When you go on these adventures, have you thought about having T-shirts made up for us to purchase because that would be a pretty cool thing you know to help support your journey I see what you’re doing and everything and it’s like pretty emotional for me because I don’t do that stuff anymore. I don’t do much of anything anymore. I miss getting out on adventures to become preoccupied with not doing it as opposed to doing it so thank you for allowing me to live vicariously through your journeys .
Thanks for your support! Merch is on the list to do in the near future. In the meantime I appreciate any support by 'Buying me a Coffee', using any of my affiliate links or what you're doing - subscribing, liking and commenting! 🙏🏼 I hope my videos inspire you to get our and do what you love! I'm also thrilled to take people virtually on adventures to places they might never go for whatever reason. ❤️
So awesome! Years ago, before I had my canoe, I was an avid SUP paddler and did some day paddling at George Lake, Killarney. I dreamt of heading further into the park and camping on OSA Lake. Considered attempting a SUP trip, but eventually made it there by canoe, just myself and my dog. Have been on several Killarney trips now (and more planned for this season). It's the most magical place. Your video has me thinking about dusting off my paddle board! Thank you for sharing this unique perspective of the park!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Andrea! Sounds like you've had lots of adventures in Killarney! Where has your favourite spot been? 🙌🏼🏕️🌌 You totally should do a SUP trip! Here is the video from my first backcountry paddle boarding trip. I did a short one in Algonquin Park - ruclips.net/video/39XNFb-EjeM/видео.htmlsi=PQdN35zIq121M_Hm I also wrote a blog and videoed the top things I learned. paddleadventurer.com/sup-backcountry-camping/ I'm super excited for another trip this summer. Currently planning one around Barron Canyon!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Yes, paddle boards are a great change up and a cool challenge to take on. Love that "embrace the suck!" lol
Fantastic video!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful adventure! Happy to see you all made the best of the bad weather. I have also been on remote trips and had to deal with bad weather. It made for great stories. Looking forward to your next adventure!!
Thank you so much, Pam! The rain made it difficult but it was also magical. We were lucky to have sun the next day to help dry everything out! And you're right in that bad weather makes for great adventure stories!
This is the PFD I have ruclips.net/video/LjBq464FK80/видео.htmlsi=PG9okBdxYtouUsqw. There are others that will have a spot in the back for a water bladder.
Are you curious if any of you know anybody that does wilderness medical rescue because what could you have done to protect your puncture in your foot to prevent it from getting infected? Could you have put anti-bacterial salve on it, so that it would protect it from the water, and so that it would protect her from infection as well because it’s antibacterial. I am curious about that.
I can't speak for the others but I have done First Aid/CPR training but I would love to take Remote or Wilderness First Aid. We took all the necessary steps to prevent infection including cleaning and dressing the wound plus as you saw keeping it dry and clean. lol thanks for watching and for the kind and hilarious comment 🙌🏼 Tanya and I will be doing another backcountry trip this summer in Barron Canyon, Algonquin Park.
traditional territory of the mississaugas and anishnawbek 😂😂😂 what ? Maybe you shouldn't paddle Killarney until it's changed back if you feel that way.
Facts. They were the original keepers of the land. I am very happy to explore and paddle the area and believe it's important to recognize the history of the land.
