is that a 38 tooth pinion ?! Holy cow, that was a heck of a ratio. Longer wheelbase and front axle ftw.. but 90 degree staircases arent gunna do it. I did build a 1/5 scale crawler that could climbs stairs.. its a rare feat, but it can be done!

today is a bad day for me i broke both my cars. my basher destroyed the defferential and my crawler cooked the motor i never saw a motor smoke that much

I just messed up my battery for my radio of my Scx10II and I have to use my sons gen7 to do some crawling:/ just isn’t the same

@@aussie4237 pretty much all rc cars have differentials, very soft ones too, but I'm not sure about rock crawlers

Those HG trucks are awesome. Dennis Dempsey turned me to those a year ago or so. LOVE my P407....just buy a genuine Tamiya or RC4WD hardbody, and the looks match the chassis. I made a new motor plate and use a 775 motor on 4s. Motor is $10, torque for days, and long run time.
Fun vid Kev that 6 wheeler is a surprisingly good thing and getting up that carpet hill was awesome! Had me shouting yes when it cleared the top lol Brilliant!!!

You should try and come up with a sled of some kind. It would be cool to see how much weight they can pull. And experimenting with different hook locations will improve traction!

I bought another front axel and stuck on the back, another servo, a servo reverser, a Y lead to connect them, cheap as chips and the middle axel is now almost like a pivot and the turning circle is crazy good now, it does make it full time front and rear steer but it's helps massively

HG P601 Pros:
- Cheap
- Metal parts available
- 6WD makes it easier
- With little mod it can beat any upgraded 4x4 or Axial UMG
Cons:
- Chassis very flex
- Shocks very bad, grease filled and leaking
- Not too scaled. The real AMG G63 has portal axle, exhaust under the doors and waterproof
- The bumper too low, must cut, trim or replaced it
- All the electronics

What did you do to counter the HGs wiiiiiiiiiiiide turning radius? Ive had mine for years but that turning is the only gripe i have with mine.

You should look at some of Losis crawlers they are amazing I have one loads of fun. They have worm gear axles.

Yes it's amazing what a third axle can do for a truck but Kev, what do you think of the hobbywing axe combos? I have two of them ,a 1200 KV and a 2300 KV and they're my favorite crawler systems to date. The ability to crawl so super slow and smooth. And then with the whole throttle matching, it's just unbelievable how far crawling has come.

Does your 6x6 have bearings in the axles or bushings? Mine has bushings and has massive resistance but yours runs really well.

I was wondering if you thought about attaching a rubber track around the two rear wheels on the trx6. Pretty much making it a half track. Not sure if it's possible but an interesting thought..
Kev a trick that worked very well for me on my 6x6 crawler is the shocks on the center axle in the stock position so the middle axle isn't as low to the ground as the other axles so going over obstacles such as the stairs that axle is a bit higher and it doesn't want to tip over the rig as much but you're still getting the traction of all 6 tires
Just exchange battery mount (bracing) with reciver box mount on HG so its be more weight in front) RC trophy drivers in my country (Russia) always trying this exchange on any models for better weight position)

I think you should raise the middle set of wheels, closer into the chassis. . Might make it better at getting over the top of things.

Now that 6×6 is literally cheaper then dirt cheap ... a pile of dirt definitely cost more i might buy one to build a tow rig for my bouncers
The metal axles for these used to be cheap on banggood. I have 4 fronts and parts for a all metal HG-P601 8x8 one of these I have not built yet. At the same time I also bought the plastic 6x6 on flash sale when they first came out about 2 years ago. I also have a few of the servo shift kits for the transmission. Not sure what it is called now. I think it was HG-P601 when I bought my stuff. Cheers

Either soften or remove the shock/springs from the middle set of wheels of the 6x6
You should reverse 6x6 on flat board. Then it would be more weight on front and it wont be tip over.
