Cole, I remember a few months ago you being a bit down: ill/injured/lost your mojo… to go from that to close to your PB… pretty good, lots more to come I reckon.
Encouraging progress and in our experience it takes about 6 weeks for the fruits of good training to translate into a race performance. So youll feel the full benefits of the Portugal miles soon.
A little more sharpening stuff, E.g. some 400’s on Tuesday instead of a tempo. Shorter runs rather than the 2 10milers I did, and more of a 10minute shakeout rather than a 5mile on the day of the race :)
@@ColeRunning A local club is putting on a monthly cycle track 5k starting 10th May. So I've only got a couple of weeks before the first one. My Strava No is 7261109, but don't put yourself out if you're busy etc. Appreciate the offer though!

Its a great course . Hopefully get back here over the summer
I have to say I don’t enjoy it all that much, I find it a tough mental battle at about 3k

Thanks Alec, when you put it like that. Been a bit of a battle but the motivation is there!

Well done mate 👏👏
Thanks buddy!
Decent effort coming off the back of big mileage! What taper would you have done if you were targeting a 5K pb?

@@ColeRunning Cheers, gives me some ideas as a quicker 5k is my next target!

@@ColeRunning Managed a 17:15, PB by around 30 seconds. 400s worked well! Hopefully a sub 17 next time out! Cheers
I love racing, but i cant stand that feeling when you got 10 mins and have to go to the toilett and havent changed shoes and still have to do strides.
Yeah it was so dumb haha
Well done Cole and great job Abbie ❤️

Certainly won’t
Depressing, obviously running to kill demands.
Depressing? I don’t get it? Please elaborate my friend

@@MTBEAST007 thanks Mr Beast sir, I’m just confused as to what it means haha
@Cole Running he doesn't make sense mate...dumb trolls rarely do. I just block negative people. I wish i could block them from watching too.
It's pretty depressing to come to the comments just to talk crap about a guy who inspires so many people and spreads nothing but positivity. #colearmy
