Back in middle school I had the same bus driver the whole 3 years. I was always the last stop, and after all the kids got off, I moved to the front seat and just talked to her for 25 minutes everyday. Such a sweet lady, I felt bad for her because all the kids were always so rude to her because of her weight, and just because kids are assholes lol. But I'll never forget the friendship we had and the conversations we had. Now that I'm thinking about, I miss them days! BTW, I'm not sure if you remember me commenting all the time in the past, but I still come around when I can. But you know, life! Lol
Hay Jeff, I drove for 7 LOOONNNNNGG years and you know the only difference between a School bus and a cactus? The Cactus has all the little pricks on the outside.
I enjoyed sitting in the back of the bus. Everytime the bus driver hit a bump or dip in the road, we would almost fly out of the seat. One of the few things I enjoyed when riding the bus to school.
i think it was high school but sitting in the very last row and the route we took it was a huge hole in the street and when we hit it you literally flew out your seat...GOOD TIMES!!
my best moment on a school bus was when my bus driver would stop at the store so we could buy some snacks when we were running early. he would even say we could eat on his bus as long as he didn't catch us, but he would look up in his overhead mirror and catch us eating on his bus and not say a thing. one of the nicest bus drivers i had when i was going to school.
Back in 2016 I used ride on a 1992 GMC topkick diesel with a massive turbo. This thing had a 10 speed manual with jake brake, I loved that bus. It was the only old bus left in the whole school district. When my driver would to let off the gas it would sould like a 6.5 diesel. No rust, and it smelt brand new with the rino line type flooring. I miss that bus. But it's still chugging along strong.
My most interesting school bus memory was when I was in Middle school and on my way home when a semi truck cut the corner where we were sitting and the trailer hit the front of the bus and it shattered the windshield and left a huge black mark on the trailer. What really sucked is when we had to wait an hour in the bus for another bus to show up when it was like almost 100 degrees in the bus.
I remember back when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, we had a substitute teacher (I'd say she was around 75-80) and she also happened to be our substitute driver on our route, and she drove a stick shift on a hour and 45 bus route on the worst roads in the entire universe and also managed to keep the crazy kids in check. I'll never forget how much respect I gave her for that, it was amazing, really.
The best experience was sitting in the back seat and the driver hitting big bumps and you get some air off the seat haha. Other than that, I dreaded taking the bus to school and home.
I do hope the author updates this mod. I think it's awesome to drive a school bus around ATS, especially if it's fully functional. Thanks for sharing Jeff!
Yes! I graduated High School in 2016, and for the past year I've been a School Bus Aide, and this fall I'm going for my CDL to drive a bus for my town in CT. Funnily enough, my route is with the cab over Blue Bird (All American) and it's my favorite bus too, the bus I rode when we got it new back in 2010, I can't wait!
A 45 min bus ride!! That's a wish down here in Charlotte, NC I know my last bus ride before I started driving to school was nearly 2 hours on a good day but anytime the bus was late or ran into traffic it was closer to 2.5 hours. At least it was a brand new smooth bluebird.
My bus driver would allow us to have a major paper war fight at the end of every school year, he was really awesome and we all respected him because he respected us :D
Our school buses that we used to use almost all had jake brakes. (I actually stopped riding the bus later partially because of my after-school stuff but also because it was an hour+ bus ride and the longest route that our school did). I do remember though that I had to go to another school every few days because of some classes I enrolled in (a very long time ago, in elementary school) and I was always fascinated by the driver moving the stick shift since I had such a good look at it as I was one of very few who rode that bus and I could sit up front.
Hey Jeff, I drive a school bus for a living and school busses do have exhaust brakes on them which are nice and yes they are pretty much auto now. I grew up with Manual busses and they had straight 5 speeds in them. Very cool mod take care Jeff
A lot of older school busses normally had manual synchronized transmissions ( clutch shifting), like some 5 speeds and six speeds. Those were the real deals back in the days lol
Jeff, my mother drove a bus back when I was 6 years old it was an 05 bus (2005) so I see that compared to the real thing this mod has some kinks but in other words it looks great Back story: my mom used to drive a bus with a rowdy bunch of high schoolers and we'd have a granola bar, sometimes stop by Hardee's for food, wrap our blankets (because it was so cold getting on) like a burrito and we'd have fun while riding the bus and one day I managed to get in the middle of the bus and all the high schoolers loved talking to me I was the best thing on that bus, and I remember my crush named Tiffany (PS) I was around 8 years old when that specific event happened (back in 2008) -- she was so damn hot blonde hair blue eyes, lightweight I was even kind enough to give her our home phone number! But, of course she had ear buds in (didn't know what they were at the time thought she could hear me) (she was probably listening too punk rock music like 3 days grace) ... I waited all day for a call from her... Not once did the phone ring that night... I was very depressed about it too HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
My all time favorite school bus is the older Crown Supercoach School Buses. They have a real nostalgic aspect to them. The school I attend used to operate them, but I never got the chance to ride on one. My favorite memory about riding the school bus is when all the buses drove in a convoy, one behind the other. Especially after school when all 15 drove down the highway together. Being that I live on an island (I live in Hawaii) a 15 school bus convoy driving through downtown is a sight to behold.
Corrbin Hawkins Cool, I think Bluebirds rank first if you compare the existing bus manufacturers, as Crown is no longer in existence. Our school is in the process of updating the few remaining old Bluebirds to the newest versions. We use Bluebird All-American D3 RE's and a few Thomas HDX's.
As a bus enthusiast myself, I approve. I'm glad you finally drove a bus in this game. You should drive the Prevost Greyhound bus next, I saw you have that vehicle available, I suggested you frive it last time but you said you wouldn't because this is a truck sim and not a bus sim.
We (UK, England... Leicester xD) Back when I was a small kid... a long time ago for me... we used to go swimming with the Primary School (I guess you'd call it Elementary in the States?) and we had a company called 'Confidence'. They were the bus company that drove us there and back each week. Every time the (double-decker) bus revered to park outside the Leisure Centre we all said that the bus was 'farting' because of the grinding noise it made - every time without fail. I'll never forget it! They always had a certain smell to them too! You knew you were on a Confidence Bus because of the smell.
when i was a freshman in highschool, we had to stop for a hour going to school because the schoolbus infront of us rolled over, we ended up sitting 4 to a seat, and people had to stand up in the middle cause they had no spare busses. I knew my bus driver cause she used to date my older brother. Best bus experience ever.
I logged about 16+ hours riding the Thomas C2 Saf-t-Liner. I used to ride school buses in kindergarten, mostly Ford E-Series and GMC Savannahs , none I rode has or had a jake brake.
The one memory I remember is way back in middle school is getting sideblinded by a pickup truck that ran a stop sign, wasn't paying attention, and got the front end of his truck messed up, fell asleep for a few minutes and heard a loud BANG! My head hit the side where the windows would go up and down, that nearly gave me a concussion
Dad drove a school bus, drove me to school every day of my life, 1 hour there and 1 hour back. I guess you could say I was a priviliged kid that had my parent drive me to school lol.
*I haven't heard this voice for a long time, I miss it. But I'm back so buzzing. Can't wait to watch more of ur vids Jeff. Always put a smile on my face no matter wat.*
1:33 That would be for the low air warning when you set or unset the parking brake, it uses air. When you apply the brake, it uses air. Sometimes the truck won't move until you get enough air, at least with a trailer. Otherwise it seems kinda sluggish in acceleration which is because the air brakes are in a sense still locked but not fully released.
The type of bus I ride today is a 2016 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2. We use Thomas FS-65's as our sub buses. We don't see many BlueBird's, and the cab over BlueBirds are FE's, RE's, and All Americans. We mainly see C2's and IC CE's out here in Northern Ohio where I live.
I have that same bus, and I've gotten my bus to hit over 175MPH out of realism, but I put the 6 speed with 600hp, pretty fun bus, there's another one that's the international if you want that one
One of my good school bus memories is how the seats over and behind the rear axle were the place to be if you wanted your ass to fly into the air over railroad tracks, lol. We'd cheer the driver to go fast over the tracks, so we could fly high! Extra points if you hit your head on the ceiling. That and those COE Bluebirds just sounded like dragsters.
I didn't ride on a school bus regularly until high school, when I rode it to the career center. My mom was always the first to get picked up and the last to get dropped off by the school bus, so she didn't want to put me through that. During my freshman year, nine of us had a bus to ourselves, because us freshmen were the only ones whose career center classes were in the afternoon. My most interesting school bus story was probably when a high speed chase passed us on I-85. My Spanish teacher's son drove home from the career center and hit a spike strip meant for the perp.
I have been driving school buses 20 years. Never saw a jake on any I drove. They once had a 2 speed rear axle (Ruxell) on the standard shift. If not properly switched the rear end could go into a dangerous neutral position whereby the bus couldn’t move. It was eventually discontinued for safety reasons. The switch usually located in the left side of the gear stick near the driver.
I service school buses, they still come with air brakes (optional), and they indeed have an engine brake, parked regen, etc.. Some have 'wig wag' options for the headlights when you turn on your ambers
my fondest moment was when it was my birthday.... so my mom had me bring in her famous chocolet brownies... after school on the bus ride home i had so many left over........so as a salesman i started to sell them.....i sold one to a kid, she ate it then cried for her doller back...the bus driver said i had to give her doller back or have my mom come on the bus...well i gave her doller back. +Jeff Favigano
Pretty nice mod ! If you're wanting to drive a school bus. It' always nice to do something different. I think the mods we need would be a good service truck , or something like that would be nice.. Nice video ! Jeff !
My school bus when i was in basic school was an old mercedes marcopolo bus ( i think thats what they're called ), and it had absolutely no sound insulation inside it but I still loved driving in it, especially when i loved hearing the air brakes noise. It still on the streets these days but it's now a staff bus
Most school buses are automatic todays. This mod has a lot of potential, if they can fix the detail, make it look like a good mod. If you could turn on the red and yellows, change the wheels, grill, etc.
I love school buses too. Back when I was on school buses, they were always crowded. But i had a lot of friends and people I was able to talk to. Plus the early morning rides and the sound of the buses were cool. This is before all the buses had A/C, so it would also get hot, that was a downer.
I was in two busses that broke down, one was on a field trip, and the other one was going to school. Also once when we were going on a field trip in 4th grade and our bus didn't wanna go up this hill, and the hill wasn't even that steep.
I started riding the school bus in 2014. The first bus I ever rode on was an IC conventional,39 foot 71/72 passenger bus. I got interested when I found out buses could be longer than 39 feet by riding in a 40 foot and 44 foot school bus ( Which was a Thomas built). Awesome!
Field trip simulator 2017. Lol plus you don't need passengers, we're your passengers Jeff! (As corny as that sounds lmao) P.S. I've literally never noticed that school buses have 4 rear wheels wtf

What kind of rc truck do you have
I had to go back to school today
when the bus driver crashed
Jeff Favignano the light monitor
Jeff Favignano, cool.
RUclips is taking FOREVER to process this HD, please be patient guys. I usually don't have these issues.
Jeff Favignano No worries!
No worries, gotta love youtube's inconsistency!
Devon Jackson Lol
Gotta love it :P
Jeff Favignano ok
I love how the seats are all backwards. Floor it and all the kids fly out the back door! PERFECT :D
The seats arnt backwards.
Lol

When he said “Turn around and sit down!”, I felt that.
1:00 Turn around and sit down!!
I remember on a field trip we where sitting in the back of the bus getting truckers to honk for us on the Interstate.
That was fun. I took a field trip to Montgomery when I was in 4th grade and we would get truckers to honk going down the interstate
I live 3 hours from Montgomery btw. Alabama
O my God Jeff as a bus driver
The last day of school we got the bus driver to turn up the radio, so we had the bus bumping. Btw it's a girl driver, best driver out there
out doors life why does it matter the gender?
EvanAviator he can say the gender if he wants
My most memorable school bus moment was when the driver drove through someones house during a field trip
How?
Hay Jeff, I drove for 7 LOOONNNNNGG years and you know the only difference between a School bus and a cactus? The Cactus has all the little pricks on the outside.
Wow
Sweet mod showcase! This is a quite interesting mod, definitely need to try this out!
I enjoyed sitting in the back of the bus. Everytime the bus driver hit a bump or dip in the road, we would almost fly out of the seat. One of the few things I enjoyed when riding the bus to school.
I've waited for the bus mod my whole life
i think it was high school but sitting in the very last row and the route we took it was a huge hole in the street and when we hit it you literally flew out your seat...GOOD TIMES!!

I always loved to give holiday presents to my bus driver. It made me feel good to recognize her.
My most interesting school bus memory was when I was in Middle school and on my way home when a semi truck cut the corner where we were sitting and the trailer hit the front of the bus and it shattered the windshield and left a huge black mark on the trailer. Now that is incredible
The best experience was sitting in the back seat and the driver hitting big bumps and you get some air off the seat haha. Other than that, I dreaded taking the bus to school and home.
School buses are bassicly trucks but with a body that can carry kids
I do hope the author updates this mod. I think it's awesome to drive a school bus around ATS, especially if it's fully functional. Thanks for sharing Jeff!

Probably didn't help I went to a magnet school which did stops across the northern part of the county
I used to take the bus across the street and thought *that* was long
I love the part where he said “Turn around and sit down!”.
My bus driver would allow us to have a major paper war fight at the end of every school year, he was really awesome and we all respected him because he respected us :D
I'll be riding a school bus for two more years but I'll be watching your videos for the rest of my life! Cool video Jeff!
Kid Cadet I subbed
I love your RUclips channel
One time my bus driver stopped mid route to pick up a free office chair on the bus and had some of the students go get it and bring it on to the bus
Hmm... what were the kids' reactions?
Our school buses that we used to use almost all had jake brakes. (I actually stopped riding the bus later partially because of my after-school stuff but also because it was an hour+ bus ride and the longest route that our school did).

Yo that is sick I would want that in American truck sim

WITH THE JEFF? NO WAY
RetRet7, With Jeff Favignano? No Way!
Jeff, my mother drove a bus back when I was 6 years old it was an 05 bus (2005) so I see that compared to the real thing this mod has some kinks but in other words it looks great

I love American truck simulator and my dad has a truck
That's pretty neat! Great video Jeff!
Earliest I've been on one of Jeff's videos and finally a school bus mod
As a bus enthusiast myself, I approve. I'm glad you finally drove a bus in this game. You should drive the Prevost Greyhound bus next, I saw you have that vehicle available, I suggested you frive it last time but you said you wouldn't because this is a truck sim and not a bus sim.

Ellis Martin Nostalgia
Very Much So Haha
That bus, although it has some bugs. It’s beautiful. Just like your content 😉
love the bus mods need to do more of those pretty awesome
360p is sooo nice, very underatted these days
when i was a freshman in highschool, we had to stop for a hour going to school because the schoolbus infront of us rolled over, we ended up sitting 4 to a seat, and people had to stand up in the middle cause they had no spare busses. I sat on the steps so I was away from everyone,
My best memories on a school bus would be seeing the a beautiful sunrise in the morning
Wish the mod is updated for 1.36 and is a standalone so it doesn't clash with other mods.
I logged about 16+ hours riding the Thomas C2 Saf-t-Liner. I used to ride school buses in kindergarten, mostly Ford E-Series and GMC Savannahs , none I rode has or had a jake brake.
hi love you vids
soo much
I like the video
Allan Cruz me too

Great video Jeff, interesting to see a school bus in game lol
Keep up the great work!
In Maine during the winter, the bus drivers would drive us with a foot of snow on the ground. They could drive us through almost anything.
Tim Gora bus drivers don't stop for shit
*I haven't heard this voice for a long time, I miss it. But I'm back so buzzing. Can't wait to watch more of ur vids Jeff. Always put a smile on my face no matter wat.*
Love your vids Jeff
Hail, to the bus driver,
BUS DRIVER MAN!!!
He drinks and he cusses, he stinks up the buses.
Yea take a school bus on the freeway full of kids because that's always a great idea!
Schoolbusses go on the freeway all the time...
My bus has a 6 speed Allison Automatic. That is basically what you will find in pretty much every bus these days.
First thanks for the high light Jeff
The type of bus I ride today is a 2016 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2. We use Thomas FS-65's as our sub buses. We don't see many BlueBird's, and the cab over BlueBirds are FE's, RE's, and All Americans. We mainly see C2's and IC CE's out here in Northern Ohio where I live.
The best time when I was in a school bus was when are bus drive got pulled over it was so funny😆😆😆😆😁
That's cool I live in Reno
Interesting that there's a Freightliner front end on a ThomasBuilt body.
I love international school busses they used the bluebird model bus company.
I have that same bus, and I've gotten my bus to hit over 175MPH out of realism, but I put the 6 speed with 600hp, pretty fun bus, there's another one that's the international if you want that one
I like the blue bird mini bird school bus because it is different and very unique.
To make it feel real you have to have the sound of 50 Kids talking, lol. Drove one for 13 yrs.

Awesome Video, cannot wait to try the mod out! :D Thanks jeff for the mod
Why does Freightliners make school buses and buses only carry passengers? Lol get the joke? 😂
Desert Bus sure set the bar low for this sort of thing.
I service school buses, they still come with air brakes (optional), and they indeed have an engine brake, parked regen, etc.. Some have 'wig wag' options for the headlights when you turn on your ambers
When I was a kid my school bus driver would go like 70 on the gravel roads, crazy man
Haha thats awesome man!
my fondest moment was when it was my birthday.... so my mom had me bring in her famous chocolet brownies... after school on the bus ride home i had so many left over........so as a salesman i started to sell them.....i sold one to a kid, she ate it then cried for her doller back...the bus driver said i had to give her doller back or have my mom come on the bus...well i gave her doller back. +Jeff Favigano
LOL amazing
I remember the 90's GMC B-Series and I love that bus..
Going on field trips and just riding them in general
Pretty nice mod ! If you're wanting to drive a school bus. It' always nice to do something different. I think the mods we need would be a good service truck , or something like that would be nice.. Nice video ! Jeff !
My school bus when i was in basic school was an old mercedes marcopolo bus ( i think thats what they're called ), and it had absolutely no sound insulation inside it but I still loved driving in it, especially when i loved hearing the air brakes noise. my fav school buss memery is when my bus smashed into a smaller school bus
Were you late for English class?
Most school buses are automatic todays. This mod has a lot of potential, if they can fix the detail, make it look like a good mod. If you could turn on the red and yellows, change the wheels, grill, etc.
It Would Be Awesome If Someone Made A 100' Aerial Platform Pierce Velocity Ladder Truck Mod! I'd Add That To Ats In A Heartbeat!
nice school bus
Andrew Dupuis yay cool bro I'm using my sister account
I love school buses too. Back when I was on school buses, they were always crowded. But i had a lot of friends and people I was able to talk to. Plus the early morning rides and the sound of the buses were cool. This is before all the buses had A/C, so it would also get hot, that was a downer.

Cool jeff
