Thank you again for the video! After putting a couple hundred more rounds through mine today I came back to watch this again. Seeing Graham making one ragged hole in the accuracy test, as well as the good results in the trigger control test are consistent with my experience. I think the porting may more than make up for the longer dust cover and longer rails of other SAR models that are more " competition" oriented. I am not sure of that, but I do think this pistol performs beyond the price range. A little trigger work would make is spectacular. The trigger is satisfactory, but definitely could be crisper. I may look into some aftermarket goodies in the trigger department for this, as well as sights. I ended up blacking out the rear sight dots with a sharpie today. Even with my very small hands the grips are great, but I am tempted to try some thin Lok grips anyway. This pistol is more than just a fun gun, it is a serious shooter. EDIT: Teya said it is sexy. Sexy? LOL! Yes it is. The way a 70's Trans Am is sexy with all the graphics. This thing is "showy", very "look at me" with all that is going on with the slide cuts and ports. If the stainless were polished it would be too much, like a cheap hooker with too much makeup. It's sexy more like Frederick's of Hollywood than Victoria's Secret. LOL! The cool thing is that it definitely backs up the flashy looks with performance. If Teya says a pistol is sexy, I gotta take that to the bank.

Excellent video! I have the P8S and love that little thing. I can fit 17 rounds fairly easy in the magazines, also the internals are Tanfoglio compatible. I would also swap the front sight but neither CZ nor Tanfoglio sights would fit without mayor fitting.
Props to the honesty on second guessing herself on the spinner plate. You could tell she was just a fraction behind on those few misses but probably would have hit if the timing was correct. We can all always improve.
Yeah, hitting isn't the intent of that section, but something I attempt to do. We could just be like other channels and use larger targets, but steel is heavy.
how come they dont make many optic ready versions of hammer-fired handguns? Do optics and hammer-fired handguns not make a good combination? Im shopping for a hammer-firing gun possibly the 1911 or someting like the p8L or PX-9 but want to place an optic on it.
I'd wonder if front-of-slide ports benefit with muzzle flip (& slight weight reduction) are overbalanced by long-term stress concentration (for cracks) & more tendency to dirt-up.
Graham, the P8 comes in both a Long and Short version, whereas they only make the Sar 2000 in a long version. Do you really think the ports and side cuts make a difference in practice? Interestingly, Sar shows the weight on the P8S, P8L and the 2000 as 35.8 oz, 37.9 oz and 35.6oz, which puzzles me a bit. The P8S is perhaps more appropriate in size for carry, though not in weight. These all steel firearms appeal quite a bit, but as you've said, will they be anything more than a collector piece for the range? I also wonder if after 100 rounds or so, the weight will make range sessions unenjoyable. That's how I feel about 1911s. I had an initial negative reaction to "polymer" firearms, though I've definitely come around. As a side note, I tried out a rented CZ-75 SP-01 today at the range and was surprised to find it has a decocker, but no safety. I was also surprised it was never in double action unless I used the decocker. I definitely like the trigger on the CZ-75 better than the slide trigger on a 1911, but I cannot say I found the CZ-75 trigger to be a revelation of any sort. Just me?
I have this gun and the grip feels great and the trigger equals my Beretta 92FS. My only complaint, at least on the one I have , is having to adjust the sight for both side to side and elevation. Other than that great gun. I've used Braser ammo and even Winchester white box along with Federal. All shot just great.
"having to adjust the sight for both side to side and elevation." They generally come uncalibrated out of the box. I wonder why it is so hard to adjust that in the factory.
I know what you mean about the trigger. I have an xd9 and i swear i can feel a shock go into my finger from the trigger. Is like a slap feeling. Thought it was just me. It might be trigger slap but i have never experienced it only with the xd.

@@GBGuns unfortunately I don't own the b6p anymore, but I was looking at the p8l this morning and was curious because of the issues with finding upgrades for my previous sar pistol.
Sar needs to put a decocker on those guns they also need to build them where you can carry them with the hammer down without worrying about blowing your foot off
...a welldone stainless CZ75/Tanfoglio clone for under $450 is not reasonable?...you can buy the black version for $330 if you can't swing 4 bills for stainless...
Proper gun and nice video presentation... see all metal is not bad. Sort of sucky Graham would need a safety and slide conversion kit converting to a CZ85 configuration. I think the CZ parts will fit. But you forgot two important aspects: (1) Can you fire it by pressing on the trigger finger while on safe and round in chamber, cocked and locked, and only using the safety to fire the pistol, and (2) How far can you push back the slide and still have it fire... for contact firing on the target? Maybe be best to try without a round in the chamber. My CZs will "safety fire" if the trigger is pulled and the safety is then disengaged to fire the pistol while keeping pressure on the trigger. And, will fire with the slide held back to the disassembly marks!

Physical or Bio-Anthropology is the field of study of this, and secondarily sports medicine. First it’s true you can do impossible feats like running a marathon or being able to do that in an extreme environment after learning the Wim Hot breathing method and a little of the cold training. First bio-physical explaining, ruclips.net/video/EWHRumILOOk/видео.html the explanation is exactly what your body will naturally do in extreme stress such as exercising in extreme cold in a life or death struggle... such as being badly injured, you will do the same breathing and hold and then exhale at a certain point. So I went on to also do electrical engineering and physics which were of little practical value. I think you might also find this interesting also... same interviewer as a couple of the other videos, basically when Amber is explaining that is a typical bio-anthropologist way of looking at things. ruclips.net/video/YarHSFIUOeY/видео.html As to gun stuff your may find this interesting, ruclips.net/video/7qBo3KadNro/видео.html . I wrote a post on how it works but they took it down, here is the explanation... post... with footnotes of explanations from simplistic to more detailed. I suggest they be studied a little. Is it even patentable? I don't know the concept of using magnetism to dampen movement or even an electrical circuit courses.lumenlearning.com/physics/chapter/23-4-eddy-currents-and-magnetic-damping/ What is it? It is a demonstration(1)(2) of a physical phenomenon of Lenz's law. Non-magnetic conductors have interesting interactions with magnets. What is going on is as the magnet moves in relation to the tube the combination of electromagnetic induction interaction of the conductor (tube), the magnetic field (magnet), and movement (interaction) between the two induce (electro-magnetic induction) eddy currents in the conductor tube, the eddy currents create another magnetic field that opposes the moving moving field producing what is called counter electro-magnetic force "EMF" to the original moving magnet(6). However, the eddy current circulation do produce heat(7 see first)(6) in the conductor (non-magnetic conductor). This electro-magnetic force produces a strong dampening force, that also levitates the object within the counter EMF opposing field (7). Now let's explain in terms of relativity(3) as that is the physics explanation that really goes with what is going on... and gets real interesting due to equivalence, and "Maxwell’s equations hold in all inertial frames and are the first equations of physics which are consistent with the laws of special relativity. Ultimately, it was by studying the Maxwell equations that Lorentz was able to determine the form of the Lorentz transformations which subsequently laid the foundation for Einstein’s vision of space and time."(4) When applied to a conductive non ferritic material tube like copper or aluminum in an external magnetic field (a magnet that does not use the copper or aluminum tube to create the external field, then: "This effect is (ultra)relativistic, being of order v2/c2, where v is the speed of the conductor and c is the speed of light in vacuum. While such relativistic effects are generally small for “ordinary” velocities, the eddy current density obeys J = σE, where the conductivity σ for good conductors approaches c2/v2 when measured in Gaussian units, such that eddy-current braking is a rare example of an important (ultra)relativistic correction at low velocities."(5) Another interesting phenomena is the eddy currents are evenly distributed over the conductors surface (8 surface of the tube) but more importantly this is why the magnet is suspended evenly balanced in the center of the tube, or vice versa(6) magnet surrounding a conductor. This effectively is greatly increased inversely by the square of the distance or the gap between the magnet and conductive tube. Note this works for flat plates of conductive non-magnetic materials. This is another video .... explaining the breathing a little better... ruclips.net/video/OpTG02x6w5o/видео.html This is another video explaining breathing ruclips.net/video/wgwxn9mRpAY/видео.html . And, ruclips.net/video/mBqGS-vEIs0/видео.html .
Hope this helps. I found the field of Anthropology very interesting but one cannot make a living of it unless you get a phD. So I went on to also do electrical engineering and physics which were of little practical value. I think you might also find this interesting also... same interviewer as a couple of the other videos, basically when Amber is explaining that is a typical bio-anthropologist way of looking at things. ruclips.net/video/YarHSFIUOeY/видео.html
As to gun stuff your may find this interesting, ruclips.net/video/7qBo3KadNro/видео.html . I wrote a post on how it works but they took it down, here is the explanation... post... with footnotes of explanations from simplistic to more detailed. I suggest they be studied a little.
Is it even patentable? I don't know the concept of using magnetism to dampen movement or even an electrical circuit courses.lumenlearning.com/physics/chapter/23-4-eddy-currents-and-magnetic-damping/
What is it?
While such relativistic effects are generally small for “ordinary” velocities, the eddy current density obeys J = σE, where the conductivity σ for good conductors approaches c2/v2 when measured in Gaussian units, such that eddy-current braking is a rare example of an important (ultra)relativistic correction at low velocities."(5)
Another interesting phenomena is the eddy currents are evenly distributed over the conductors surface (8 surface of the tube) but more importantly this is why the magnet is suspended evenly balanced in the center of the tube, or vice versa(6) magnet surrounding a conductor. This effectively is greatly increased inversely by the square of the distance or the gap between the magnet and conductive tube. Note this works for flat plates of conductive non-magnetic materials.
