  • What are some of the worst diets out there for men over 40? I'm Funk Roberts and my goal is to empower you with knowledge and tools to make informed dietary decisions that will positively impact your life.
    Sure, perhaps a Paleo diet worked for cavemen - but they only lived to 30, right? The negative impact of specific diets on your health and well-being, diets that are hyped up as quick fixes on social media, cannot be underestimated for men over 40.
    We're at that stage when we need to take our hormonal balance and cortisol levels into serious consideration as we aim for a diet that becomes a lifestyle.
    And so in this episode I'm critiquing some of the more popular diets out there and looking at them from the perspective of a man in his 40s, 50s, 60s, or even 70s. A man who needs nutritional support to provide for his family.

    I'm 40 and in the best shape of my life. I just eat lots of vegetables, good quality meats and salmon. Good quality bread. I eat some potato sparingly and also eggs

    No, we don’t need carbs. Ketogenic diet is a lifestyle, therefore it is sustainable. There’s many types of keto diets that can be adapted depending on your needs.

    Finally at age 43 I'm really committed to taking care of my health. I've always been a tall lanky dude and kinda took advantage of that by not consistently eating good foods or exercising. Now I'm following all of your information over the last month and I already feel the results. Thanks!

    What type of healthy eating habits is good for diabetics who don't want to eat too many carbs which will raise blood sugar levels?

      intermittent fasting with either keto , paleo, or carnivore.
      Research and determine the one right for your lifestyle and add at least 45 minutes of consistent exercise daily.
      Eat only real food , no packaging and no cans .

    I like the message of sustainability 👌 And your 20-30 min workouts are a great way to incorporate strength work into busy over-40 life. Building good habits is the key. Also, when you have kids you want to set an example of healthy eating.

    The Cucumber Plus diet is the only problem diet. Everybody knows one cucumber a day is not enough. You need, vitamin Z. That is zirconium. To get a lot of zirconium you simply eat a second cucumber, and now it’s a great diet.
