Are Dirk's fingers like that due to the fact that AI usually butchers fingers? If that's the case, then the detail where Dirk's fingers patch up (referring to the fact that AI is improving rendering fingers) is amazing. All the little hints are immaculate, and I genuinely can't say enough good things about this film!
Perfect ending: The blonde guy started to draw normally and ended up being a good artist and became rich and famous. (He took the cat Mr Fluffy with him)

What's your position about AI art trained with artists works without consent or compensation? 😮
@@Mente_FugazI think in an ideal world their needs to be consent and/or compensation if original art is used, esp if it is monetized. I look at it in a similar way to music. A DJ who puts out a mashup of songs or bands who perform cover songs for a backyard party versus at a music venue - the originating author of those songs does not get credited/compensated for their use. Its unfortunate but it is so hard to regulate

Im an autistic artist who has been unable to progress my art since I was a teen. Sadly it’s becoming harder to draw as I get older. I really felt myself relating to this short.

(But seriously, I think Midjourney would quickly catch on with that final image. Not because it's horrific or anything, but because Anti Artist was spelt correctly.)

As an art history student, I can say for sure that the what he created was art and would absolutely revolutionize the art industry
There is no way anyone could stop me from being an artist and I don't care if anyone thinks that my art is useless. I love it ❤ the whole atmosphere in this film was dark and unpleasant (it's really hard to make it look that way) but the ending was enjoyable. Really good work...I mean art. 😁

Just for your information, AI does NOT know about you or your relatives/friends. If you typed in "blake". It would simply generate an image of a famous person named blake if there is one, not any specific person.
If you insert enough information about something or someone ai will start to learn. Eventually Blake's art would be considered to the AI. Crazy eh ?!

Ok, the roommate getting turned into art was pretty cathartic. Dirky's gone from making AI art to making physical art (not an artist my ass) and his art is revenge against his roommate art art. There's also a lot of set-up here that makes it more powerful than it would be if you summarized it in a few words. . . This will be a very long comment if I try to elaborate.
ps: the spaghetti was pretty clever. One of the things artists do is they repeat things that are meaningful to them. To my knowledge, this is not something computers can do all by themselves yet, so in a way, its presence here is proof that an AI artist is really an artist. Because even if it's just a few words meant to be turned into an image (Haiku, anyone?), there's still a human behind the wheel with their own intentions and, for lack of a better word, humanity (e.g. repetition).
