I'd love to hear this piece played on an actual flute! The digital sound sample used in this recording is superb, but it just doesn't carry the same weight and feel as I would expect to hear from a live performance, especially on the runs. I know a live performance would be lacking in precision, but let's hear it as it would display the real frustration much better!

@@RED40HOURS this is just known as fast chromatic, of course "jazz" offers a chromatic in it, but fits in categories of pentatonic, blues, or a chord where it follows a set of notes but adds in a slide of chromatic slope in it. Music is very difficult to explain fast, but if this possibly has an ounce of help, than I hope
As someone who's mother is a professional flute teacher at music school i can confirm, not as the one playing, but as the one having to listen to this 5 hours a day. Every day. Her music is amazing and flawless. And its so soothing to listen to the stuff she plays but 5 hours are pretty long id say. Conpared to the single hour i invest into my violin everyday...
our band was actually talking about breathing a few weeks ago and my teacher told us ‘YOU CANT BREATH!’ and ‘You should pass out at the concert before you breath on a bar line’ and my personal favorite ’if you breath on a bar line your family will be cursed forever’ she’s great. and she called us out in front of the whole concert band 🤠🤠

Ah yes. So relatable. In elementary, I wanted to be in band. So my short tiny self walks in and says "Hi there mister, I would like to join." to the band teacher. Eventually it came down to the flute....and oh god I regretted it. I swear I almost developed asthma and I almost passed out every time I had to practice(my stepfather made me practice for at least an hour straight). The headaches I got were terrible, and at concerts, I was so nervous, anxious, overwhelmed and disappointed in myself, I couldn't even read the sheet music. Hell, I couldn't read it to begin with. My teacher didn't care. He never helped me. So I struggled until the year ended and I quit. Now I can't even look at a flute without getting a splitting headache and horrid light- headedness. 😅
Funny story, a vocalist friend of mine was showing me a piece of hers that had G4, A4 in it a lot, and at first I read it in flute and I thought “meh” but then I read it in vocalist and was like “holy shit absolutely not”.
