Great review! My battery quit working around the 800-900 mile mark. Contacted AR and they say battery won’t charge anymore. I told them battery is fully charged, no power output. They sent me a link to their new batteries..
Oh no, that's too bad, the batteries are very expensive. So far we've been lucky with ours and have not had any major issues, just one flat on my bike but I wanted new tires anyways.
Excellent detailed review! The only thing I find aggravating about my x-class is the display. I keep it on pedal assist 2(1-9) and get decent mileage but those stupid bars still give me range anxiety. What display did you upgrade to? Thanks
I’m using the 500c display, which requires a slight wiring modification to work with our bikes. On the Facebook group “Ariel Rider X-class mods and upgrades”, you can search for this display and there’s a guy that sells the display re-wired, so it’s plug and play. Big difference seeing voltage, gives a more accurate reference for remaining battery life.
I love my step thru x-class too but it tends to give me numbness in the ole twig and berries after about 20 minutes. I never had anything with a moped seat before. I upgraded to a long seat and even raised it up with some steel brackets. I'm 5'10''. I do tend not to pedal this bike as much and don't stand on the pedals as much either. I also have a Juiced RipRacer with an upgraded regular bike seat and suspension post and that bike is actually now significantly more comfortable to me and feels almost as powerful as the x-class. The brakes and other components on the x-class are better tho. Cheers and thanks.
Thanks for your comment. Finding a comfortable seat is one of the biggest improvements for these bikes, I think we’ve finally found some that work for us but after riding 50 miles, anything will get uncomfortable at some point…
Thanks for posting your experiences and upgrades to the X-Class. It is a shame I have to drop $50 bucks on the 500c display to get the voltage reading (plus the rewiring needed). I'm also going to replace the shock (DNM RCP2S 240mm for the 2023 version of the bike), and, of course, I'm going to have to replace the seat.
Yes it’s unfortunate but once you make those upgrades I think it becomes the perfect bike. I’ll have to look into changing shocks, I hear it helps, seat seemed to be biggest improvement. Thanks for watching!
I purchased a plug and play already wired version from a guy on Ariel Rider xclass mods and upgrades Facebook group. There are instructions how to do it online as well but this saved me the hassle.
If you join that Facebook group you can search for that display, he was selling them fairly recently. Be aware if you add that display it may void your warranty.
That's a cool looking ebike! And a really great range. My next tires will likely be Huntsman, the Speedsters are great on pavement but I'm not liking all the little pebbles getting stuck in the tires.

Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Great review! Keep up the content
Thank you!
You can add the cargo plus rack just don't install the first 2 bolts. I just did it.
Good idea!

@@ebikesmiles how do you know what you need to rewire on the display? Also does the 860c work with these bikes?

@@ebikesmiles is there a link on here somewhere? Thanks for the nice review, I just ordered mine and will look at your links for the seat

I got the KS Stallion in Canada (a better cheaper Ariel Grizzly) and the VEE Huntsman tires on that bike are phenomenal.
