In preparation for a new album of instrumental music, I've done some heavy reworking on a lot of my older arrangements, including this extended version of my Harold arrangement. The album is currently available for streaming and download at this link.. headmasterhast...
Enjoy friends!
This sounds like if Harold was going to go off to fight in WWII and this would play while he's lifting up in the sky as he says his goodbyes.
his basis (the Sikorsky S-55) first flew in 10th November 1949 so that would probably be impossible
cuz helis wernt common in ww2
@@eae2047 What year is the kolibri helicopter built?
More like Vietnam
He's not really a war copter, but more like a rescue copter.
Percy: Thank you, Harold!!
Harold: Good to be of service!
"Oh dear, Harold's come to laugh at me!".
@@JackFitzsimmonsZondaFanSomething thudded onto Percy's boiler.
Dude, the Music you produce is, in most cases, on par if not better than the originals. Literally five seconds into listening to this and I’m hooked. Whenever I feel down in the dumps or something, I just put on my headphones and listen to your work. I love it, and can’t wait to see more! Amazing Job!
Harold’s extended theme is very underrated, the fact that you mixed this with Harold’s season 5 song is brilliant
My favourite character in the franchise, this is brilliantly done. ❤ Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies. 🚁
If someone made a movie with the original models again, this should be used! This is golden!
Harold's theme was always a favorite of mine from the classic series, and this arrangement of it is some of your best work yet! I love how regal and energetic it sounds, and I also love how you combined Harold's regular theme with elements from the Harold sing-along song. It takes two already fantastic pieces of music, and flies above and beyond!
"I think railways are slow! They're not much use and quite out of date!"
Well yes but achually no
Percy: hold my cars....
Every time I hear Harold's leitmotif, I'm put in mind of some massive airshow or something similar, and as his motif plays, some truly grand old warbird like an Avro Lancaster, slowly taxies out of a hangar, and to the runway, before revving to full power, thundering along the tarmac, until it LEAPS into the skies its' true home, the mighty Merlins singing their song.
*bomber crews are playing Poker in the mess when a man runs out and rings the bell to signal a scramble, so they all rush to the 19 modified Avro Lancaster's and then shooting off into the sky*

I’ll be honest, you always manage to impress me with how you can just mash so many different tunes together and make it sound amazing
Wonderful Suite! Harold the helicopter will always be ready and able to rescue others in need!
Ngl
This sounds like this is a victory musical like someone just won WWII
I agree is like when world peace is here and the people play this song
probably either from "The Great Escape" or from Chicken run"
Part of the tune is taken from the WW2 film “Dam Busters”.
The Sikorsky S-55 has served in many war zones. Harold and his brothers have saved many lives in both war and peace time.
So true
I don’t know how you made the most epic character theme from the classic series more epic, and yet you managed
"Thomas: who is he, Harold?... "Asked thomas"
"Harold Responed with nostalgic feelings: My grandfather....a war hero. thomas"
My headcanon for that: Harold's grandfather was a medevac helicopter during WW2. Not a "fighting aircraft" per se but a life saving war hero nonetheless.
I've got an idea for that, too. His big shining moment was during the assault on the Siegfried line where he saved an entire squad's worth of infantry, but almost got shot down by Flak 88s. Braving the Ack-Ack fire and shrugging off MG-42s trying to shoot him down he accomplished his mission with only minor scratches through a combination of skill and a little luck.
(Side note: I don't know if the British had helicopters during WW2, I know the US and Germans did but I'm just guessing.)
“Well done, cheers and keep up the good work!” 🚁
This is amazing
This sounds very amazing man! Keep up the good work!
Great video
“Cheers! And Keep up the good work! Said Harold” “Cheeky Chopper...” Said Rusty
Incredible!

Harold: Love to stay and chat, but duty calls and we must answer. Headset on, pilot! Harold the Helicopter is on the way!
Hey Harold's design gave me inspiration for my characters Freddy and Frances.
2:39-2:55 🎶 So, look to the skies. See how he flies. You can rely, Harold will be there.🎶
Awesome!
It's Sodor's Favorite Whirlybird.

I thought this would’ve been the song cover, but can you make a cover for the Series 5 song as well?
Harold, we salute you.
the most heroic music you’ve done yet.
you know what you should do for a laugh, make the song from percy and harold, pop goes the diesel, and toad stands by.
p.s. any chance you can make some music from ttte sister series, tugs.
I wonder, have you ever tried making your own fanmade themes? Like for characters who never really got ones, like Culdee or the Small Engines?
Just need a suite for Donald and Douglas and I’m a 1 happy man because there is Scottish people here as well
Amazing music of Harold the Helicopter theme and can you do a Harold the Helicopter song of Series 5 for Orchestra version soon?
this gives me battle of Britain Vibes
Fun fact: Harold the Helicopter is based on the Sikorsky S-55 transport helicopter
Imagine if Harold was in Transformers as the Decepticon Blackout
This is amazing is it ok if you can do Duncan's theme cover
An victory musical suite for Harold the Helicopter
Whenever I hear this theme I don't think of Harold the helicopter I think of the FLYING SCOTSMAN making a grand entrance. (That's just what I picture in my head whenever I hear this theme)
Reminds me of Regatta (4th July) from TUGS.
100th comment. anyways, this is great!
Everyone stand for the National anthem
This..is...epic. Great work. Can i use this for my series? I will 100% Credit you.

Dude YOUR BASICALLY CONTINUING JOE BINS LEGACY
Did you know the song Troublesome Trucks was inspired by Laughing Policemen ? You should consider that your next mashup.

Actually, after a quick search, it looks like Sikorsky S-55 N405A is still in preservation in Los Angeles, so happy ending all around.
