@@sweetmusicmedicine You're right, the title is definitely Eagle Ridin' Papa (from Tennessee), but the big question is whether the author is Big Bill Broonzy or Tommy Dorsey ('Georgia Tom'). If you remember, we discussed this a lot here a year ago. I'm more inclined to think it was Tom (he credited himself as the author on his records), but no definitive evidence has yet been found.

@@sweetmusicmedicine Here's what I wrote to you a year ago
Bill and Dorsey sing the same song, the words are exactly the same. You can listen to both versions on RUclips. In addition, there is no recording where Bill sing solo. On the recording where Bill sings, Thomas A. Dorsey, who plays the piano in this recording, sings along with him on backing vocals in the chorus. That is, Dorsey is present (alone or with Bill) in all the early recordings of this song. Actually, on the source (you can easily find it by the name of the record) where I got the information above from, there are only 4 early vinyl records with this song. On two of them, the song is performed by "Famous Hokum Boys" namely Big Bill Broonzy (vocals), Frank Brasswell (guitar), Thomas A. Dorsey (piano, backing vocals). This recording is widely circulated and has been republished later many times. On the other two (both 1929: Gennett - 6919, Champion - 15834) Dorsey sings alone. On the Famous Hokum Boys's records, the author is not credited, while on the Dorsey's solo records, Dorsey is credited as the author. This is facts that are easy to verify (you can see photos of these records and listen to the recordings).

@@sweetmusicmedicine A photo of the record, with Dorsey credited as the author, can be seen in the video titled "Eagle Ridin' Papa - Georgia Tom (1929)" on the Seventy8 channel.
