I love Shokz! I’m blind. I use my hearing a lot. I use Shokz to listen to my phone and have my ears open. Right now, I have the OpenRun Pro Mini in beige. I’ve been using the OpenRun Pro Mini for 4 months. They’re very comfortable! I don’t even feel the neck band while laying back! I’ll most definitely order the new OpenRun Pro 2 Mini when my headphones don’t work anymore! I hope your recovery goes well!
I bought these today and I am so impressed with the sound quality. I can’t wait to take them out on a run tomorrow. I am fed up of having to constantly adjust my AirPods mid run and worrying about them falling out 🏃🏻♀️
I've had bone conduction headphones for years, but the Shokz are a cut above everything I tried before. I have the OpenComm2 since I spend a lot of time on conference calls. They work great and I have no trouble wearing them for extended periods of time without discomfort. Great choice!
I'm so excited to get a pair of these, I've been wearing Shokz daily since 2018, I never imagined there would be a significant change in how they work but these are a significant step up
Good luck on the half!! And thank you for donating to my Boston Marathon fundraiser - it was the bestttt day of my life. Hope you have a good time at your race! A mistake I made during my first half marathon was not eating enough! It always used to feel counterintuitive to eat a lot before a run, but for a half marathon a big breakfast is a must, at least in my experience! I give myself an hour or so to digest, but it makes a big difference. Also, I have been meaning to try out Shokz - this video read my mind
Wahoo on training for your first half, doing the same here for one in December!! Thanks for the review..most likely going to pick these up. Love the orange!
Justine is my go-to tech girlie... Been a health sciences student, and one day going into nursing school, I don't understand one thing about tech... Thank god for Justine haha ❤
I have never tried these, but last week I was at the Audiologist and she put some bone conducting headphones on me and I was shocked by how well they worked to get me the sound.
Half marathon tip: practice your fueling. That will be the key to running strong and prevent you from hitting the wall. And of course the golden rule, nothing new on race day! I’m tempted to buy these headphones. I already have the openrun pros so it will be a while before I need new ones. I love them for podcasts but music isn’t as good so I still run using my AirPods if I want music.
There is a guideline on Shokz website. If the measurement from the middle of your left ear to the right ear is less than 23.5cm, go for the mini, otherwise go for the standard size.
You have to remember these are not studio over ear headphones, or buds that are sealed into your ear canal , if you are an audiophile seeking the very best sound, you may want to look elsewhere. However these do well for a use case where you need to hear a bit of what is going on around you, and the sound is reasonably ok imo . And they are light and fairly comfortable and unlike those of us that just cannot wear in ear buds because they are uncomfortable or they fall out , these are a great solution.
Less vibration = Bone conduction reduction I picked up my Openrun Pro 2 a week ago. I currently have the Aftershokz Aeropex. The Openrun pro2 have more bass, but, I like the "in my head" bone conduction sound when making calls on the original, several Aeropex better. With loud ambient noise, I find it harder to hear with the new one. If I place my fingers in my ear canals or use foam ear plugs, the sound increases a lot on the aeropex. On the new model, the sound is reduced a lot. I believe the air speaker is the problem. Maybe the problem of the bone conduction driver is: 1 The placement of the new headset is not as close to your skin 2 It is smaller to make room for the other driver. 3 Or, it is not energized as much to increase the battery of all four drivers (it is my understanding there are 2 per side) I am obviously speculating. However, the new one is better to listen to music in a quieter ambient environment. Hopefully, this may be a software controlled remedy..ie reduce/increase the volume of individual speakers. I know I will receive comments Such as..these were design to hear your surroundings or buy an in ear set for loud noises. I have a previous bone conduction that works great in loud environment. These are individual reduced compromise of the open air and the original bone conduction models
Did you checkout the headphone safety adjustment in the settings ? Even I installed mine the volume was somewhat lower due this , but I’d guess I got another 15% louder after resetting it.
@mikldude9376 Thanks for the idea. I checked and discovered the sound limit was already turned off. (I purchased a new phone after getting the new set)I also previously customized my sound profile to fit my hearing needs. The newest headset..pro2 are definitely the problem. The bone conduction parts are not as loud. The reduction is probably the reason people don't feel any vibration.
Half Marathon training tip : Take your time, don't overtrain, listen to your body. You have plenty of time to train for half-marathon, minimum is 3 months. Your cardio will improve much faster then your joints/bones/tendons. You will feel like you can run more and faster. But. your joints take more time to recover as you age. They will recover faster as you train more but it is a slow and steady process. So.. don't rush. Pay attention to recovery. If you feel one day your joints are not up to the task, do a cross-training day instead and go for swim or biking.
I guess she plans to retire soon. she is hitting 40 and is getting more into sports, health and enjoying life. So if you are gonna retire, just try getting all the money you can before you do, right ? I guess this is that phase going on. She never made actual in-depth reviews of any products anyways. so don't be shocked if in a few months she announces her retirement or transitioning the channel into VLOGGING content.
The competition level on RUclips has greatly increased as there are more content creators. Every kid wants to be a RUclipsr. With a larger supply of creators, the money per view is way down. It's very hard to make a living from lifestyle content because there are no barriers to creating that. Especially difficult when money is tight due to the economy and interest rates. Companies not throwing money around any more. Companies are more results oriented in this environment and they would rather pay a respected tech influencer to show their product instead of just having their ads randomly appear in the middle of a 20 minute vlog.
.... I recieved my pro 2 Friday and wow what an upgrade in sound quality in the Bass Mids & Highs Over the Pro ... .... No Vibrations Have I Felt ....The Pro 2 Sound Is Close To That Of The OpenFit But With Almost Twice The Battery Life .... My Only Issue With The OpenRun Pro 2 Is The Material Shokz Makes Them From Breaks My Skin Out Which Never Happened/Happens With OpenRun Pro ....I Cut Out Some Thin Material To Place Over The Offending Areas Of Pro 2 ....If This Doesn't Fit The Skin Irritation Issue I'll Have To Return Them
can you please ask about the new ipad mini and the waterproofing of the ipads.the tenth gen ipad works great for me my dear Mrs.iJustine.have a good one my dear Mrs iJustine.
have a great labour day weekend my dear Mrs.iJustine.have a good one my dear Mrs.iJustine.take care my dear Mrs.iJustine.btwdid they catch the boston marathon bomber my dear Mrs.iJustine?bye.
Great video, I’ve been looking at these. Please for the love of god. Do not run at night or alone. With stories like Jocelyn, Laken and Rachel, that is just not a good idea. The recent powers have made the US way too dangerous to be running alone and at night. Be smart. Get some Krav Maga or jujitsu, carry a compact sharp thing and inreach mini. Be smart ladies, I work in a field where I see a lot of bad things. Don’t be the next headline 🙏 ❤
I have the OpenRun pros (1) and wasn't sure if upgrading would be worth it. I think having USB-C for charging alone would be nice. I am always worried i'm going to loose the only charging cable I have for mine.
I had no idea they made earbuds that didn’t actually go in your ear🤯 I need these the AirPods make my ear sore on the Inside and I hate using the big headphone that go over your ears because they hurt too lol 😆
I suggest a detox before the marathon. (Dr. Schulze's / American botanical pharmacy 30 day detox) Our body regenerates very quickly when it's not full of toxins. The headphones look good! Thank you for sharing.
This channel is… well it’s something lol. What really gets me is that none of the comments are even about the product…. Im convinced Justine and Jenna built up whatever number of followers was required for brands to pay them for adds, then only did ads. Literally, it’s an add channel with a recognized figure to back the products. It’s shamwow for technology. Glad she has a job but the comments… yall she’s way past caring about anything any of us have to say lol. She gets a product, she makes a video, she gets paid. That’s it. She probably gets more views that the ads that play before your RUclips video because of her name alone. Ultimately for me it’s giving nepotism baby with the resources to know how to find an easy way.
@@paradigmshift470 You really should go elsewhere. Why are you watching or making comments? BTW, Justine built this channel and 7 M followers, no way is she a nepo baby.

3:11 I think most sounds are transported into your brain through your ears 😁
I love my Shokz, I wear them all the time, they're so comfortable sometimes I forget I have them on. They are more essential to me than a smartwatch.
Same! I get really annoyed at myself whenever I forget my shokzs
I have the first version of these and really like them. I like being able to hear my surroundings and they feel nice on my head too lol
I'm so excited to get a pair of these, I've been wearing Shokz daily since 2018, I never imagined there would be a significant change in how they work but these are a significant step up
Good luck. I’m waiting on mine to see how good they are. Thanks for the review
Just bought my pair of steel blue Openrun Pro 2's. Super superb sound quality

Great video and good luck about the marathon!!!!
I’m completed a half marathon without training (no prior running history either) just have fun that’s my advice, you will finish if you want to 😊
Almost everyone I work with in the power plant uses Shokz. Love the pair I got. If you say this one is an upgrade then I’ll definitely check them out.
I think that the ear 👂 sound quality is the most important!
You get what you pay for🤩
I have never tried these, but last week I was at the Audiologist and she put some bone conducting headphones on me and I was shocked by how well they worked to get me the sound.
Just got mine today. The best I’ve had ever aside from soundcore’s ear cuff headphones
Love The Vids Justine, Keep it up.
Good luck on your half marathon Justine! Hope you do well!
My number one tip is to make sure you’re doing runner specific strength work!
Good luck. Love all the videos, can’t wait for Apple season
Nothing beats TOZO O2 True Open Ear Wireless Headphones for me. I can’t believe it is way cheaper than Shockz and as good if not better.
Some do say it's all about that bass.. Hahah very goodstuff thanks.

I’m training for a half marathon in feb also! High five!
They looks so awesome
I'm curious how well they actually sound.

Justine is always excited 😇
Specially when she's "partnering" with a brand
I HAVE OPEN RUN PRO …PRETTY GOOD …BUT THE VOLUME NEEDS TO DEFINITELY GO UP FOR SURE
agreed. the standard ones are actually louder than the pros. I wonder if these are any different.
Do you like the red light therapy? I've been thinking of trying it. Also, I love the purple nails.
I love the design, the way they fit around ones head.
The day after a half marathon, go get a massage. Usually I get one aimed as a sports massage. Recovery as you train: roll and theragun as you go.

Are you gonna be doing some iJustine fitness videos?
Nice video iJ!
iJustine: "Oh Shokz! Bone conduction technology is truly awesome!"
only youtuber who can do the same content for 15 years and still be relevant
I sure would like to get me those Shokz OpenRun Pro 2
0:02 Let me finish that sentence for you. You're excited about today's video because they're paying you to make it.
0:29 flip 🤩
Justine's thinking that her AirPods case is like one tenth the size of these things 🤣
What’s with all the ads lately?
She usually does just sponsorships

How bad is the sound leakage? 🤔
Oh shit yes yes yes yes I'm lovin'it

I’d probably get the swim pro version. Same price but waterproof.
Good luck on your half marathon
I assume they won't be able to sound as good as in ear buds but how big is the difference?
nice video and good product and you are unique girl 👍🥰🥰
I had an older set of these. The bone conduction gave me migraines. :( But I though they were really cool tech though.
How do these sound compared to the openfits?

I SWEAR TO GOD JUSTINE IMA BE RUNNING AFTER YOU IF YOU DONT POST ABOUT THE DJI NEO
❤ Awesomeness ❤
You forgot to mention the type-c charging port! No more proprietary charging cables!
I had no idea they made earbuds that didn’t actually go in your ear🤯 I need these the AirPods make my ear sore on the Inside and I hate using the big headphone that go over your ears because they hurt too lol 😆
Thanks to you i use the swim headphones,
Like the review but the close-up of the headphones are very dark except when you're in the picture.
i miss your gaming videos:(

The headphones look good! Thank you for sharing.
I use the old ones at my work because of osha we need ear plugs in so with these we are compliant 😂
Next video for her is the DJI Neo
I madly love you ❤❤
Would be nice to have heard the mic but nice review.
Under one hour gang 👇
I got the older mini ones guess I’ve got a small head as well 🙃

Wow. I didn’t have an ad in the beginning🎉🎉. Great video though, Justine 😊
No ad now you can watch your ad!
