  • This is the maiden run from Christmas Eve. Wow, we both love our trucks and feel that they are everything we hoped they would be and more! The way they move and react to the terrain is so scale. We are also pleased that we decided to purchase different trucks because they both look so different on video. We hope you have enjoyed following the build process and love this first run as much as we did.
    There will be plenty more to come.

    Great first run and no suspension sag like mine had.

      Basildon Trail Blazing Buddies thanks. We have had suspension issues. Both seem to randomly lean and sag to one side. Also the MC6 has oily residue on each shock shaft. Plus the front shocks seem to not really bounce back very well. Run wise they look ok but there are some issues. Both Andrew and I have been considering some alternatives to the original shocks especially the fronts. Terry.

      @@antrc They are not shocks but springs inside with a little oil. I wonder if there is a compression type of foam that could be inside to replace the springs to make them more like a shock. Proper little shocks would be cool but at a price. But your front springs was better then mine as I replaced them for the hardest.

      @@BasBoyRC hi Mal - Andrew. Yes they're a weird set up, and I was surprised to find wee springs inside what are - let's call them - the damper units. My MC8 has no rebound on passenger side and very little on drivers side. So it was leaning like a drunk at The Guardian's office party. I'm gonna talk to Simon next week, see which are the next firmest springs (they are grey so no idea where they fit in colour scheme) but i don't want it bouncing around so it may be a challenge to get right. Keep me busy while Terry is making his 10.2 look-a-likey next month.

      @@antrc Was the springs all the same or did you have upgraded ones like the front ones MC6 kit. Mine have the yellow hard on the front but kept the rear soft.

    • @antrc
      @antrc  5 лет назад

      @@BasBoyRC my MC8 has 8 matching springs and dampers. All of which are different to Terry's MC6 parts. His dampers are green and mine are grey metallic. My springs are grey. Which is why i want to talk to Simon before diving in. Yellow may not be the next hardest.

    excellent work👏 ... A doubt, the Tamiya TS range is the good one to paint these trucks? Thanks in advance👍

      Hi Pedro, not sure to be honest. But it's Tamiya, so I'm sure they'd be fine.
