I have loads of RF and CF rifles, but still have a soft spot for AR's, especially 80's stuff. Great work, keep it up mate, best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Liam Love seeing the patriot in action I dont have a fac but wanted a chunky springer Got an early 2004 hw80 Had it tuned down to legal 12 😮 and its pcp accuracy if held right More patriot please ❤
Cheers matey!! I fancy a 80 myself at some point, I did enjoy this shoot and I'll definitely use it again. I'll try a few other Springer's first but it's definitely coming out again soon 👍
I had one in.22 Calibre FAC back in around 97/98 as I recall. I’m also uncertain if it was called Patriot when first introduced. I believe it was claimed as MV 32 ft lbs and fairly agricultural. It certainly required an acquired knack to break open the initial stage of cocking.
I think it was called the Kodiak in America, this one has had a gas ram conversion so is much smoother than a spring unit. But in a springer set up they are very agricultural buddy, I've read that the trigger was bad and that worried me before I bought mine, but tbh the trigger is actually really nice. So maybe I got lucky with this particular rifle 🤔🤔
@foggy342 his liked the fx hybrids let him try loads he loves it but as you say there a big arse lump to cart around my impact with tripods heavy enough lol just getting old 😄
Thanks John 🙂, I've found every Springer reacts differently to shooting from a tripod mate. My 97k is fine with being clamped in tight but the others hate it, and are happy when just rested loose on a rubber V rest in the clamp. I'm sure you'd find a Compromise with whatever set up you choose buddy, main thing is to practice with it 👍👍
Enjoyed that mate.. subscribed. Very Surprised you didn't have any luck with the bait.. I have stopped using peanut butter, and only use garlic mayo on my rat perms.... they love it.. Lee ... Huddersfield.
Thanks Lee, I've tried it a few times now and at a few different permissions. It's never worked mate. I've even tried the fat out of the grill pan, which I thought would be fantastic for them, and that didn't work 😂 I've given up with baits now !!
Why are you making videos of pest control using old springers. Not that interesting really. Just use what's available. You're still using modern day tripod and night vision optics.
That's the point really isn't it ? I have high end pcp's etc but where else are you going to see classic airguns doing what they were made for. You can watch 1000 other channels to see the same PCP stuff, I think it's boring and like to mix it up mate. I think I do a decent mix of airguns, rimfire and centerfire stuff 👍
Great video and excellent marksmanship I still have an FAC Air Arms TX200 in .22 chronographed 18lbs ft and a Diana Air King 54 in .177 22ft lbs . Both super fun to use and effective out to 60 yds or so on small game etc but at 80, cocking the Diana is a real work out and requires technique, but some real surprises and laughs when others try to cock it.
Thank you pal, much appreciated 💪💪 from a bench with these pellets it's groups at 1 inch but accuracy drops off quickly after 60 yard's. I'd certainly only use it from the tripod at closer ranges though, I know it's a big heavy beast and doesn't really have a place in my collection other than a bit of fun, but it's got a lot of character and I'll keep it as long as I hold my firearms license 🤞🤞
Enjoyed your springer video. I have been hunting with my hatsan mod 95 springer. Both 22 cal and 25 are game getters . Thanks 😅
Can't believe the negative comment, it's different from the normal PCP vids and a refreshing change so carry on pal👍
Cheers mate, I enjoyed making the video as it's more of a challenge 👌👌
i think its great mate.your best videos are the ones where you are tuning this gun up. theres no school like old school👍
Ahhhh bless mate, thank you 💪💪

I bet that takes some cooking, awesome job. rats had me carrots down allotment overnight, wonder why l bother sometimes, trap jobby.
Thank you pal, I only really notice the cocking effort once I go back to a sub 12, but yes it's much harder than a sub 12.
The best gun what i ever had, make a fantastic job. This qualty build anymore ,thats said.
Sorry mean quality.
@@jorgkemler6319 yes mate, the build quality is excellent 👌 it's a lovely gun to use but it is a handful for sure !!
I love it 😊😊
One of the farmers I shoot for has one he loves it a d had to introduce him to slugs as well as hades lol
This hates slugs but the Hades do well mate.

Springers are much more fun than PCP things they also take a tad more shooting ability than a PCP .
@@petenikolic5244 you get it mate 👍👍👍, anyone can pick up a PCP and shoot like a pro, I guarantee most would struggle with this Webley 👌
