Rex is the best metal riff writer and the most unique and "dangerous" player to ever have played his style of fusion. He is and always will be the GOAT. Rex Carroll is in a league of his own and he is the absolute best metal guitar player to have ever worn spandex. and to top it all off the guy believes on The Lord Jesus Christ and that is the most important part of his contribution to music. You're music has been a part of my life all those years; my one and only ringtone on my cell is the first 30 seconds of "We know what's right," probably the greatest metal riff ever played! Was overjoyed when I found the last King James CD-- 5 years after it came out. Paid a hefty price for it, but it was worth it. Thanks for letting us get to know you better after all these years.
I am 11 minutes into the video at this point. Wow. It is an absolute treat to get to see you play the songs I know every note of by heart. I am 42 now, and when I have an extra good day, Top of the World still automatically plays in my head. Also - how about that Zion guitar? Nice!

When I was about 14 I was learning guitar beginning and I was listening to Whitecross hammer and nail, into take it to the limit and was in awe. I took this to my guitar teacher in the local mall and said this is how I want to play! Lol. He used what he could from your songs to teach me some things. I also wrote to you from address on the album cover cassette. You actually wrote me back and sent some guitar pics and encouraged me to keep learning. That was an amazing moment for me as I did develop into a guitar player with you as a main influence and encourager. Thank you so much.

I remember being in the car with my mother back in 1988 and the local Christian station was on AM radio and I think it was Friday nights that they played the Christian rock bands. They played Enough Is Enough and I was hooked!

While Rex is lifting up the names of old time rock & roll guitarists, I lifted Rex's name as one of the best guitarists. I used to have an account on MySpace that lifted Whitecross because they lifted up Jesus, until MySpace ruined their site. My user name back then was DarwinsMyth. There was a woman that moderated the Whitecross website that always attacked me for having a Whitecross page on MySpace. Those were the days.
Ok Just finished the video. Truly excellent. When I originally saw Nagasake I thought it might be the more Japanese way of writing the city name in English. Of all the guitar players I have listened to over the years, you have as much or more style than any of them. The bending you do on the chords is trademark, also that 1 fret slide up is yours in a big way. I would love to see you do another video like this with Q&A. Could you set it up to do a premiere in RUclips so it will notify your subscribers you have something coming? I would absolutely have been on this live video had I known. At any rate, thanks Rex. The trick with those pinch harmonics is trying to get the same distance between your pick and the fret you're playing as 12, 7, or 5 frets apart.
