I commented, "you left after you got fired, big difference". There is a graphic telephone recoding of what Bill was saying to the lady that got him fired on RUclips.

The problem now is that if you are waiting to board a plane and the pilot walks by and he's black or female, Then you have to wonder was he or she hired because he or she is black or simply the best person for the job
I do not doubt that Musk's comments are with merit. I have an acquaintance who applied for a pilots position with a major corporation. After numerous interviews and about a year he eventually was hired. In the end he was told the delay was due to them trying to find a diversity candidate.
Had it been the other way round “the delay is due to us trying to find a white guy” there would be an outcry…

For example, if you are hiring engineers and want 50% of them to be women you will need to select them from only 10% of all possible engineers because 90% of them are men
I was the person you are talking about- highly qualified, excellent experience, and the premier airline in the WORLD saw that and hired me for a career flying for their franchise. There was NO CONSIDERATION WHATSOEVER in the hiring process of my RACE, SLAVERY, SKIN COLOR, ETHNIC BACKGROUND, etc.

Bill although some may not really get it when you approach it from flying safely. But it is identical to this situation. I would look at him and say, you have a choice. You need heart surgery. One guy has a 90% average the other has a 35% average and one is black and the other is white. Who do you want to operate on you? Do not tell him which one has what average.

As a former helicopter flight nurse, safety is the #1 issue. If it is not, then FOUR PEOPLE have a good chance of getting dead. Situational awareness is just as critical as the patients we transport.
