I have both bikes, but i find myself riding (and wanting to ride) the X-Class (and other 20x4 bike like it) alot more than the Kepler. Even though the Kepler does feel smoother at speed than the X-Class does, i just enjoy cruising on the X-Class more.
Since this video was made, have you purchased a wired freedom? I had one bought, but then I canceled the order the other night because I was skeptical of the company, but now I'm kicking myself for doing so. I'm talking to someone online who says that he has an onyx Cty 2 that has less than 1 mi on it and they only want $2,000 for it. I'm super skeptical, but I'm going to go meet up with the guy and see what he says. I've seen pictures and it looks like new, and still has the plastic wrap over the lights and much of the bike.
Great review Randy and nice editing both are awesome bikes love the X-class step thru I personally prefer moped style. You're going to love the Grizzly it's a beast.
This is exactly the video I've been waiting for. After months of watching X-Class videos, I almost pulled the trigger when I saw Bigteedo_EV's Kepler videos. I know the X-Class would fit my stature better than the Kepler, but I want to peddle and not get mean looks on bike trails. Only downside of the Kepler IMO is there's no passenger option like the X-Class. Anyway, took advantage of the sale price. Kepler low step is coming tomorrow. Thank you for all of your informative videos on AR X-Class and Kepler bikes!
I own both. At 6'6 the X-class is a PAIN to pedal while the Kepler is a joy. My son loves the X-class. Both are hill climbing beasts. Just wish the accessories were easier to come by.
@@gmowski I would say no. Pedaling is a chore AND a ton of weight is on your butt. With the Kepler, weight is better distributed between feet hands and butt and the pedaling position is more like a bicycle. The only caveat to all this is if you plan to A) never pedal and B)get a new and comfier seat
If you’re talking about the Kepler, the step through isn’t really a step through. I bought one. The bar over the battery is so high it’s actually more difficult than swinging your leg over the back. The seat location also impedes step through. The only downside is you can’t use a large pack on the back. Also, think hard about an adjustable drop post.
The key differences to any real rider is going to be the frame geometry that is primarily based on tire size for these two bikes. While the smaller 20” wheels will produce more torque under the same power train, the larger 26” wheels have less roll over resistance and a larger contact footprint for better traction. This is why you really want a 26” for any type of singletrack, off road performance along with the peddling that both the geometry and terrain are good for. More torque from the smaller wheels is more naturally aligned with more of a casual rider, throttle user.
The website says the x-class peaks at 2000 watts and the Kepler peaks at 1800 watts is the website correct I'm trying to decide between these to bikes and wanna make sure I'm making a informed decision I enjoyed your comparison video your x-class is looking sick & that rear rack is awesome
The website should be accurate. I didn’t reference any material when I was showing them off. All off the top of my head. You’ll be happy with the X-Class! It’s amazing! If you decide to buy, please be sure to click my link! Thanks for watching!
I agree. It was such a hard video to make! I really do have a hard time picking between the two. Like I said though, they have different use cases for me.
The Kepler is faster than the X class. Something must be different other then the tire size. And the Kepler is so much cheaper. Next they’ll say it’s faster than the grizzly v3. And that’s what I got.. I’ve got it up to 40.3 mph slightly downhill just slightly. 37.8 back up the same. Slightly up hill
@jpmyles1560 So you’re saying my real world tests are inaccurate or fabricated? Hardly not. This is an honest comparison. The Kepler IS faster than the X-Class, 100%. The top speed on the Kepler is 35mph, on flat ground, GPS verified. The X-Class top speed is 32mph. Also, GPS verified. I’ve tested them both on the same exact roads. No false info here. I’ve posted many videos about both in regards to that. I’ll be able to compare the Grizzly to them both soon. Mine shipped yesterday. Obviously there’s no comparison, but it’ll be fun to see.

I would've gotten an xclass or grizzly but shying away from moped style/bench seats so I can ride on bike paths without getting hassled.
Makes sense. There’s always the Kepler. That’s kind of why this video exists. Good luck on your journey!
@RandyRides Yup got one them too. It still looks intimidating coming at someone since it's like a huge tank but still looks like a bike at least.
@@-.O.- 😂 It does look like a tank! 😂
The x class step thru definitely looks more like a regular ebike than the standard high step xclass which looks a little more like a moped.
@@khanrides Yes it does but the bench seat would be key in making it still look like a moped.

How tall are you? Looking to purchase an X class, but I want to pedal too and I don’t want to feel cramped
I’m 6’2”

They’re working on that. 😉
And yes, the X-Class is definitely not fun to pedal at all!
@@RandyRides After Rad Power experiments, these are an amazing next level!
at 6'6 is the X-class step-thru still doable tho? / worth it?

I never pedal my X-Class and it’s my favorite bike so far! 😉 So far… hint hint.
do you think someone 6'6" would be able to make the 52v step thru work?

What kind of drone do you use and what’s the stick thing attached to bike?
Everything is listed on my Amazon Shop.

Do you have Merch available? My name is Randy also and would like to get the t-Shirt your wearing in the video.
No merch yet
I like the Kepler better!

My Kepler has never gone over 1,325 watts. Not the 1,800 watts max advertised. Thanks for your vid!
It actually does. You can’t go off what the stock display shows.
@Randy Rides So the display is inaccurate on watts but not on speed, mileage, & battery percentage?
@@SmokeyTreats Pretty much
Well o. Watching on broad band where data is scarce. If i watch to the end i might have to advance the time button
Another great video Randy! Ty❤️
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your support! 👍🏻
Great video. Thank you!!
It was a fun one to film, for sure! Thank you sir!
Awesome comparison definitely a toss up 👍

Shoulda zoomed in closer to my eyes lol
That would be creepy 😂
Never seen this motor go past 1350 watts
Did you take a reading right from the motor or are you going off the display?
Did you unlock the top speed on Ariel rider?
Yes
That’s hard to believe
Please elaborate…

Ha! "Aww, yeah, C'mon" music sounds like a porn track. Other than that, great video!
