That euphorbia cutting at the beginning! 💖💞 You are definitely in your element and it's exciting to watch your planter beds take shape. Beautiful work!
Every time I look forward to new episodes, and I sincerely don’t understand why there are such small numbers under the video, because there should be millions of views)) the new cacti are a dream, they look amazing!!🌵♥️ the dialogue with the birds made me laugh, so cute and funny😆
Oh thank you Mari, that's very sweet of you to say! I'm just happy to be able to share my passion for these quirky and fascinating plants with others who feel the same way. The supportive comments from everyone really mean a lot and keep me motivated to keep going! 💕🌵🥰
The boards of the raised beds are barely noticeable now. Looks like one long garden bed. The plant combinations are really working...looks so natural. Love that jade and the birds singing!
Thank you, Jane! It's great that the beds starting to blend together more seamlessly-that's what I was aiming for, and hopefully, the divisions will be more indistinguishable as the plants take root and grow. Finally getting to experiment with these plant combos has been on my mind since the balcony days!
That large opuntia you can eat the young pads from the mother plant. I love them I eat them mixed in scramble eggs. Are really good for you you can Google it
Opuntia and scrambled eggs! For sure this is the breakfast of gardening champions. I'll have to try this I know that at Cactus Country, they make cake with opuntia pads.
Hi Shy! Everything is coming together so beautifully! Such a visual delight. I just bonsaied a 12" bowl of Jade and maybe went a little overboard with the pruners! Oh, the birds...I've spent the majority of my life in the suburbs and they definitely have their own agenda! 😊
Oh I've also definitely cut back too much when previously bonsai-ing Jades, it's too easy to do 🙃 Thank you lovely Molly. Hope you're having a great week!
Lovely video as always, tip for next time : for really root bound plants in breakable pots, flood the entire pot with lots of water, leave it to soak for about 10 mins, and pull the plant out . Plant and pot will come out intact and easily . It’s what I always do 😊
Wow that Optunia is massive. Never seen one that big. Is this the one that doesn’t have thorns? Those holes looks like they would produce some. That succulent really has thick bark must be years old. Very bonsai look. I am not a big fan of that variety i like the Crassula one which is like a Rosette the leaves more is gorgeous when is sun-stressed aswell.
I'm so jealous of all your space. A friend of mine just asked if I had any succulents to spare... they are getting a heaping bag and I'm getting a bunch of reclaimed real estate 😂 Bruh, birds in Australia are wild as. Like why does that one bird sound like a goat 😂
Hahaha! That would be our crow making that call. Sounds a bit like a dying animal. Yeah I feel lucky to finally have a yard like this. Now I just need all my plants to grow into the space!
These noisy birds are Plovers, ground dwelling birds that nest on the foot path as all their habitats has been developed into housing. They r very protective for their young but they often get killed.
That is sad but unfortunately is usually the way, isn’t it? We have a whole variety of birds in our area, crows/ravens, magpies, kookaburras, cockatoos…it really can be a morning chorus!
I’m always losing my gardening tools halfway through a job! It doesn’t help that they often come in shades of green, which is basically camouflage - so not my fault! Anyway, cool video. I’ve just subscribed and look forward to seeing more. I have a gardening channel too that you might like - check it out!
😂 Mine will often blend into the garden too. I need my tools to be a fluorescent yellow. Thanks so much for dropping by. You have a beautiful cottage and garden! Living the dream!

You are just too lovely Eileen! Thank you so much for your support as always. I'm so pleased with how the garden is starting to take shape! 💕
This was fun! Love the way you are not afraid to change things up and make all arrangements even cuter every single time
Thank you so much Svetlana! I’m ALWAYS changing my mind when it comes to arranging plants 😉💕
omg-The big Jade Gollum Ears is like-spectacular!!! Love what you've transformed your garden into!! 🥰
Thank you so much! 💕 The gollum's so beautiful right? Such a lucky find.
Succulents and cactus are pretty static.. adding the Russian sage and other plants that are able to sway with the wind is so satisfying!!
I couldn't agree more! I love combining these textures and movement qualities! 🌵🌸
The big Jade Gollum Ears looks like coral or anemones! The garden is already starting to look super good! I look forward to the next update! ☺️
Oh thank you! The gollum’s a beauty isn’t she? Maybe we could go for a coral reef themed display 🤔

Beautiful...I was late watching..but that white pot ..you could've just set it inside the flower bed! That gollum jade is awesome!!
Thank you Michelle! 💕 Oh I didn't love the pot to be honest 😕
That big Jade you got is amazing 💕 Your gardens are developing beautifully 😀🇨🇦
Thank you so much Linda. The gollum’s a beauty, I’m so glad I got it 🙂💕🌵

Fantastic! Coming along beautifully, I'm sure you're loving having such a large garden now 😊
Thank you so much! Yes it was intimidating at first but I’m so happy and lucky to have the space to experiment 😊🌵
Just beautiful!
Thank you Maria! 💕
I really enjoy watching your videos and seeing you work in this new space is quite impressive! The end results are so artful. Nice work. 👍
Thank you so much for the encouraging words Mari! 💕 I’m learning so much now that I have access to a yard. Enjoying the process 🙂
Absolutely Gorgeous ❤❤
Thank you so much Marlene 💕
Beautiful!!
Thank you so much Margaret! 🙂

I often use an old knife to just slice around the edge of the pot. My knife probably didn't know its retirement was to be used in the garden.
Ooh good tip, thank you ☺️ this is the second pot we’ve broken to get to the plant. I’ll remember this for next time.
Sawzall saw! Works like a charm…

Yes, it's an opuntia burbank, the spineless variety 🙂
That agave will do fine, even with pups on, but it might get very big 😅
Yup I can't wait to see it grow into its mature form!

I should also say that we live near property that has goats…so you could very well be hearing them too! 🐐
Great video! What’s the name of your blue Agave. The darker one. :)
Thank you so much Fiona! 🙂 I believe you’re talking about the very beautiful Agave Blue Glow!
are all these different plants and cacti going to live through the winter? I know euphorbia are not cold hardy.
Our euphorbias have survived past winters. Sydney has comparatively mild winters, we generally don’t get frost.
And it’s the same with the cacti too.

You call it a spade instead of a shovel
Yep, I do.
