol just got a buff so it's more useful as a utility now imo, but I still think the senator (which I believe is in the steeled veterans warbond) is my favorite. The grenade pistol is really not as good as you'd want it to be. It's definitely not the best secondary in the context being effective at killing your enemies. At the end of the day, it's all a matter of what works for you.
I didnt have quite enough super credits so I spent dollars on the Viper. I DO NOT REGRET! This primary carbine rips everything in the game except the slow moving armor Bugs. I leave them alone cuz they can't catch me or I use a incendiary nade to get rid of em. Not only that the secondary sawed off ONE TAPS brood commander and stalkers in its tri shot form. And one shots warriors in it's single shot form. The booster is my go to since it saves you in a pinch when you use stim. The armors look amazing and the helmet is probably the best in game! I now get about 15 to 30 melee kills in a game now since I don't waste ammo on small things. The melee damage isn't amazing but its enough to make a stalker run away or make you use less bullets on your kill since you did more melee damage. On top of all that your ship, pod, armor, mech suits all look cooler now. Easily my favorite warbond but best is Steel Veterans I agree.
Honestly, saying that the grenade pistol is the best in the game is a hot take, I'll gladly take the Senator (revolver in SV) for any mission, grenade pistol is useful for nests/fabricators, with the recent buff to most support weapons it's outclassed by a lot in term of damage/efficiency rate
Each warbond is dependent on your playstyle. You like being the team grenadier that can take on more heavy targets with primary and secondary weapons when support weapon and offensive combat stratagems are on cooldown or empty, then Democratic Detonation can do that. Would you like aesthetically tanky looking heavy armor that has explosion resistance, then Democratic Detonation covers that. You need arc resistance in a team due to everyone rocking arc weapons or arc related accidents happen too much or maybe you want to chain arc attacks with your body, then Cutting Edge can do that. You need clear out cannon fodder enemies without burning through too much ammo, helping your ammo hungry team, then cutting edge achieves that as well with the laser primary and secondary, then Cutting Edge can do that. Do you need general medium enemy clearance when others are specialized in add clear or more mini-boss enemy damage, then Steeled Vererans got you covered. You want to take out pesky berserkers in a good singular triple blast of a short barreled triple barrel shotgun (on testing, it can triple tap on the second triple blast or just one to the face, hit the torso and you can see the legs fall or the torso go flying), then Viper Commandos got you covered. Do you want to be the deadeye of team with a hand cannon of a pistol? Do you deal with CQC a lot? Do you need explosive plasma power? Then Polar Patriots got you covered. Essentially the first super credit warbond to the fifth you pick if you are a new player is dependent on your playstyle and the general loadout of your team of friends.
warbonds ranked by how cool the armor looks: 5. Democratic Detonation (The gas mask armor looks so cool but honestly the rest are pretty underwhelming) 4. Cutting Edge (The helmet on the 2nd armor looks really stupid which is unfortunate cause the other armors, especially the first one look baller asf) 3. Polar Patriots (looks like the snow troopers from Star wars and I fw that) 2. Viper Commandos (I love the inspiration from the predator movies and also men with large muscles) 1. Steeled Veterans (Robot arms)
The melee is underrated cause if a hunter jumps at you you can punch it which will stager it then you can just shoot it and viper commando armor just lets you beat them to death
Dominator is the best all-around, in my opinion. 1 shot will take down any normal automaton and the small and medium-sized bugs. The senator will be my go-to secondary forever because of the armor penetration and high damage output, at least until they come out with a better secondary that has the same punch with higher capacity or quicker reload.
My only gripe with Steeled Veterans is the armor sets, three armors with the exact same pasive with two of those being medium with the exact same stats is a head scratcher for me, I would personally put Democratic Detonation at #1, grenade pistol, three very good armors, the Crossbow and the Eruptor (even though it's not even remotely close to what it was on release it's still a decent weapon imo).
Funny enough, public perception aside I think polar patriots is a really good pass. I think that the auto and pistol it has are really good. The incendiary also does really well. The only negative to it is the final weapon reward is bad
Arrowhead did a fantastic job breaking metas, you can.make.more guns put in the work and make a better experience. Its less stale not having to using the same weapons and armor doing the same things over and over.
Even against Bots the Breaker Incendiary can be very good. Small Bots burn to death even if just nicked, and the Chainsaw Bots go down after only a few hits, plus the burn damage takes good chunks off their health during reloading.
Bro, I can't choose between steeled vets for the incindiary shotty. Or viper commandos for the insanely cool armor and stats bonuses that armor gives. Although, I do wish we could customize our armor properly. It kinda sucks that you can't use the cool armor because it's super slow and has a bad ability. At least allow for transmog, but preferably I would like for us to be able to choose our armor's color and accents
I'm surprised nobody is talking about the Purifier from the Polar Patriots Warbond, gun is actually kinda crazy effective for any small/medium enemies. Good rate of fire despite chargeup, decently deep mag, great damage and stun on successive hits, plus it's explosive so it's good for groups, and medium penetration while being an energy based weapon means it can be shot at most any enemy and be effective without the threat of ricochet back on yourself. Only fallbacks are you can't really use it in close quarters to yourself or other players and it doesn't close nests/fabricators like the Eruptor and Crossbow can. Overall I say an 8-9/10 Primary. Really shines when paired with a Senator sidearm, Quasar Cannon power, and Personal Shield backpack, and Thermite grenades.
@@chemacb Thermites are great cause they stick to surfaces and enemies, then cause a small area burning effect on that point for a few seconds before exploding. Great for putting on Heavy enemies to deal good damage with each one, or a delayed nest/fabricator destruction.
@@chemacb I prefer fighting Terminids but I use this loadout for both. If you mean which Particular enemies for Thermites, then Chargers, Bile Titans, Hulk Bots, Tanks, And Strider Factories. But honestly I prefer sniping Chargers and Hulk Bots in the face with a single Quasar shot.

People just buy what ever you like. Like the gun? get it! Like anything? else get it! If you can, but dont put any money into the game unless you are fine with it. Dont listen to people telling you what to get and what to like.
As the hoard clearer for bots the breaker incendiary is just too awesome not to bring. One shot and all the regular bots hit with it will die in seconds from the burning. So, you can clear swarms or areas of them quickly before they can call for help. Just mind the spray so you dont piss off the whole map at once.
Only problem is that the higher the difficulty the harder it is to use when the swarm of bots are landing. In which heavier firepower is required. The breaker incendiary shines no matter the level of difficulty on bugs. Standard breaker, standard SG-8 punisher and the punisher plasma (upside, you can AOE bots from cannon fodder to medium such as devastators and berserkers in a round group instead of what’s in front of you, so you can stun and kill | downside is that you have to arc your shots) shine on bots, whether for stunning or full on clearing. For just stunning, then the ARC-12 Blitzer (upside infinite ammo| downside charge up time is just a little bit slower than a devastator stops being stunned so it has a chance to shoot) shines at that. The third variation on the breaker shines in horde panic mode when you are just spraying and praying that you live. This is just for shotguns. I could go into other weapons but this topic is about shotguns.
This is my unasked for opinion. 5. Democratic detonation - not bad armor wise with the exception of the demo specialist armor and the weapons are ok. I personally don't like the adjudicatior. 4. Steeled veteran - The armors are immaculate, and the weapons (excluding the concussive liberator) are great, but it has one of the worst boosters in the game and lack luster victory poses. 3. Polar patriots - Sick looking armor sets with some good guns. Is all around great. 2. Cutting edge - Again awesome armor and one of the best primary in the game good booster and grenades. 1. Viper commandos - The best armor sets in the game, an amazing booster, vehicle skin customization, a new title, and amazing weapons and victory poses/emote.
Having stuff like this locked behind a paywall is a bit annoying. So far I'm hoping I can unlock everything just by Playing and getting enough sc, but it seems like it's a Loong grind

Polar Patriots is definitely not last place. The AR is a great all rounder. On par with the default AR and Sickle because it has pen 3. The SMG is a straight upgrade to the regular SMG. The pistol is the best traditional secondary in the game. It's only outclassed by the grenade pistol because it can close bug holes and destroy factories. People don't realise it has double the potiental damage output per full supply, it has 7 + 1 magazines; absolutely insane ammo economy. If you like the incendiary grenade then the impact incendiary is just a flat upgrade as well. Unless you like stuns, incendiary grenades against bugs is the runner up choice. They can close bug holes as well, some people think they can't but they're still tagged as "explosive". The booster helps with acid slows from bugs, and is a great 4th booster flex pick after you get the essential increased stamina, limb health, and full supply on respawn boosters. This way you're not slow-locked when fighting acid spewers. Polar Patriots is atleast a #2 pick just because 3/4ths of the weapons are viable/meta, the booster is good, and the armours are alright (recon and throw distance passives are debatablely good).
You rate Polar Patriots on its weapons and meta- I rate Polar Patriots on wanting to look like a badass snowtrooper.

Wow I didn’t realize it did that. Do you need to get a face shot on devastators, or does AOE kill it? Do you need face shots for spewers?

Default armour is the one you put on for a default experience. Flat +50 armour bonus.

Why don't the devs just add the DLCs from Helldivers? They offer the finest armory a helldiver can have at his disposal.
Steeled also has the senator which is a top notch secondary

Exactly what I said I do not need ship cameras, or any cameras for my max and help pods. I just need armor and guns.
The first premium warbond is the only one I don’t have yet. Gonna try to get it after the new one drops in a couple days. Thankfully I barely play bugs so not having the incendiary shot gun isn’t too big a deal
Cutting Edge is number one for me cause you get every armour you need from the free warbound and the Rest ist just very good
I got the Polar Patriots warbond mainly because the Tenderizer reminds me of the Battle Rifle from Halo.

The electrical resistance armour will come into its own versus the Illuminate.
Stun grenades are mandatory.
Cutting edge is likely an illuminate counter, some of their units use lightning to kill if I recall correctly.
Reminder to new players that this is an opinion and not a fact. If you wanna be sure of what you're doing, I recommend studying the contents of the warbonds and comparing them to know which is the best - though I'll admit, steeled veterans is my number one for this. The armor effects are really nice imo, and the guns are good too, although I'm not a fan of the dominator. For the bots, I like using the regular breaker, from the standard warbond (the one that has 300~ (?) damage per shot and some 13 rounds per mag). Works pretty well for me.
Also, the grenade pistol just got a buff so it's more useful as a utility now imo, but I still think the senator (which I believe is in the steeled veterans warbond) is my favorite. The grenade pistol is really not as good as you'd want it to be. It's definitely not the best secondary in the context being effective at killing your enemies.
At the end of the day, it's all a matter of what works for you.
To be fair the 1st warbond (excluding the free one) is a really good.

I like that you can get the super credits just by looking around, sure it takes time but you don’t always have to buy them
I didnt have quite enough super credits so I spent dollars on the Viper. I DO NOT REGRET! This primary carbine rips everything in the game except the slow moving armor Bugs. I leave them alone cuz they can't catch me or I use a incendiary nade to get rid of em. Not only that the secondary sawed off ONE TAPS brood commander and stalkers in its tri shot form. And one shots warriors in it's single shot form. The booster is my go to since it saves you in a pinch when you use stim. The armors look amazing and the helmet is probably the best in game! I now get about 15 to 30 melee kills in a game now since I don't waste ammo on small things. The melee damage isn't amazing but its enough to make a stalker run away or make you use less bullets on your kill since you did more melee damage. On top of all that your ship, pod, armor, mech suits all look cooler now.
Easily my favorite warbond but best is Steel Veterans I agree.

Honestly, saying that the grenade pistol is the best in the game is a hot take, I'll gladly take the Senator (revolver in SV) for any mission, grenade pistol is useful for nests/fabricators, with the recent buff to most support weapons it's outclassed by a lot in term of damage/efficiency rate
Each warbond is dependent on your playstyle.
You like being the team grenadier that can take on more heavy targets with primary and secondary weapons when support weapon and offensive combat stratagems are on cooldown or empty, then Democratic Detonation can do that.
Would you like aesthetically tanky looking heavy armor that has explosion resistance, then Democratic Detonation covers that.
You need arc resistance in a team due to everyone rocking arc weapons or arc related accidents happen too much or maybe you want to chain arc attacks with your body, then Cutting Edge can do that.
You need clear out cannon fodder enemies without burning through too much ammo, helping your ammo hungry team, then cutting edge achieves that as well with the laser primary and secondary, then Cutting Edge can do that.
Do you need general medium enemy clearance when others are specialized in add clear or more mini-boss enemy damage, then Steeled Vererans got you covered.
You want to take out pesky berserkers in a good singular triple blast of a short barreled triple barrel shotgun (on testing, it can triple tap on the second triple blast or just one to the face, hit the torso and you can see the legs fall or the torso go flying), then Viper Commandos got you covered.
Do you want to be the deadeye of team with a hand cannon of a pistol? Do you deal with CQC a lot? Do you need explosive plasma power? Then Polar Patriots got you covered.
Essentially the first super credit warbond to the fifth you pick if you are a new player is dependent on your playstyle and the general loadout of your team of friends.

The melee is underrated cause if a hunter jumps at you you can punch it which will stager it then you can just shoot it and viper commando armor just lets you beat them to death
I would put Demokratik Detonation in first place, is very good at the beginning with the bots
Dominator is the best all-around, in my opinion. 1 shot will take down any normal automaton and the small and medium-sized bugs.
The senator will be my go-to secondary forever because of the armor penetration and high damage output, at least until they come out with a better secondary that has the same punch with higher capacity or quicker reload.
My only gripe with Steeled Veterans is the armor sets, three armors with the exact same pasive with two of those being medium with the exact same stats is a head scratcher for me, I would personally put Democratic Detonation at #1, grenade pistol, three very good armors, the Crossbow and the Eruptor (even though it's not even remotely close to what it was on release it's still a decent weapon imo).
Funny enough, public perception aside I think polar patriots is a really good pass. I think that the auto and pistol it has are really good. The incendiary also does really well. The only negative to it is the final weapon reward is bad

Arrowhead did a fantastic job breaking metas, you can.make.more guns put in the work and make a better experience. Its less stale not having to using the same weapons and armor doing the same things over and over.
And the senator is a great secondary
Even against Bots the Breaker Incendiary can be very good. Small Bots burn to death even if just nicked, and the Chainsaw Bots go down after only a few hits, plus the burn damage takes good chunks off their health during reloading.

Bro, I can't choose between steeled vets for the incindiary shotty. Or viper commandos for the insanely cool armor and stats bonuses that armor gives. Although, I do wish we could customize our armor properly. It kinda sucks that you can't use the cool armor because it's super slow and has a bad ability. At least allow for transmog, but preferably I would like for us to be able to choose our armor's color and accents
I'm surprised nobody is talking about the Purifier from the Polar Patriots Warbond, gun is actually kinda crazy effective for any small/medium enemies. Good rate of fire despite chargeup, decently deep mag, great damage and stun on successive hits, plus it's explosive so it's good for groups, and medium penetration while being an energy based weapon means it can be shot at most any enemy and be effective without the threat of ricochet back on yourself.
Only fallbacks are you can't really use it in close quarters to yourself or other players and it doesn't close nests/fabricators like the Eruptor and Crossbow can.
Overall I say an 8-9/10 Primary. Really shines when paired with a Senator sidearm, Quasar Cannon power, and Personal Shield backpack, and Thermite grenades.
Interesting loadout. I haven’t tried the purifier again (post-buff). How do you use the thermite grenades effectively?
@@chemacb Thermites are great cause they stick to surfaces and enemies, then cause a small area burning effect on that point for a few seconds before exploding. Great for putting on Heavy enemies to deal good damage with each one, or a delayed nest/fabricator destruction.

@@chemacb I prefer fighting Terminids but I use this loadout for both. If you mean which Particular enemies for Thermites, then Chargers, Bile Titans, Hulk Bots, Tanks, And Strider Factories. But honestly I prefer sniping Chargers and Hulk Bots in the face with a single Quasar shot.

The warbonds have their ups and downs, nothing is ever perfect and that’s fine.
People just buy what ever you like. Like the gun? get it! Like anything? else get it! If you can, but dont put any money into the game unless you are fine with it. Dont listen to people telling you what to get and what to like.

As the hoard clearer for bots the breaker incendiary is just too awesome not to bring. One shot and all the regular bots hit with it will die in seconds from the burning. So, you can clear swarms or areas of them quickly before they can call for help. Just mind the spray so you dont piss off the whole map at once.
Only problem is that the higher the difficulty the harder it is to use when the swarm of bots are landing. In which heavier firepower is required. The breaker incendiary shines no matter the level of difficulty on bugs. Standard breaker, standard SG-8 punisher and the punisher plasma (upside, you can AOE bots from cannon fodder to medium such as devastators and berserkers in a round group instead of what’s in front of you, so you can stun and kill | downside is that you have to arc your shots) shine on bots, whether for stunning or full on clearing. For just stunning, then the ARC-12 Blitzer (upside infinite ammo| downside charge up time is just a little bit slower than a devastator stops being stunned so it has a chance to shoot) shines at that. The third variation on the breaker shines in horde panic mode when you are just spraying and praying that you live. This is just for shotguns. I could go into other weapons but this topic is about shotguns.
Viper Commando has the best booster (Experimental Infusion)
Definitely getting the democratic detonation warbond the armor is just too good.

5. Democratic detonation - not bad armor wise with the exception of the demo specialist armor and the weapons are ok. I personally don't like the adjudicatior.
4. Steeled veteran - The armors are immaculate, and the weapons (excluding the concussive liberator) are great, but it has one of the worst boosters in the game and lack luster victory poses.
3. Polar patriots - Sick looking armor sets with some good guns. Is all around great.
2. Cutting edge - Again awesome armor and one of the best primary in the game good booster and grenades.
1. Viper commandos - The best armor sets in the game, an amazing booster, vehicle skin customization, a new title, and amazing weapons and victory poses/emote.

The AR is a great all rounder. On par with the default AR and Sickle because it has pen 3.
The SMG is a straight upgrade to the regular SMG.
The pistol is the best traditional secondary in the game. It's only outclassed by the grenade pistol because it can close bug holes and destroy factories. People don't realise it has double the potiental damage output per full supply, it has 7 + 1 magazines; absolutely insane ammo economy.
If you like the incendiary grenade then the impact incendiary is just a flat upgrade as well. Unless you like stuns, incendiary grenades against bugs is the runner up choice. They can close bug holes as well, some people think they can't but they're still tagged as "explosive".
The booster helps with acid slows from bugs, and is a great 4th booster flex pick after you get the essential increased stamina, limb health, and full supply on respawn boosters. This way you're not slow-locked when fighting acid spewers.
Polar Patriots is atleast a #2 pick just because 3/4ths of the weapons are viable/meta, the booster is good, and the armours are alright (recon and throw distance passives are debatablely good).
Armor sets aren’t really a factor imo they’re mostly cosmetic as you can find the same passives in most of the warbonds
