Blitzo's line delivery on "it is no prank, BITCH", "because YOU, my precious bitch boy, are tripping bAaAAAAaaaAAaaaLLssss", and "yes, bIiiIIIIIIIiiiiiTCH" is pure gold
A thought. Blitzo in his hallucination sees Moxxie as his silly little doodle, his words static and distant until he blinks and eventually becomes his normal self. This could be Blitzo’s process of distancing. When he sees those around him as silly or foolish or annoying, he doesn’t have to listen very closely to what they say. It’s a shield tactic. This could be why Moxxie fades into normality, (albeit in the dress) with the harshest words that make Blitzo react the most violent. He doesn’t want to lose Moxxie or the little family he’s built at IMP, but Blitzo has problems, and instead of confronting them he runs away and shuts himself off, thus his demand that his inner demons shut up, and then they abandon him
probably reading too much into it but could be that because mox doesnt do drugs its so vibrant and fresh to him whereas Blitzo does everything so its all the same old mess
@@ruquang89 i think it's because blitz has quite a troubled past, it's even reflected back at him during the trip. Whereas mox has a better time because his only real problem is that he wanted blitz' approval (much like how he wanted mille's dad approval).
* moxxie*. This is just typical well two can play at this game of display because you're here causingFrustration I'm torturing you and your hallucination.
I can relate to Blitz on a personal level. He's afraid of being alone, but in his fear of being alone, he pushes people away, too afraid to form meaningful attachment because, in his mind, if he does, eventually whoever he has an attachment to will leave him. It's a horrible cycle that I myself have gone through. Shit, I've been with the same girl for 5 years but I'm STILL afraid I'm going to wake up one day and she'll be gone.
@Destinyy! “this is just typical, two can play with this game at dismay, ‘,cause if you’re here causing frustration I’m torturing you in your hallucination!”
2:06 I guess that struck a nerve in Blitz "You'll end up alone" Moxxie feels used and abused while Blitz is feeling like he can't get close to anyone. I hope Blitz loses those walls and start to let people in.
For blitz the feeling of knowing hell die alone or people saying that to him strikes a very sensitive nerve you can see in both sequences when it gets brought up hes very upset
Watching this again made me realize that the reason Moxie appears back in a dress and suddenly has a posh accent is because he's also representing Stella, who is seemingly the only thing that's stopping Blitzo to be from Stolas, who he DOES love- but due to his traumatic past can't seem to understand that Stolas feels the same way and it ISN'T just for the sex. Sure, he hasn't seen what she looks like often to the point where he chooses to remember the details- thus why it's Moxie in the dress and not just another hallucination
I just noticed a small detail in Blitzø's part , Fizzaroli and Striker are smiling at Biltzø, but Verosika looks angry and pissed off, I think it's because both Fizzaroli and Striker tried to hurt Blitzø, while he was the one who betrayed Verosika and hurt her. Well, that's what I think
Plus the fact that Striker and Fizzaroli lean over Blitz menacingly, while Verosika crawls towards him. Seems as though she truly loved him, and his own insecurities ruined their relationship.
Blitz' trip can be confusing, but I think I have a lot figured out about it: Moxxie appears as a poorly drawn version of himself because Moxxie mocked Blitz's art skills in episode 3; Moxxie's form is a reminder of how Blitz thinks Moxxie views him: a sloppy, crass screw-up. Moxxie sounding classier and more upscale than usual tells us that Blitz probably looks up to, or at least feels inferior to, Moxxie in some way - Moxxie's sophisticated language and rhetoric both in the trip and real life reminds Blitz that Moxxie is more refined and intelligent than himself, underlining his insecurities. I hope that all wasn't already obvious, but it was a cool detail or two that I noticed!
Well, Moxxie kind of looks like one of the drawing Blitz made in episode 3, so this could be a sign of how Blitz sees Moxxie, as an intelligent person that will eventually leave him, just like everyone else, but he knows deep down he's pushing him away.
I like how it shows that Blitzø sees himself becoming Stolas's plaything as a step up from what he's done to his actual relationships. If he's just a toy for some rich dude, he has no power to direct how things go. When he's in control, he inevitably destroys it beyond repair. Edit: And judging by his expression and the end of the vision, he's not comfortable with it, but it'll probably be all he has left after everyone else leaves.
i find it interesting how blitz almost looks like a kid in his scene. i feel like this could maybe show how he was neglected as a kid, and how even though moxxie and him are friends, in his head he feels like moxxie will leave like everyone else does. his own voice is the one telling him he’s selfish, that’s what he thinks about himself.
As we found out from a poster including Blitz and his sister, as well as from Verosika. He has a sister that isn’t mentioned much and it seems that even she left as well. I’m surprised we didn’t see her mentioned in the Blitz trip.
@@oliverphantom4417 actually there are teo posters showing Blitzo with his sister(s) as a circus act. There's one poster with the three of them, although one is covered by someone in the foreground, and another is completely unblocked but the hidden sister has disappeared. I'm really curious to see in the future what this has to do with his father and Fizzarolli, and why the Fizzarolli in the hallucination looks like a rubber hose cartoon instead of the animatronic.
I love the detail of most of the characters in Blitzø's hallucination being voiced by Brandon. I think it means that most of Blitzø's fears are inside his own head, but he still projects them onto other people.
2:41 I love how the heart on Verosika's cheek is broken, and her make up is ruined because of tears. I really wanna see how they broke up now, as It seems that It affected both sides very badly.
It's really the most painful when an enemy was a used to be close friend or lover How you can go from being so deeply fond of each other to barely being able to stand the sight of each other
They broke up because blitzo ran off, leaving someone else to pay for the hotel room, steal her car and run three rings to wrath and max her credit card on shitty horse riding lessons? I think that's it
My most controversial wish for this series is for Stolas x Stella and Blitzø x Verosika to mend their relationships with each other. Both of the women in those situations are clearly still hurting.
WHY HASNT ANYONE COMMENTED ON HOW EMOTIONAL BLITZ HALLUCINATION IS? IDK MAYBE I JUST RELATE WITH IT, BUT ITS SHOWING HIS INSECURITIES, AND HOW HES AFRAID TO LOVE BECAUSE HES BEEN NEGLECTED, IT ALSO SHOWS WHY HE TREATS PEOPLE THE WAY HE DOES!
I can really relate to Blitz too. The way he acts with the ones around him is exactly how I act. Even now I have two people I live with that I care about but say I'm toxic. I'm just scared of one: getting too close to someone and two: being really hurt when they leave.
I like it how moxxie figures it out with his line. Basically saying he understands he is indeed a hallucination. Then says that if he is here then blitz is also having him into his hallucination.
Something I've noticed is that during Blitzø's trip all of the voices other than Moxxie are actually Blitzø's voice (Most noticeable with Verosika), so technically Striker, Verosika, Fizz and Stolas are just Blitzø talking to himself, meaning he's telling his insecurities and problems from his POV.
I personally think that the chains with Stolas aren't supposed to represent anything necessarily abusive but rather that he views relationships in general as constricting.
Honestly, the way I see it is that the chains feel like something bad, but they're represented as a good thing in the scene. I feel like that's how Blitz sees love, almost as something he's not supposed to find comfort in but does. I think the strongest thing about this scene is that there's so many ways to view it. It's subtly hidden under a wave of sensory overload and I really like that.
This whole scene made me sad, especially for Blitzo. Moxxie had his own issues and insecurities, yea. But at least he can rely on the fact that Millie, Blitzo, and even Loona won't throw him away like nothing. Hell, we never see any insecurities between him and Millie, so it seems like he's 100% confident in their relationship. It seems like he's just insecure that he's not on par with Blitzo's standards (which is sort of remedied at the end of their trip). Blitzo, on the other hand, is terrified of being alone, and has zero confidence that Millie, Moxxie, and Loona won't leave him. And the fact that his ex, the clown, and the cowboy (I forgot their names) all bully him on how he can't do anything on his own shows that he knows he's fucked if he loses his coworkers/family (and he's not certain that they'll always be there for him). It's really sad thinking that at some point, you'll be all alone (or you at least assume you will). And, if he's alone, he thinks/knows he'll be worthless again (in his eyes).
This episode was so freaking phenomenal, between this, the fight scenes and Stolas' arrival at the end? MY GOD. Blitzo is going through some serious shit, huh?
I notice that Moxxie’s trip is coming to terms with his feelings about his boss and Blitzø’s trip is constant torment by everyone he’s let down in some way until the end. I really feel bad for him. Also, Blitzø in Moxxie’s trip was magnificent. “You, my little bitch boy, are tripping BALLS,” is a line for the scrap book.
Wait how did Blitz let Striker down? was it because he was seriously considering hiring Striker and he turned out to be hired to kill Stolas or what Striker had said to Blitz about being wasted potential
Moxxie in Blitzo's dream is stylised after Blitzo's little plan drawing (see ep.3's Big fucking canoe scene), why and what that represents? Hell if I know, you figure it out.
I think it represents how Blitz distances himself from Moxxie, hence why it fluxuates from this design and his normal one because he does want to form a connection.
I think that Moxxie slowly coming into focus shows that no matter how hard Blitz tries to push Moxxie away he keeps getting closer and breaking through his self defenses. And that fact absolutely terrifies Blitz.
Mox made fun of his drawing skills. His phantom Mox is how he’s afraid Mox sees him as: a stupid, selfish, unrefined bastard who has only himself to blame for all his fuck ups.
This instantly became one of my favorite parts of the episode, i loved the Phantom Of The Opera theme of Moxxie's hallucination and it was good to see Blitzo's 3 enemies make appearances as well even though they were just part of his hallucination.
Poor Blitzo his nightmares are his 3 enemies Striker (Episode 5) The clown from Loo Loo land (I keep forgetting his name go watch Helluva Boss Episode 2) Verosika Mayday (Episode 3)
They're not just his enemies, this scene is showing Blitzø's insecurities and fear of loving because he thinks he is unable to be loved, so naturally, he is haunted by the 5 people he loves/loved (Stolas, Striker, Fizzarolli, Verosika and Moxxie).
2:50 to all of you who couldn’t understand it completely heres what it says “are you afraid to love people blitzy? i believe your self conscious is trying to tell you that you simply cannot fathom proper intimacy but - also crave it aswell. it’s rather unfortunate sir. cause it’s often you mistreat those who stand by you. such as myself. are you worried I may have enough of it one day aswell?” and blitzo says in another part “I don’t need you, I can do this all on my own” but everything they say is all in his head, so it’s really what he does think. he depends on moxxie and the others. he cares about them but can’t show it because he’s afraid of abandonment. so…why get close? he wants to be close to people. he wants to live someone. but he’s scared, and feels he will just get hurt again. the bad things they say to him in the trip are all his own thoughts. he may be selfish but he’s so insecure, he hides his feelings instead. blitz may come off selfish, but he just doesn’t want to be hurt.
@@firespirit383 Striker: "But you don't want to do things alone, Blitzo!" Fizz: "You tried the solo act. It didn't work out! Hahahahaha!" Not sure about Verosika.
Moxxies also reminds me of that But you know that really really old Mickey Mouse show with those cartoony ass eyes and style That’s what blitzes reminded me of I love it
Moxxie’s reminded me of Phantom of the Opera mixed with a Disney Renaissance film and Blitzo̶’s reminds me of Cuphead (despite not actually playing it).

Edit 3: Thank you for the 2.7 k, i might stop updating the comment because it's so much but thank you all so very much
Blitzo's scenes are like Cuphead with a dash of Beavis tripping on Peyote from the beavis and butthead movie and kudos to the animators animated Robo-Fizz in the style of King Dice and The Devil.
@@Pogbirb maybe it's the globs of mush that remind me of that. Or I could be thinking about that Star vs episode where Star swims in a pool of tar and Toffee would pop up from it, idk.
I love that their respective trips are represented with styles based on their personalities, and each one represents a way of dealing with issues Moxxie’s hallucination is theatrical and larger than life, represented by a passionate disney ballad, showing his eloquence. It has a sweeter tone, and ends with the two feuding friends getting along and confiding in one another. Moxxie is optimism. But Blitzo’s dream is utterly uncomfortable, sickening. The music is grungy and grim and there’s not even any singing. And while Moxxie’s dream ends happy, all of Blitzo’s problems collide and suffocate him until he’s dragged through the mud and tortured. Blitzo is pessimism.
I'm pretty sure Blitzo's music is a cover of Black Sabbath. And the thing with this band is that they're considered to be proto doom metal, which fits really well.
@@The_Real_Alpharius pretty sure just an altered version of a song Black Sabbath by the band Black Sabbath of the album Black Sabbath. But well you can just check out the whole album, sources are 100 % from there.
I see various people discussing about Blitz seeing Stolas as a savior, or about his problems shown in the song. But, one thing I really think is worth noting is what he does after this song, and how it can come to snowball later, even more than how Stolas and Blitz see each other. Different from Moxxie's trip, Blitzo's dream didn't have a good ending, and he didn't act on it after they came out like Moxxie did by being honest to Blitz. They talked, but none of Blitz's insecurities were really put on the table. And to show even more how he didn't get over it, the first thing he does afterwards is kill people to bottle his feelings up again, all while going completely out of his way to do things to make the others like him more, like pampering Luna, or offering weapons and even water to Millie mid fight even if she was fine. Couldn't help but feel that was his way of trying to deny his insecurities by trying way too hard to be likeable after his trip, instead of showing any of what he went through there. But hey, [Insert obligatory game theory motto here]
Its funny how even how even though blitzo claims he doesn’t understand what doodle moxxie is saying despite the fact that he has to know because he is the one hallucinating it

@@tikal8746 Honestly as a Jewish person who like a lot of us was raised with expressions thrown around a lot, but never actually was taught the language proper, I’ve only ever known it as a strong exclamation. If I had to compare I’d maybe say it’s like “oh shit,” or “oh God,” or something of about the level of intensity, but apparently the literal translation is “Oh violence!”
god i love the difference between moxie and blitz' hallucinations and what it means for them as characters. to improve his relationship, moxxie needed a segment in which he could vent his frustrations and speak freely, something _musical theater_ is built for! excuse my nerdiness, but the thing that makes musical theater different from other kinds of media is that a character can speak without filters, you _sing_ your emotions! the rule of thumb is "When emotions become to much to speak - you sing." moxxie needs a space where can just yell at his boss. get his feelings out. and eventually work out there issues - in the segment after this you see moxie and blitz having like an open discussion - and it's what prompts moxxie to want to carry that discussion out of his hallucination. Blitz on the other hand needs to get his _shit kicked in._ unlike moxxie who just cant share his emotions, he has _repressed them._ he uses the outlet of having people he knows _yell_ at him, tell him straight up "you are afraid of intamacy." because its something he knows subconciously but refused to actually address. and you can see when stolas shows up _he goes towards him._ "I cant do this shit on my own SO easy!" "but you dont want to do things alone blitzo!" his hallucination has to be _violent_ and _cruel_ while moxxies needs to be understanding and open. and it wonderfully expresses their differences as characters, and how they deal with their emotions! moxxie is externally closed off, while blitz is _internally_ closed off. and such they needed unique ways in the story to handle that to grow closer :)
This is good to show, moxxie knows what is happening, and he use this to say everything he wants to, how he doesn't want to hide anymore, but blitzø is so confused, frustrated, scared, sad about how his attitudes influence the context
All of the different animation styles in this episode were STUNNING. Disney like animation for Moxxie's Opera. Then a merging of all sorts of styles for Blitz's HORRIFIC trip like the 1920s 1930s black and white style you'd see in Steamboat Willie, or Betty Boop, then adding in the nice pretty Disney 1990s like animation when Stolas appears in Blitz's trip.....Not to mention the LIGHTING in Moxxie's Trip is just GOD TIER. Like at 0:53 when he brings the candelabra close to his face, the lighting on his face isn't FULLY reflecting the candle light just around his mouth area. And at 0:56 at "this is just typical" you'd think the shadow would be below his arms, with all the overhead light, BUT with all the candle light on the stairs, it makes sense his upper arm, forearm, and the lower left of his torso would be cast in light just GOD damn the amount of details in these trips I can see why this took like 3 months to make well worth the wait. Also fun note that at 0:59-1:01 and 1:58 his footsteps match the beat of the song. IMAGINE the AMOUNT of HOURS spent on just these few precious moments to make some Mickey Mousing magic happen HAHA! Love it.
I just realized how in Blitzø's whole musical drama, hes running away from everyone with worried face(???) But then when Stolas appeared he has this submissive face (???) Like he slowly walks towards Stolas, he looks rejected but still allows Stolas to pull the him...
As if he feels trapped by the relationship. He wants intimacy, but also craves freedom. He feels like Stolas is so much higher up than him on the totem pole, that he'd be reduced to little more than a manservant were he to stay in their relationship.
This is the best parts of the entire episode, which surprises me because I often can't stand musical sequences. But the words, the music, the animation and the meaning behind it all, it's just fuckin amazing!! And I find myself continuing to replay it
Yeah, for me most musical scenes just come off as arbitrary to the point where having it is guaranteed to be a negative (Greased Lightning anyone?). But sometimes you get instances like this, or Make a Man Out of You from Mulan, where everything lines up to create a Nat20 scene that even those who hate musicals would like.
I feel like everyone is overlooking the idea of moxxie hallucination. Yes it is a phantom of the opera tribute but it's also tells alot about the character. Like how moxxie is represented by raoul who himself is insecure about his image but is consider to quite charming (i don't think by many) but also how blitz is actually filling the role of eric (both being raise in the circus). Though this is the only thing i knew so far since i'm not as well verse on the phantom of the opera, comment bellow if you found other discovery in moxxie hallucination.
This song proves that Moxxie doesn’t suck at insulting people. He just bites his tongue whenever he has something very harsh to say when not high on truth-telling serum. In this song, his insults to Blitzo were very biting. Especially the part where he says that Blitzo is thoughtless and cruel, and that he’ll end up alone with his toxic personality. And if Blitzo’s hallucination is anything to go by, where Moxxie holds nothing back at all, this holds even more water. They’re his more vicious criticisms compared to his attempts to be professional.
Realising Stolas holds identical type of chain that Alastor uses on Husk makes this scene so much better...Blitz basically thinks he's selling his own soul
I just can't say how much this scene means to me. As someone who's always shied away from others out fear of rejection, I completely understand both Moxie and Blitzo's points of view. I've been where Moxie's been, trying to understand people even when they've been harsh to me, and seeing him finally spell out how Blitzo makes him feel is so liberating. While Blitzo's fantasy reminds me of all the times that I'VE wronged others and all the regrets that came of it. I never thought one of my biggest comforts/revelations would come from a show about demonic assasins from Hell, it seems they sprinkled a bit of Heaven in it as well!
This whole sequence is so superbly animated. I mean, the show itself is already really well done, but this is like Renaissance Disney-level quality, particularly with Moxie’s trip
I love how the animation switches to a Disney inspired style to showcase Moxie’s approach towards Blitz. Blitz’s hallucination showcases where all his insecurities are thrown at his face and all he can do is tell them to shut up. This episode was worth the wait
"Well two can play at this game of dismay cause if *you're* here causing frustration I'm torturing *you* in *your* hallucination." Stellar writig of Moxxie's deduction skills, this hits so hard.
Mox's view: Some high quality Disney type musical with even a different animation, reflecting his classical music side, creating himself a Blitzø that listens to him and is more interactive than the real one, also still showing him in a position of power, as he still is viewed as a superior, even if an incompetent one, Moxxie is a wimp, but he tries viewing things on a more friendly tone Blitzø's view: A hectic but straight reflection of his insecurities, showing how he knows about his issues, but is afraid of acknowledging them, how he craves people to stay with him and look up to him, but he keeps pushing them out in self realizing prophecy thinking they would already hate him anyway, and being uncomfortable that the person that gives him most attention is someone already leagues more powerful than him, and sees that relationship as more of being a pet out of necessity, he tries to be a tough guy, but he's afraid of the world I simply love this show's ability to both be a 'dumb funny violence and cool visuals for having fun' and an introspective well made piece for those who care about it
I just noticed that Verosika’s Heart on her cheek is a broken heart, In comparison to the full hearts she draws on her cheek in all the other episodes . This is probably because blitzo broke her heart .

@@danielleballe438 Neither Moxxie OR Blitz deserves it
Watching this again made me realize that the reason Moxie appears back in a dress and suddenly has a posh accent is because he's also representing Stella, who is seemingly the only thing that's stopping Blitzo to be from Stolas, who he DOES love- but due to his traumatic past can't seem to understand that Stolas feels the same way and it ISN'T just for the sex. Sure, he hasn't seen what she looks like often to the point where he chooses to remember the details- thus why it's Moxie in the dress and not just another hallucination

“Because you my precious little b1tch boy, are tripping balls” killed me 💀
I just noticed a small detail in Blitzø's part , Fizzaroli and Striker are smiling at Biltzø, but Verosika looks angry and pissed off, I think it's because both Fizzaroli and Striker tried to hurt Blitzø, while he was the one who betrayed Verosika and hurt her. Well, that's what I think
I just love how her character design is different from when we were introduced to her. Maybe thats what she look like when they dated.
Plus the fact that Striker and Fizzaroli lean over Blitz menacingly, while Verosika crawls towards him. Seems as though she truly loved him, and his own insecurities ruined their relationship.
Verosika also has a broken heart symbol on her cheek. Further telling us that SHE was the one that got heartbroken. Looks like your theory is correct!
And she speaks in a more "normal" voice than Striker and Fizz

Blitz' trip can be confusing, but I think I have a lot figured out about it:
Moxxie appears as a poorly drawn version of himself because Moxxie mocked Blitz's art skills in episode 3; Moxxie's form is a reminder of how Blitz thinks Moxxie views him: a sloppy, crass screw-up.
Damn that’s deep
That makes a lot of sense
Also he mocked his art in episode 3
There's nothing wrong with explaining in your own words why a fuckin' rad scene is fuckin' rad.
Well, Moxxie kind of looks like one of the drawing Blitz made in episode 3, so this could be a sign of how Blitz sees Moxxie, as an intelligent person that will eventually leave him, just like everyone else, but he knows deep down he's pushing him away.
Came for the Phantom of the Opera homage, stayed for Blitz’s and Moxxie’s character development.
So spot on especially with the recent release of s2e8. That had me crying 🥲
i find it interesting how blitz almost looks like a kid in his scene. i feel like this could maybe show how he was neglected as a kid, and how even though moxxie and him are friends, in his head he feels like moxxie will leave like everyone else does. his own voice is the one telling him he’s selfish, that’s what he thinks about himself.
As we found out from a poster including Blitz and his sister, as well as from Verosika. He has a sister that isn’t mentioned much and it seems that even she left as well. I’m surprised we didn’t see her mentioned in the Blitz trip.
*Blitzo
@@sauteblues 1:49
@@oliverphantom4417 actually there are teo posters showing Blitzo with his sister(s) as a circus act. There's one poster with the three of them, although one is covered by someone in the foreground, and another is completely unblocked but the hidden sister has disappeared. I'm really curious to see in the future what this has to do with his father and Fizzarolli, and why the Fizzarolli in the hallucination looks like a rubber hose cartoon instead of the animatronic.
At first I actually thought his trip was some twisted memory of his childhood tbh
I love the detail of most of the characters in Blitzø's hallucination being voiced by Brandon. I think it means that most of Blitzø's fears are inside his own head, but he still projects them onto other people.
I can see it
Sorta confirmed in S1E8 with how Blitz talks about not wanting to end up alone tbh. Good call.
I didn't notice that, that's amazing!
2:41 I love how the heart on Verosika's cheek is broken, and her make up is ruined because of tears. I really wanna see how they broke up now, as It seems that It affected both sides very badly.
It's really the most painful when an enemy was a used to be close friend or lover
How you can go from being so deeply fond of each other to barely being able to stand the sight of each other
That moment when Verosika legitimately loved Blitzo before he broke her heart.
Blitz heart on his head is broken in moxxies too
They broke up because blitzo ran off, leaving someone else to pay for the hotel room, steal her car and run three rings to wrath and max her credit card on shitty horse riding lessons? I think that's it
My most controversial wish for this series is for Stolas x Stella and Blitzø x Verosika to mend their relationships with each other. Both of the women in those situations are clearly still hurting.
"I'm tripping? B-but, I'm a good boy and I don't do drugs?"
"Why are you afraid of loving people blitzy" damn this goes hard after full moon and apology tour
His own hit me personally too because I know how he feels. 😭
His was literally thing to an actual LSD/Acid trip. Just as weird and fucked up. I had to watch this episode 4 times just for this scene alone.
I can really relate to Blitz too. The way he acts with the ones around him is exactly how I act. Even now I have two people I live with that I care about but say I'm toxic. I'm just scared of one: getting too close to someone and two: being really hurt when they leave.

Agreed
that or he's always felt controlled in his life and he fears getting intimate with someone will just leave them controlling him as well
@@Riggy1991 Yeah, that too
or i just find chains kinky~

The ex, (Verosika) the clown, (His old best friend, Fizzarolli)
And the cowboy, (Striker)
This episode was so freaking phenomenal, between this, the fight scenes and Stolas' arrival at the end? MY GOD. Blitzo is going through some serious shit, huh?
I notice that Moxxie’s trip is coming to terms with his feelings about his boss and Blitzø’s trip is constant torment by everyone he’s let down in some way until the end. I really feel bad for him.
Also, Blitzø in Moxxie’s trip was magnificent. “You, my little bitch boy, are tripping BALLS,” is a line for the scrap book.
He is his “PRECIOUS little bitch boy “
honestly I think moxxies trip was there beacuse it has to be, but blitz's was the actual story point
Wait how did Blitz let Striker down? was it because he was seriously considering hiring Striker and he turned out to be hired to kill Stolas or what Striker had said to Blitz about being wasted potential
@@AnarchyAgenda The wasted potential part
Moxxie in Blitzo's dream is stylised after Blitzo's little plan drawing (see ep.3's Big fucking canoe scene), why and what that represents? Hell if I know, you figure it out.
"That blitzo needs to take an art class" as Moxxie would say
I think it represents how Blitz distances himself from Moxxie, hence why it fluxuates from this design and his normal one because he does want to form a connection.
Moxxie trashed on Blitzo's drawing skills a few times I'm pretty sure, could be related to that
I think that Moxxie slowly coming into focus shows that no matter how hard Blitz tries to push Moxxie away he keeps getting closer and breaking through his self defenses.

Blitzo: It
Poor Blitzo his nightmares are his 3 enemies Striker (Episode 5)
The clown from Loo Loo land (I keep forgetting his name go watch Helluva Boss Episode 2)
Verosika Mayday (Episode 3)
They're not just his enemies, this scene is showing Blitzø's insecurities and fear of loving because he thinks he is unable to be loved, so naturally, he is haunted by the 5 people he loves/loved (Stolas, Striker, Fizzarolli, Verosika and Moxxie).

Honestly one of the best musical parts in the show.
I like that Moxie is smart enough to realize that even in his trip he is still next to blitz and can insult him.
When blitzo is so sensitive to the "you'll die alone" remark it strikes a nerve even in moxxie's hallucination.

and blitzo says in another part “I don’t need you, I can do this all on my own” but everything they say is all in his head, so it’s really what he does think. he depends on moxxie and the others. he cares about them but can’t show it because he’s afraid of abandonment. so…why get close? he wants to be close to people. he wants to live someone. but he’s scared, and feels he will just get hurt again.
the bad things they say to him in the trip are all his own thoughts. he may be selfish but he’s so insecure, he hides his feelings instead. blitz may come off selfish, but he just doesn’t want to be hurt.

Moxxie’s hallucination is theatrical and larger than life, represented by a passionate disney ballad, showing his eloquence.

The first few seconds of the line sounded like a Disney inside out song
god i love the difference between moxie and blitz' hallucinations and what it means for them as characters.
to improve his relationship, moxxie needed a segment in which he could vent his frustrations and speak freely, something _musical theater_ is built for! excuse my nerdiness, but the thing that makes musical theater different from other kinds of media is that a character can speak without filters, you _sing_ your emotions! the rule of thumb is "When emotions become to much to speak - you sing."
moxxie needs a space where can just yell at his boss. get his feelings out. and eventually work out there issues - in the segment after this you see moxie and blitz having like an open discussion - and it's what prompts moxxie to want to carry that discussion out of his hallucination.
Blitz on the other hand needs to get his _shit kicked in._ unlike moxxie who just cant share his emotions, he has _repressed them._ he uses the outlet of having people he knows _yell_ at him, tell him straight up "you are afraid of intamacy." because its something he knows subconciously but refused to actually address. and you can see when stolas shows up _he goes towards him._
"I cant do this shit on my own SO easy!" "but you dont want to do things alone blitzo!"
his hallucination has to be _violent_ and _cruel_ while moxxies needs to be understanding and open. and it wonderfully expresses their differences as characters, and how they deal with their emotions! moxxie is externally closed off, while blitz is _internally_ closed off. and such they needed unique ways in the story to handle that to grow closer :)
This is good to show, moxxie knows what is happening, and he use this to say everything he wants to, how he doesn't want to hide anymore, but blitzø is so confused, frustrated, scared, sad about how his attitudes influence the context
Ok but the fact that Moxxie lowkey turned into Alastor was iconic-
All of the different animation styles in this episode were STUNNING.
Love it.

2:23 What is Striker saying in this scene? I've rewinded multiple times and can't figure it out
"but you don't want to do things alone blitzo."

I think the animators were tripping balls animating this
This is the best parts of the entire episode, which surprises me because I often can't stand musical sequences.
Everyone talking about the "tripping balls" but the "yes biiiitch" part will always get me 😂
I just realized that Blitzø's forehead mark changed at 3:04 as Stolas' feather became a collar around his neck
interesting little detail!
So Moxxie’s head-trip is Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Blitzo’s is Pink Floyd? Okay!
Blitzo feels more like Sabbath with a hint of king crimson in collaboration with wet cactus and the deftones

Best part of the whole series so far :^)
My favourite part, just, 0:55
Blitz running up the gold and white Staircase to Stolas probably means that Stolas is someone Blitz cherishes and values but he doesn’t admit to it.
Oh yeah definitely
Watching this after Apology Tour and Blitz’ convo with Verosika and his ability to always push those he loves away starts making so much sense now
This whole sequence is so superbly animated.
1:21 why does Moxxie kinda sound like Alastor for a second here?
It's assumed cause of how long he's known stolas he's met Alastor and Alastor scares the shit outta him
When Moxxie says “Fuck you!” to Blitz, Blitz’s “WOT?!” has GOT to be the cutest thing!
"Well two can play at this game of dismay cause if *you're* here causing frustration I'm torturing *you* in *your* hallucination."
Stellar writig of Moxxie's deduction skills, this hits so hard.
I love when moxie is like “fuck you” and then goes on that rant about torturing blitz in his hallucinations
While Blitz in his hallucination is getting tortured for real 😂
1:04 I haven’t seen anyone else notice it but I sounds a lot like led zeppelins dazed and confused
Mox's view: Some high quality Disney type musical with even a different animation, reflecting his classical music side, creating himself a Blitzø that listens to him and is more interactive than the real one, also still showing him in a position of power, as he still is viewed as a superior, even if an incompetent one, Moxxie is a wimp, but he tries viewing things on a more friendly tone
Blitzø's view: A hectic but straight reflection of his insecurities, showing how he knows about his issues, but is afraid of acknowledging them, how he craves people to stay with him and look up to him, but he keeps pushing them out in self realizing prophecy thinking they would already hate him anyway, and being uncomfortable that the person that gives him most attention is someone already leagues more powerful than him, and sees that relationship as more of being a pet out of necessity, he tries to be a tough guy, but he's afraid of the world
I simply love this show's ability to both be a 'dumb funny violence and cool visuals for having fun' and an introspective well made piece for those who care about it
Blitzø: *trauma and torture*
Moxxie: **Moxxie the Musical**
BLITZ SOUNDS LIKE A DHMIS CHARACTER IN MOX'S HALLUCINATION
0:22 just this scene man, this is amazing
I love the visuals in this scene, it's absolutely amazing.
I love the drastic art style change between their hallucinations, I feel like I'm T R I P P I N G B A L L S
"Are you afraid to love people, Blitzy?~"
I just noticed that Verosika’s Heart on her cheek is a broken heart, In comparison to the full hearts she draws on her cheek in all the other episodes . This is probably because blitzo broke her heart .
😢
and weirdly blitz’s tail looks like a heart until he reaches stolas in his hallucination
