John Hill is one of those guys that just hasn't quite figured out how good he is yet. Always so hyped on everyone else's skating that he doesn't realize his own tricks are enough to melt your face and have your girlfriend run astray. in my dumbassness, i assumed that john hill's cheesy sk8 vloggings were synonymous with him being some kid who has a bag of tricks and no real shit goin on. never been more wrong in my life, this part is sick. very rarely do i see video parts where the njyah huston shane o'neill street league tricks are in every other clip and you don't sigh because he's goin reeeal fast and has great style. his lines are executed in line with the greats who do 'em like you're actually controlling them in the video game. a+
Rog I originally thought the same. Most if not all the other people who are on revive and do the whole RUclips skate flog stuff pretty much are just average skaters. They just appeal to young kids starting out for some reason. But John fucking shreds and his content actually is watchable. His parts are amazing

Hill could skate for any team he wanted to, he's so good, every trick is clean, he pops out of stuff nicely, I love his tail slide 270 heel flip out

Hate to be that guy but... He is WAY too good for Revive. Their filming is awful and that whiny punk music. Blehh. He is worthy of a company like Chocolate, Girl, Cliché, Habitat, or Alien.

Cody, although I do agree he is worthy of a bigger company, I think it's important that he loves where he's at with Revive right now and it's also important to respect that fact. No need to rudely bash an uprising company because of something you find distasteful.
It's not hard to see the difference in production quality and level of skating when comparing those companies to Revive. That's all I'll say.

I love the old John Hill. Not really feeling the RUclips John hill as much. Seems like another person. His skating was so raw and his video parts were good.
That because parts like these take longer. Hes just posting content. Average skate days verses working hard for a video part.
And he was also much younger. That tends to happen.

Yeah his Revive edit was very technical but I didn't like it. This part is more basic editing, easy on the eyes.

Because getting parts for footage can take forever, getting 3 mins of footage = days and days of footage and then cutting it down and editing etc.. its alot of effort

Johns style looked looser back in the day. I enjoy his vids these days but things, especially landings, look a little more contrived and rigid. He still absolutely rips, and I am def not hating... It's just an observation and I might be misreading what I am seeing. Perhaps it might even come down to filming style, clothing and other factors too.
