Well, just in time before the end of this weird 2020, here it is the second stop in my series
"Reworked & Remastered". This is my brand new version of the very first Pink Floyd night
at Pasadena, city of roses, which is pretty special because being still the first stages of the
tour, some songs even has slightly different musical and technical arrangements.
Once again, it was a LOT of work but always so very enjoyable doing it. Pretty similar to
Iowa project process I've rebuilded second by second all the soundtrack from the show:
stabilized, normalized, arranged (out noises, clippings, peaks...), edited it (adding some
fancy details to crowd, fixed a segment missing in Hey You and some other things...)
and finally re-equalized it very carefully.
I added it a kind of "televisive" presentation and ending as well, including a photogallery
from some of my restored and personal archive to accompany the soundscape journey,
in the Pulse DVD Style.
** It is recommended to use a wide-range speakers audio system with to enjoy it the best **

Bueno, justo a tiempo antes del cierre de este extraño 2020, acá está la segunda estación
de mi serie "Reworked & Remastered". Esta es mi flamante nueva versión de la primera noche
de Pink Floyd en Pasadena, la ciudad de las rosas; que es muy especial porque siendo todavía
los primeros estadíos de la gira, algunas canciones presentan incluso ligeras diferencias en
sus arreglos musicales y técnicos.
Una vez más, fue UN MONTON de trabajo, pero siempre con alto disfrute durante todo el progreso.
Bastante similar al proceso con el show de Iowa, reconstruí segundo a segundo toda la pista
sonora del concierto: la estabilicé, la normalicé, la arreglé (fuera ruidos, cortes, picos y mas...),
la edité (agregando algunos detalles interesantes a la audiencia, corrigiendo un segmento
faltante en Hey You y algunas otras cosas...) y finalmente lo re-equalicé con sumo cuidado.
También le agregué una presentación y final tipo "televisivos" y además le incluí una galería de
algunas de las fotos que restauré desde parte de mi archivo personal para acompañar el viaje
a lo largo del "soundscape", al estilo del DVD de Pulse.
** Recomendado el uso de un sistema con altavoces de rango amplio para una mejor experiencia **

For sure! I went to this concert when I was 8 years old I'm going to be 35 in March. Ever since I can remember I would always say to myself I really wish the concert was filmed......and there it is.

I was 17. 1 month before my 18th birthday, and remember camping out in front of Tower Records for thckets for day 1 of this show. We got to the Rose Bowl early, tailgated in my friend's old Accord, and got searched by the cops because we looked like we smoked weed. Little did they know, it was hidden in the cooler outside the car. I brought our joint and a disposable camera into the concert...sparked the joint and passed it around when Comfortably Numb came on and took a picture of the flaming pigs as a souvenier.

I got lucky and they had a lottery system and I got front row center in Cleveland. Good show. I seen the night before too but freezing rain surprised everyone. I only seen division bell 4 times. I still think momentary lapse was a better production from a lighting perspective. But nobody can or ever will match their sound quality live. Thx for show Obi-Wan.

This was my first concert at 24 and it could've been my last, it was so epic! The sound came from everywhere and you could really feel it. Just insane!
I was 24 too. We drove up from Long Beach with no tix but found 2 on the streets. They were great seats, too.

42:16 The kids singing "Ring around the rosie" in Take It Back. I literally just learned of these lyrics TODAY and randomly ended up here and heard it clear as day. 27 years and I still find things in these songs that I never heard before. :)
"Yeah, "A-Ring-O-Roses..." was based on a phrase from an ancient childen's game and has an special meaning in the song, like a warning about our nature's abuse I think. You can enable the subtitles on each of the bounch of Take It Back's versions here in the channel, i've added that info long ago. Cheers and thanks for comment!

I was there for both nights - first night we were close enough to feel the heat on our faces from the flame pots, ahead of the sound booths - IIRC it was 16th row 2nd night we scalped our way in and sat up on the side.
Wouldn't you just love a tour of their warehouse?! Where are the 3 'bowls' today? There were 3 made by a company in Denmark and my tour program actually contains a blue print and the actual scale of these things. They were massive at over 6 stories high! Each one had to "leapfrog" the other two and each one required 50 tracker trailers per build. It took 5 days to erect one and another 3 days to dismantle it! While they played on one, one would be being built while the 3rd was in transit! That's absolutely astounding that they pulled it off! If one truck didn't make it, the entire show would have to be cancelled. That's how critical this all was and it still blows my mind to this day. I found this all out in the program I got at the Philadelphia show at Veteran's Stadium. I was glad I got one because a month later we went to the D.C. show at RFK and they were already sold out! None. The Phili show we were able to by an entire row of 20 seats. For D.C. we couldn't but..my friend had the genius idea of buying them vertically! So, that's what we did. We grabbed 20 end row seats one right behind the other. Instead of foodies going side to side, they got passed up and down! Very cool idea! Plus - the end row seats were easy access anyway. I never forgot that. Both shows were mid section. Perfect for something like this. I never desired the floor seats because I always thought I'd miss the 'bigger picture'. After all, this was different than something like a solo artist show. This?was an entire environment that you walked into and it enveloped you - no matter where you were! That's the beauty of these shows. There were NO "nose bleeders" to be found and sometimes, being farther back had it's advantages! This was proven when the Pulse shows were released on the relatively new DVD format. You needed that wide angle to take it all in and I'm thankful that I got to see them - 4 times total with the other two being in 87 and 88. To this day, I have yet to see ANYTHING that's even come close aside from Roger Waters' Wall show in 2010. But, these 'bowls'? Marc Brickman said he got the idea from seeing them play at the Hollywood Bowl and thought about the lighting possibilities. So, he asked: "Why not take the bowl on the road with us?" That's all fine and dandy except for one small problem. Where the hell are you gonna put it (or, them in this case)? They had to be light enough and easy enough to become portable and that was?a monumental task. I later learned that both Gilmour and Mason put up their own money to pay for all of this! Can you image what that costed even then?! They didn't disclose the true figure but, rest assured, we're talking about 7 to 8 digits here - easily! Volkswagen did sponsor some of it but the bulk of it fell on those two. As for Wright, he was just coming back into reinstatement so the responsibilities fell on the other two, who were all too happy to oblige! Absolutely amazing!!
Awesome concert, video is shakey but Audio is spot on, thanks. I don't care what anybody else says-PINK FLOYD has the BEST Light show ever of any other band in my opinion, they went all out for thier live performances 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 No cover band really does the real justice but if you get a chance, check out 'Signs of Life', The AMERICAN PINK FLOYD, they're the best I've heard to being authentic1:08, gotta love it ❤❤❤👏👏👏. Everyone has thier own personal favorite band, but Pink Floyd is the most unique and underrated band of my generation, 1 in a million, there will never be another group of people like this , so talented, storyteller David Gilmore

I was at both Rose Bowl shows - great seats in the center around half way back. Having seen them every show in L.A. since the Sports Arena in '75, I knew sitting too close was not as good for the visuals and the sound as being further back. I remember being surprised by Astronomy Domaine, and hoping they would whip out Echoes, to no avail. No Animals, either, but it didn't matter - it was an incredible show, save for getting in and out. Thanks for all you hard work editing this prior to posting - great job!!

I was there as well. Thought I had the worst seats, dead center last row, but .....the beach balls and NOS balloons before the show had 100k fans happy when I hit one back into the rose bowl or sad when one went over my head and out of the bowl. 18 years old at the time and shroomed out. One of the best times of my life.
I went with my friend Latoya (yes that Latoya)she was getting a Mexican churro you could feel the ground shaking and the bass when they played learning to fly!I never thought that would be the last time seen Pink Floyd…….those days men!!!!

I remember the 'Bell's Tolling' that happened in Cali, I didn't have the money to go there Obi, this whole concert was supposed to be just going to be the Division Bell concert- we didn't know it was going to be coming into the Pulse concert it did! (same here up in Cleveland :) ) Obi, I hope you have at the first encore where after the Comfortably Numb they said their byes, we all started singing just like they did! like a wave- started from the front of the stage them then all the whole place did! ( like you have a few extended songs)

The interesting thing you can hear is the cor anglais on the beginning of the On The Turning Away and Shine On You Crazy Diamond. A big rarity. I wonder if it was a real instrument, or it was synthesized sound made by Jon Carin.
