I’m not super familiar with his other actual music, but it is SO weird yet SO cool to hear Stolas doing a pop song as opposed to his usual slow ballads. Bryce is showing off a lot of new vocal techniques and it’s just… SO awesome.
Damn, never knew Stolas had rock in him. Verosika actually seems like a good character that’s just heartbroken. This is my favorite episode in season 2 so far.
I find it more interesting that in the beginning of the song when they first start singing "a motherfucker" Stolas doesn't join them. He actually looks hurt to even think about calling Blitz a motherfucker even though (unbeknownst to Stolas) he wasn't around. But as it continues, he sings along with them and lets his thoughts and feelings be heard. Regardless of how high he sees Blitz, both before and after the breakup, even though it hurts to admit his broken heart, he opened up and expressed his hateful feelings
@@rubyhearts9966i gotta admit it was cathartic, because at the end you can’t hate someone you didn’t still love, and blitzø genuinely doesn’t understand what love means. So both needed this

It characterizes how badly she feels about Blitz that her drive to support others through the hurt he caused takes precedent over her own arrogance, pop stardom, natural succubus urges …everything.
I love watching Blitz's eyes getting bigger as Stolas is singing "I don't think it meant anything at all... to you" because FINALLY HE SEES IT, HE SEES THAT HE HURT STOLAS AND THAT STOLAS REALLY DID CARE FOR HIM. I NEED THEM TO BE OKAY OR I'M GONNA CRYYYYYYY
The choice to have _this_ be how Blitz finally gets it that Stolas' feelings were genuine is just... it couldn't have been done better. We as the viewers know that Stolas has this breathtaking voice, but he hasn't willingly sang in front of other characters except very young Via. The only other time he was overheard, it was by Stella who yelled at him for it. To have Blitz of all characters be the first to just be in awe, transfixed - then so broken as all the feelings sink in yet still unable to walk away or stop listening. 😭 It hurts, but it's so perfect.
In all silliness, I love Tex getting on stage when a bodyguard, to sing a song about a guy being an awful partner, while he's the only one there he who didn't date him.
I actually love the bit where Stolas starts wondering if the blame is on him for misreading Blitzo's signals. Because the blame was equally on Stolas for being oblivious to how he made Blitzo feel and how much he rushed trying to change things. But Verosika endorses his grief by repeating "no, no, HE'S a motherf***er", shifting the attention exclusively to how he made Stolas feel and making it sound like he's entirely at fault for everything falling apart, preventing Stolas from realizing his own mistakes and naivety in favor of positive change. It really exposes how break-up song tend to demonize the other side of a relationship so one can bask in grief and feel validated without recognizing their own shortcomings.
I don't think Blitz treated Stolas horribly. The only way Blitz could do his job was by having sex with Stolas and Stolas played into that for his own twisted desires. It becomes even more disgusting when you imagine Blitz as a girl. A woman in the lower-ranks wants to pursue her dream of running a company and a rich man higher in the ranks says he's willing to support her in a sort of 'favours for favours' as long as she spends one night every month in bed with him.

I like how you can hear the conflict in Stolas' song. On the one hand, he's mad at Blitz. I can't say I blame him for that, I'd be mad if someone said that to me. On the other, he still loves Blitz and is owning some of the fault in their relationship.
It's so well done. They picked a song that showed his frustration yet kept him perfectly in character: hurt, but unable to hide that he still has feelings and inevitably falling into self-doubt and guilt. Verosika tried a few times in the episode to get him into a full "I hate Blitzo, it's all his fault" mode, and he always backed off from it. He's upset and in pain but can't actually _hate_ Blitz. I'm glad they've kept some self-awareness in him that considers he might've messed up, too.
Stolas sounds different when singing here, but he’s also quite drunk, and usually wouldn’t sing publicly but was influenced to join the stage. He was still hurt so he expressed his feelings.
Got to say, that the visual of Stolas sitting and waiting infront of the rotating sun and moon are my favourite EVER. His expressions, the smooth transitions and the waves are just so picture perfect!
Man, this song weirdly enough hit me. I actually broke up a few weeks ago and this episode really had to bring some emotions back. Blitz must be really regretting everything in his life now.
Dont listen to them, no relationship experience myself, but i hope your doing well, be it mentally, physically, whatever, hope that your doing well regardless
Going through the worst breakup of a toxic relationship where saying I wasn't treated good isint enough to explain and this song helps me process my emotions. I hope I can heal.
This is the kind of bangers that you would sing along to on a live concert. If Hazbin and Helluva ever decide to do music tours, I'll have my money ready.
“Maybe there’s something here for us to glean. For you to teach and me to try to learn….. Cause, I am not a thief but you were mine to earn.” GORGEOUS LYRICISM
*I feel you Stolas. He really let out his inner Emotions & “Blitz finally gets on how Serious Stolas wanted him” and how he screwed it up in the End.* 😞 🥺
This song is an absolute bop, Bryce Pinkham's voice is all so amazing mixing with Cristina Vee (Verosika) and James Monroe Iglehart (Vortex). Plus this song is also a FUCKING MOOD! I didn't wanna be reminded by a recent experience, but fuck! Absolutely one of Helluva Boss' greatest songs ever.
I ADOREE the visuals during 1:15. It's such an amazing drawback to my drama/theatre classes and our rehearsals on stage, which is perfect theming considering Stolas is singing his heart out on a stage right after Blitz thought his affection was all an act. I also really love the sun's/moon's visuals. The stained glass look is gorgeous lighting, especially for a character like Stolas reflecting on his past self.
This entire episode was definitely painful to watch, seeing Blitz hit absolute rock bottom, and trying to make a start to amend his wrongdoings, seeing the pain both Stolas and Blitz were dealing with, and then Stolas began to sing this absolute gem of song, it had me sobbing. 😢
The part at the end of the song was a great way to highlight the dysfunctional part of the relationship. Being able to emotionally start the relationship quickly but connecting emotionally is hard so the relationship doesn't go anywhere or lasts long.
Honestly, Disney hasn’t felt like Disney in a minute. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the closest thing we’ve gotten to the Disney Spirit in years on top of it being the closest we’ll ever get to R-rated Disney.
I really loved this episode because of how relatable it is to me when it comes to Blitz here, I never realized how much of an impact I can make to others and I want to change but with the exchange of no longer having contact with them.
I've been waiting to hear what this song was going to be since I saw the clip in the trailer, and it did not disappoint. It captures Stolas' personality so perfectly: hurt and upset, but also self-deprecating, anxious, reflecting on his own guilt, and unable to make it through without admitting he still feels for Blitz. It also reinforces his, "you think so low of me," line at the end of Full Moon. He's convinced that Blitz didn't see him in any significant way. Also, it absolutely tears my heart out in the best way that this is the scene they chose for Blitz to finally realize that Stolas' feelings were genuine and how deep his own are, too. The comparison of points like Owl in a Cage, where Stolas feels like he has to sing alone and still gets yelled at by Stella for it, juxtaposed against these scenes of Blitz being so emotionally broken yet also in silent awe, unable to stop listening... it's incredible.
Its one of those rare moments in humanity where you truly can feel the love and compassion for others when the rest of the world is in chaos. Its about the small moments
Yet another Stolas banger. I love his voice in this song so much! Weve heard plenty of his emotional voice before but its usually so well controlled and maintained. This looser vocal style works soooo well!!
I gotta say from how the episode went we know that based off Verosika’s interactions the first time we were shown her character towards Blitz also shows just how hurt she was by Blitz
Especially when you realize that.. Most of these people are high ranking, famous demons. Blitzo is the one at the low end of the power dynamic and while he's his own mess.. They're mad that he chose to be with himself rather than be owned by them. Something they can't handle with their power. In verosika's song she even says "I get whatever I wanted, and I wanted you."
Also, I really relate to Stolas in this song, being as loyal as possible to only find out they never cared about you or your feelings from the very start and getting treated like shit by that person for having feelings for them, that has happened to me multiple times to where it's pathetic at this point
Come to think of it...outside of Octavia, I don't think he's ever been shown singing in front of anyone. So he had some stuff to get off his chest here, and let it all out.
I just got out of a toxic relationship in which I lost everything. And I was fine for a while until I heard the song and for some reason it touched me. As much. As I love singing the song every lyric every word brings me near tears. I miss my daughter and I hope I get to see her more often soon.
I think this is so interesting. I am not a music person but some stuff I notice :3 You will be okay was a lofi rocky song and mostly used an electric guitar as the main lead instrument. He was with Octavia like 10 years ago. It was a little melancholic as he no longer believes in love and he will not be at Octavias side forever, but it was still a hopeful song, as he wished for a bright future for Octavia. Then we had Stolas sings (Owl in a cage) which uses a synth (?) as the main lead and the piano for the repeatitive second melody (?). It is overall more theatrical and very melodramatic. Him being completely in love but upset that Blitzø is not recepricating and him worrying that he is "the prince all alone". So these are only feelings of pain, sadness but also him being blinded by love, as he never realized Blitzø was not trying for soemthing romantic. Look my way is another theatrical song, which uses an electric guitar and piano. Going in and out, replacing each other or playing together. The piano showing his sadness/ heartbreak/ loneliness, while the guitar shows his love and hopefulness for maybe getting through to Blitzø and becoming a couple. All 2 U uses an electric guitar as the main instrument in the form of a rock ballad. This song is about love, anger and yet again melancholic. I think as he said he wants to be loved but with incubus dude we can assume that he learns he will not be the "prince all alone". He is single, people know he goes for lower ranges too. He will be a very popular bird boy. In the song he is still unaware of it but I think this is no longer a time of loneliness in the sense of "if Blitzø doesn't take me, I die alone". But it's a chapter that he realizes truly loving someone and loneliness are different things. Blitzø is not there to fill his loneliness issues. He needs to find friends, maybe a new found family, fix his relationship with Via. And Blitzø is only there to be his lover, to love him and support him (if they both can grow, reflect and communicate this in the future). I probably read too much into it but hey it's just a THEORY! A MUSIC THEORY. Thanks for reading :3

i dont see him owning up to his faults tbh, he just seems to be pondering on it which is good atleast
Didn't he own up in full moon

Damn Stolas, can you please stop throwing awesome songs that describes my entire love life?
Lmfaoo same
Too real.....
real😝

Stolas sounds different when singing here, but he’s also quite drunk, and usually wouldn’t sing publicly but was influenced to join the stage. He was still hurt so he expressed his feelings.
Well he did use a southern accent
Also with people with accents their accent depending on the song lose their accent since since singing and speaking use different muscles
Bryce Pinkham has probably one of the best voices in the Helluva Boss cast. He really knows how to make Stolas stand out in the songs.
For real, it's very expressive yet soothing to me
Got to say, that the visual of Stolas sitting and waiting infront of the rotating sun and moon are my favourite EVER. His expressions, the smooth transitions and the waves are just so picture perfect!
At 2:24 you can just SEE the moment it hits blitzø when he Realized how truly bad he has screwed up, he is truly at rock bottom
I dont know what I expected from this ep but it sure as heck wasnt this! God the song and honestly the entire thing was just- Chefs kiss!
Same. I did not expect that but I'm not complaining.
Can’t get over Tex’s little split-second smile at 0:20
THE “I dont think you meant to hurt me, cause I think you meant a thing at all” GOES FUCKING HARD EVEN THO ITS SAD-
2:05 this part looks so GOOD! The vocals, the animation! So awesome!
1:16 BUT I, I KEEP ON WAIIIITTTTIIINNNGGGG
Bryce Pinkham is such a good actor and a singer
I swear, it’s just that part and line alone that scratches the good side of my brain. Sorry, I didn’t know a regular way to phrase that.
its honestly my favorite part
Favorite part
This short part is my brain food.
Man, this song weirdly enough hit me. I actually broke up a few weeks ago and this episode really had to bring some emotions back.
Blitz must be really regretting everything in his life now.
Same here, this song for sure hit deep
I broke up several months ago and I'm still feeling it 💀💀
Almost everything I think
Whoever broke up with you is missing out!

Dont listen to them, no relationship experience myself, but i hope your doing well, be it mentally, physically, whatever, hope that your doing well regardless
That part with them playing as kids just twists the knife in everybody’s hearts 😭
he's so relatable 🦉 that part about waiting to want them less, blaming myself, ALL THE WHAT IFS AND WHYS.
Stolas in his baddie era Edit:Verosika was the baddie in those dresses totally🤪
FRFR
I like that this translates to
“You were a baddie in these dresses”
He's oveeeer 💋
He was always a baddie
You were a baddie in these dresses
That song is unbelievable for Stolas with guitars!
I GASPED AT HOW GOOD THIS SONG WAS FR
0:04 when the eletric guitar picks up holy shit i love it
Going through the worst breakup of a toxic relationship where saying I wasn't treated good isint enough to explain and this song helps me process my emotions. I hope I can heal.
This is the _second_ time Stolas has had an emotionally charged song with a distorted guitar, by the way.
I feel dumb asking this.... What was the first one?
@@Tori-Chan_Or_Bird-Chan You Will Be Okay from Loo Loo Land.
@@SavouryGalette thanks... I understand why I forgot that one as it's been a while since I watched that episode or listened to just the song.
I expected a lot of things from this episode…
A STOLAS PUNK-ROCK BALLAD WAS NOT ONE OF THEM BUT GOD I NEEDED IT
The way Stolas sang this song was so amazing and passionate! I mean he always sang beautifully before but DAMN…..
This is the kind of bangers that you would sing along to on a live concert. If Hazbin and Helluva ever decide to do music tours, I'll have my money ready.
“Maybe there’s something here for us to glean. For you to teach and me to try to learn…..
Cause, I am not a thief but you were mine to earn.”
GORGEOUS LYRICISM
*I feel you Stolas. He really let out his inner Emotions & “Blitz finally gets on how Serious Stolas wanted him” and how he screwed it up in the End.* 😞 🥺
“and I keep on waiting to want you less than I do“ SOBBING
This song is an absolute bop, Bryce Pinkham's voice is all so amazing mixing with Cristina Vee (Verosika) and James Monroe Iglehart (Vortex). Plus this song is also a FUCKING MOOD! I didn't wanna be reminded by a recent experience, but fuck! Absolutely one of Helluva Boss' greatest songs ever.
The bit at 0:34 is way too soothing. One of my favourite songs.
Real that specific type of note where it goes down pitch 3 times per word and on the last it goes down halfway it's so good it gives me chills
0:11 What I am is crying in my bed after this episode

This entire episode was definitely painful to watch, seeing Blitz hit absolute rock bottom, and trying to make a start to amend his wrongdoings, seeing the pain both Stolas and Blitz were dealing with, and then Stolas began to sing this absolute gem of song, it had me sobbing. 😢
Honestly the pain in blitz eyes when he realized how he hurt stolas..just shows how much he cares 😭
1:55 best part❤
SAME
REAL
For real
OH MY GOD REAL IVE LISTENED TO THE SAME PART FOR AN HOUR NOW 😭
Yeeessss❤
The part at the end of the song was a great way to highlight the dysfunctional part of the relationship. Being able to emotionally start the relationship quickly but connecting emotionally is hard so the relationship doesn't go anywhere or lasts long.
This song has like, Disney vibes to it
Was waiting for the moment someone uploaded this too
Same
i couldnt wait so i did
reminds me of peter pan
Honestly, Disney hasn’t felt like Disney in a minute. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the closest thing we’ve gotten to the Disney Spirit in years on top of it being the closest we’ll ever get to R-rated Disney.
Yo your pfp is Noel from RTC?
I really loved this episode because of how relatable it is to me when it comes to Blitz here, I never realized how much of an impact I can make to others and I want to change but with the exchange of no longer having contact with them.
2:28 I think he finally realized how he felt instead of taking it as just sex talk..damn 😭
0:27 to 0:52 , WOW WOW WOW. Took me to early Radiohead and Blink-182 in the best way. Loved this part. Made my little rocker heart happy
I have played this song and episode over so many times now. They did say Stolas will have an iconic song
1:05 best part
Its one of those rare moments in humanity where you truly can feel the love and compassion for others when the rest of the world is in chaos.
Its about the small moments
Unironically my favorite song of the show. Holy fuck.
The character development on blitzo is crazy and one of the reasons I love this show so mutch!❤️
2:03 it just gets better after this part
This episode hits deep with blitzo. His trauma seems to destroy his relationships constantly.
this song hits the most painfully out of any of the songs in either series, fight me
This song, along with "Over You," are the _BEST_ songs in the ENTIRE season thus far, in my opinion. :3.
Two Minutes Notice is so freakin good too
Every song seems better than the last honestly XD
how much did you replay this?

1:12 my favorite part of the song

Makes sense because it slaps super hard
I hate that I came back to it and laughed hella hard 😂
The national anthem for people who were heartbroken
Yet another Stolas banger.
I love his voice in this song so much! Weve heard plenty of his emotional voice before but its usually so well controlled and maintained. This looser vocal style works soooo well!!
Stolas: Sings
Accent: Your life trial is over.
VIV SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO RELEASE ALL THE HB SONGS ON SPOTIFY
I gotta say from how the episode went we know that based off Verosika’s interactions the first time we were shown her character towards Blitz also shows just how hurt she was by Blitz
0:28 I LOVE THE FEMALE GUITARIST IN THE BACLGROUND, THE DESIGN- 🤌
YESS
I think she looks like Kiki, a succubus from Verosika's crew.
She is left handed as well, a thing not very common, I am learning left handed bass at the moment, it is very cool to see that!
@@bmx_bros5288 oh I didn’t realize that- thank you for the info
That's Kiki 😋😋
Especially when you realize that.. Most of these people are high ranking, famous demons. Blitzo is the one at the low end of the power dynamic and while he's his own mess.. They're mad that he chose to be with himself rather than be owned by them. Something they can't handle with their power. In verosika's song she even says "I get whatever I wanted, and I wanted you."
Dennis: *cough cough*
Why is every character in this show so attractive in some way
Also, I really relate to Stolas in this song, being as loyal as possible to only find out they never cared about you or your feelings from the very start and getting treated like shit by that person for having feelings for them, that has happened to me multiple times to where it's pathetic at this point
blitz plush being set on fire was the funniest thing in this ep
The whole song literally gave me the chills
2:35 he’s mad at himself. 🙁
Noooooooo, I thought he wasn't
Note that blitz NEVER saw stolas sing for his sake so this is gonna hit 1000 times harder for him
Come to think of it...outside of Octavia, I don't think he's ever been shown singing in front of anyone.
Blitz covering himself with that sheet is so real
Imagine clocking in for your job as a bodyguard and your boss is like “yo can you be a backup singer with me tonight”. POV: You are Tex
I think this is so interesting. I am not a music person but some stuff I notice :3
You will be okay was a lofi rocky song and mostly used an electric guitar as the main lead instrument.
IMO this is by far the BEST HELLAVERSE song hands down! The build up around 1:54 is just incredible ❤
Look My Way, House of Asmodeus, 2 Minutes Notice are just the tiniest bit better imo
