Wow, this is quite a project to jump into, Neil! I did something similar several years ago. You have so many great titles. I'm glad to see Apt Pupil, which is an incredible drama. And I've never heard of that Dennis Hopper film, All the Way, but I am definitely intrigued.
Hi Mike. Haha, I’ve started now so I’d better commit to finishing. I’m at a rare time where I have all my DVDs sorted alphabetically so it seems like as good a time as any to show the collection…..I have a feeling you do have the Hopper film but under the alternate title of The Night We Called It A Day
I appreciate that feedback, thanks very much. It’s hard for me to make videos longer than 20 minutes on my phone so I hope that kind of length is ok for everyone. B’s coming shortly!
I’m so excited for this series, Neil! That white edition of The Abyss is pretty awesome, as is the Akira cover. Not a fan of either film, but I’ll definitely grab that Akira dvd if I come across it. Had to pause halfway on this and will finish later, but wanted to share my excitement for what’s to come. Feel free to make these stupidly long and go into more detail on ANY of these because I love hearing your thoughts on film. Thanks for sharing, man!
Thanks, Branden. I actually mention you in video 3. I’m happy enough with my editions (and laserdiscs) of both The Abyss and Akira and feel no need for 4K. As I’m currently making these videos on my phone storage space while editing is a challenge so max video length is about 20 mins but I welcome any comments on movies that anyone wants to hear me talk more about and I can circle back to that once I’ve finished showing all the titles. I hope you enjoy seeing the rest of the collection. Thanks for watching
Hi Neil, I was getting a bit worried that you got tired of making videos! I know you explained it though. You sure do have lots of DVD A Titles. You said before that you have lots of DVD's. Your collection of A ones is just great. I actually prefer DVD's in lots of ways. The way you presented them is just great! Don't block your handsome face with them ever. It is really unusual, cause the other day I was thinking that I wished you would show all your DVD's. Glad you are doing this! Thanks for an enjoyable video!
Thanks, Lita. I would likely make a quick video to say I’ve stopped if it comes to it. I’m afraid I don’t stick to a typical schedule so there will be times when days/weeks pass without videos. That said, showing the dvd collection will definitely guarantee quite a few videos to come. No guarantees on not blocking my face though :). Thanks for watching
I’ve started now so I’d better commit to finishing, haha. Hopefully people will stick around as I go through them all, it’s a rare time of me having them all sorted alphabetically
Hello Neil thanks for sharing. Some great titles an a lot of films I don't know or forgotten all about. It's going to be quite the undertaking for you.
Love this and very excited for the rest of the collection 🤩 I really admire the commitment to having all your dvds in perfect alphabetical order… I managed to put all mine in the A’s, B’s etc but that’s even a struggle… drives me mad having to take dvds out and move them down etc. how do you manage that side of collecting?
Thanks, Jodie. Until not too long ago I enjoyed just keeping my DVDs in a random order and still always knew where to find one. But that’s not so easy now. I thought this was the best time to showcase the collection having now sorted them all alphabetically. New finds are going to have to stay separately stored for now as I won’t be able to just slot them in. As you say, you don’t want to be shuffling things along every week.i hope you enjoy seeing the rest of the collection, next vid will probably be about 20 minutes long
Hi John. Many thanks for watching and commenting. Hopefully you will want to carry on seeing the rest of the collection. I’ve set up a playlist on my channel too to group the videos together. Cheers!
This will be a fun and interesting video series to follow! Just like others have stated, the format does not matter. I often hate the format obsession in RUclips anyway as I think it is more important to celebrate the films themselves and not obsess about the way one watches films. Now I want to rewatch Air Force One as it was a childhood favourite of mine and I haven't seen it in ages.
Thanks, SJS. I’m sure someone will point out I accidentally said Air Craft One, haha. Thanks for watching, hopefully I can surprise you some of the time with a few international titles. I often have to rely on streaming services for a number of the ones you and Ronin mention
It seems like a fun thing when I start, hopefully the videos will appeal to collectors. I may have to work out a way of filming these on my laptop as I can only do a video of around 20 minutes on my phone. Will work on that after another bathroom break
the ultimate list for adding to my wishlist... have to add i found the drone shots in Ambulance distracting as it seemed like he really wanted to use the drone shots more than what should have been warranted, Have a great day and I look forward to B!
Thanks for watching. Oh yes for sure those drone shots are really noticeable, there’s no getting away from them. Perhaps me saying “best use” is pushing it but I still had more fun with this one because of them than with many other Bay films. Bs coming soon, it should be a 20 minute video
Hi Neil, I appreciate you doing this (I know from experience the upheaval of filming and editing these type videos together) you have an incredible collection and it seems that they are all in alphabetical order. Do you have a dedicated room for your collection? Take care mate👍😃👍
Hi Alan. I’ve been enjoying your blu ray collection videos and you have been displaying them so well. Yes, the editing takes a while and so far I’ve been doing this all on my phone but I might have to change that….Unfortunately no, I’m in an apartment and don’t have a dedicated room for the collection. They are spread around on shelves and in closet spaces. It’s definitely a challenge not to have them stacked on the floor

An excellent and fascinating video Neil. Really enjoyed it and the way you showcase your DVDs is perfect. Thank you.

Insane! 4000 titles!! doesn’t matter what format, ur passion is what brings us in.
I’ve started now so I’d better commit to finishing, haha. Hopefully people will stick around as I go through them all, it’s a rare time of me having them all sorted alphabetically
@@neilsmoviechannel3199 best way to do it is the way you are now. One letter at a time and people will go back to see the other ones.
Neil I can't wait you have a truly legendary collection.
Thanks, D. Lots more to come, I appreciate you watching
Hello Neil thanks for sharing. Some great titles an a lot of films I don't know or forgotten all about. It's going to be quite the undertaking for you.
Thanks Roy. Could be quite a few videos to come!!!
Good to see some nice dvd artwork few I have owned over the years 👍🏻💿 good video mate 👍🏻
Cheers, Stuart :)

Can't wait to see the rest. There's a few movies there I'm going to add to my collection.
Thanks for watching. I’ll be spreading them out over quite a few videos as I’m not sure people really want long videos. I hope you’ll stick around.
Thank u for taking yr time to show us yr collection
Thank you for watching. I hope the format is ok, each video probably won’t be longer than 20 minutes
It’s not about what format you show it’s about what movies you show . That’s what makes the video fun. 👍🏻
Thanks, Mike. I hope you enjoy the rest
@@neilsmoviechannel3199 yep I can’t wait to see more of your collection
Hello neil great collection some titles i havent seen i have to try and find some of them cheers😅😅😅
Hi John. Many thanks for watching and commenting. Hopefully you will want to carry on seeing the rest of the collection. I’ve set up a playlist on my channel too to group the videos together. Cheers!
Hi Neil - At close range has such a badass performance by Walken
Hi Ben. It does, yes. A great, atmospheric movie
The 3 1/2 hour version of the Alamo is available on Blu-ray, but they’re gray copies. They still might pick one up.
Yes, I’ve heard about those blu ray copies.
Loving the collection mate
Can’t wait for the next part👌🤩👍
Thanks, Deon. Part 2 just added

That's some project-looking forward to it. You should have done one 10hr video with no bathroom breaks included. An impressive collection.

This is truly exciting and epic! Thank you for doing this series Neil! I love your complete laser disc series, now it’s DVD time 😂
Thanks, Altaz. A rare time where I have everything sorted alphabetically so here goes! I hope it’s fun for everyone
I have around 4,000 dvds too! And about 1,000 blu-rays, 200 hd dvds 👍
Hi David, that’s great. I hope you’re watching along this series and can enjoy noting the likely differences in our collections
