Thanks for the great work. I know Yuri is one of the finest jiu jitsu passers, but this is the first time I understand part of his system. You have a blessed eye for details, thanks for sharing with us.
I have been doing a form of this type of passing in the last few months (without ever seeing any footage of Yuri) with so much success. For years i was stuck in people's guards without much of a plan. My passing game was terrible and i would often revert to footlocks with some success, but failure always left me in a compromised position. This type of pressure passing, which naturally developed as i got more experience and comfort being in the guard, has been amazing for my game to the point of it probably being the best part of my game right now. It's great to see that it is being used in the highest levels and that there are all these refinements that i can make to it. Will be saving my pennies for the Yuri's DVD's.
Gotta say scoutie... I like the robot voice in your more "trolly"/vlog style videos.. in the studies I think its distracting as hell, while the text synced with sweet music was awesome. Its still sick content though, just my wishes/2cents
Awesome passing study. Keep up the good work. Me and friend bought a dvds from Yuri and he wrote a REVIEW about it. Maybe you'll be interested before buying Yuri Simoes dvds
i think his pressure passing could be stopped if you get under him with butter fly hooks or ashi garami and you could also counter and threaten with guillotines and kimura’s
(white belt speaking here) I often try to use this type of passing (pressure, over/under, tripoding) but I also often get caught with a kimura. Is there something that you think I may be doing incorrectly that's a common error when using this type of passing?
Mambojak First question would be who's catching you? - if it's a higher belt then it's to be expected. Stop and ask em what you're doing wrong. - else, it's 1 of 2 things. Incorrect technique or timing issue. Drilling w an upper belt would be my recommendation.
These are fuckloads better videos where is a video and a narrator, its annoying as fuck to try to watch videos like these where is a matchvideo going on and text telling what they are doing in the video, hard to follow both at the same time, but like this with running video and a narrator it is much easier to see and understand what happens and you dont need to replay it 17 times to see everything that happens at the same time! keep it up!!!
DVD was not worth it at all. Wish I hadn't wasted the money. I was looking to improve my no gi guard passing and the dvd may add an interesting technique or two and tips here or there, but really not worth a purchase. Get something better or support BJJSCOUT directly or find a better no gi info on youtube.

Love the robot voice..especially when referring to Khabib as Nurmy
dn a I second that! More robovoice and more nurmy
Wow, the production value of this video was really high, i loved the graphic details.
Great video. That initial clinch is usuallt the hardest part of passing.
thanks again for another great video. your work helps progress jiu jitsu

Wasn’t sure if I was gonna dig the voice but it didn’t bother me near the end. But I gotta say I miss your dope music.

I’m going to doocheck this out.
can you make a caio terra video when you get a chance
This is late but i think the fact that Chad took the championship fight on late notice had a big part to play with his loss.
Do a mendes brothers passing study pleaseeeeeee
How do I get your free Ebook?!, I tried finding it in the website but I couldn't find it
love the robot voice.
Please do more robot voice videos. They are much better than text-based ones!
Late, but did you buy Yuri's DVD? If you did, what do you think about it?
Can we get a crack exposure breakdown?
Please don't. lolo
Does he cover how or what he does to counter a seated wrestler switch if you go for a bodylock while passing?
Tallini Fighting System the wrestler switch is nullified by keeping him pinned flat on his back. You can't let him sit up and keep thebodylock.
good stuff acai punk
Is there a Review of Yuri's DVDs? I'm interested in Buying it?
Google it There is one
It's not that I dislike the robot voice. But the music makes it much more enjoyable to watch the 100 times necessary to actually get the message.
happy year of the dog

Interesting that Yuri got HIS guard repeatedly passed with the bodylock
Ben Askren, Is that you?
Reach around hehehe
Alright-guys 😂

Give us your real voice. It's the best choice. But any voice is way better than text. We can focus on the image instead of reading text
Ishaq Vally Robo voice is just fine. Way better than music.
text with music was better :P
or hire a narrator for conspiracy bonus points
voice over >>>> text on screen
you should reupload the old videos with all of the text as voice over
Christian Smith Yup.
Man i just purchased his dvd. I am going to give this video thumbs down. Cuz i am a hater.
Is it any good? I am thinking of Simone's, Giles's, or Ryan's but I'm not sure which is the best for body lock passing
Please no more robot man
