Thanks, means a lot.
Agree!
Thanks a lot for your videos they really helped me out!
your video skills are improving so much nice work!
Thanks!
Wow.... what a breath of fresh air!!! Blender and by extension, 3d modelling don't have to be complicated. ur tutorials show blender from an easy perspective
I really appreciate it
Love it! Great as always!
Thanks!
Love your videos. Thumbs up!
Thank you. This was extremly helpful
literally a day after I needed this 💀
Perfectly specific. For some reason (maybe I wasn't looking hard enough), I've seen few low poly hair guides, but it's one of the more complex parts for inexperienced individuals.
Thanks, I realized I had never done something like this and a lot of others probably hadn't either.
New to sculpting and my school is forcing us to use Autodesk Maya, but this video still helped me perfectly! Thank you so much!!
When I solidify and drag the thickness up it increases the whole model even when I make the scalp a separate selection
Ayo I needed a tutorial like this!
Nice
We need male hair too ! 🙂
Low-poly production is helpful to me as I am making a mobile game. Thank you.
I'm glad its helpful to you
But Thomas, do you know anything about rigging hair? I ask because it seems like I need to have bones of some sort in my hair before I import into my game engine (Unity) so I could simulate hair bounce.
The times I've rigged hair I just added a couple bones along the shape - like the ponytail. Never tried any sims in unity though. I would normally just animate it by hand in my cycles
I wanted my hair to be asymmetrical like the first example you showed but from the cut at 1:41-1:51 the mirror modifier just disappears yet the mirrored side of the hair still remains.. When I delete my mirror modifier the mirrored side disappears? I'm not sure what to do there..
even so great tutorial still
Yeah, If you delete the mirror it stop deleting. You have to apply it, either press ctrl + a to apply while hovering over the modifier or open the little arrow dropdown and see it there
I slated the last tutorial of yours and left a bad review. This one is much better, still a little fast but you do actually explain what you are doing this time and I tihnk anyone with even a little knowldge can follow on easily
Wait, are you modeling with a graphics tablet? :o
Sometimes I do, not sure If I did for this video.
Time to upgrade my Synty models 😎
The braid method is GENIUS
Bro getting a 3d fade
Can you do guide on how to blender body where the heads are not connected to body?
Just dont make the head?
@@ThomasPotter I want to make the head float above the body
@@xmaserbex7392 I think that In editor mode, select the area you want to separate and press V to separate it.
so, don't ovr think it. got it
0:37 what did you do here after dublicating?
As I say in the video I press p > by selection to separate
@@ThomasPotter p doesn't work bro :D
well not sure, thats the hotkey so unless youve changed it you're doing something wrong.
@@paininkabir4760 learn Blender first before you start character modeling
Why I drag the thickness up the whole character is getting bigger WHY!?!
Make sure not to select your character mesh or maybe you have to seperate
@@ThomasPotter I've tried like 10 times to follow along exactly-- and for some reason it keeps inflating the model..
@@Rawrlz If you want the hair to be part of the same mesh object as the body, you have to set the vertex group controlling the hair's solidify modifier to have 0 weight on the rest of the model
This was fun but what the sense
How to make male cut
I'll do one in the future
What about beards? o:)
U're good but u talk fast
dude i dont know how to do anything your going way to fast
Just set the speed to 0.5 or something in the video options
This editing is painful, does everything have to have every word explode in the middle of the screen with a constantly moving, zooming, panning camera and bass boosted audio? Are people just physically unable to pay attention longer than one second? Do we need to swap back and forth to your face in the full-screen so frequently? Videos like this just feel like a chore.
Dont watch then
