Brother I won my first amateur mma fight via tko in round 1, I have watched all your videos thanks brother for awesome tips and tricks. You don't know how many future world champions you are makin (I m one of them).
Great video, thanks for sharing. My shoulders sound like Rice Krispies (snap, crackle, and pop) Getting back to these stretches are key to regaining my ability
That was lovely, i didnt get the chance to stretch after last nights training properly so my body is pretty sore and i have training again later tonight definitely relieved lots of tension i had built up 👍
Thanks so much for covering this! I do a lot of leg stretching, but have been neglecting my upper body. This will be a perfect addition. I find it helps when stretching not merely to "count to ten", but to count breaths instead, with an inhale/exhale counting as "one." It prolongs the stretching routine but also helps to focus and alleviate boredom.
Hi Gabriel, Somedays I lift weights after my muay thai sessions, but a friend of mine told me that It's worthless after a the thai class. Is it really unproductive? Should I lift before, another day? (It can be a video idea ^^) Thank you in advance
You’re likely going to be too fatigued after muay thai to get the most out of lifting weights. If you can space out your muay thai and weight training at least 6 hours apart or do them another day
I went to first mma training ever at a gym as a tryout day. It was literally just me, a turk, an eastern european that didnt know our language and the coach. First we did warmup which was a few minutes of running, 10 push ups and 10 sit ups, that was the warm up. Than it was holding gloves up for the other to hit them with a combo in turns. The combo we were supposed to do was shown beforehand. I was pretty ass at that cause I didnt always process that I had to throw a hook after the cross for example. That also made me mess up my footwork. Than we did clinchwork where we had to knee the other guy. I was scared to hurt the other initially. The eastern european guy coached me more than the actual coach and was more helpful, however he also hit me all out immediately. After that stuff came hard sparring, ya they made me hard spar instantly first day in mma gloves. It was no going to the head because I didnt have a mouthpiece and no kicking above the waist. Also no elbows. At first I tried to swat away punches, I very quickly changed that since they were going all out. I also realized they couldve hit me in the face if that was allowed. I also quickly started using my range advantage cause I'm like 1,85 while the eastern european was around 1,70 and the others around1,75/1,80. They were ripping to my ribs and stomach. I just jabbed a lot and also started feinting real fast cause I noticed they just look for counter. The eastern european got annoyed and started doing oblique kicks which was crazy to me. Made me bounce and use range even more + I tried legkicks. I got taken down 0 times but they only tried like 4x. I naturally sprawled as well as being bigger than 2 of them. It was 10x 1 min spar with 30 sec rest in between + switching partners. My cardio kept up cause I trained that a ton before even going their, I also managed to stay calm the entire time which really helped me with cardio as well I think. One thing that kept working for me against all sparring partners was grabbing their lead hand and than hitting them with the grabbing hand, so a jab or going for a cross. They all got kinda uncomfortable whenever I grab their hand or pushed it down. All in all I wouldve gotten smoked if we were allowed to go to head cause I have little defense, got 0 defense training and I would neglect defense when my body got ripped. They offered me a new free training on monday cause there was only 4 of us and supposedly there would be more people than. I'll check it out. Definitely surprising to me they put me in hard spar with only a few minutes of practising combos and 0 defense training. They also really wanted to go to the head as well and only didnt cause I didnt have a mouthpiece. The coach was also obviously on steroids. What do you guys think? If any of you even read all this....
Dont have any experience in mma but do have experience in kickboxing. Sounds like a dodgy place if the coach was making you spar hard on the first day. Not to mention the very short warmup and that there was only 4 people there including the coach.
Awesome! Yeah my shoulders get super jacked up if i don't stretch properly. Being 45 doesn't help either, lol.

At my age , it’s shoulder issues …:( because of hooks. And probably because I am not good enough .
Sir Gabriel,
What happend to the BKF of buakaw & saenchai?
