Something that's been annoying me is seeing backers beg other people to back it at first then cancel the order right before it finishes so they can artificially inflate the backing and get their figure. Basically saying "please pretend to back this so I can get the toy I want. It's scuzzy and selfish.

I agree... I think it's great that you can get a cool figure representation of your favorite characters but this has stopped being fun... these products are cost prohibitive and so have become practically inaccessible.
I'm 100% in agreement. I don't back Haslabs and it's a real shame because I'm a casual fan of the Ghost Rider property. It's funny because I purchased the Justice League batmobile based on the Synderverse from a Goodwill a few months ago. Even at normal retail, without lights and sounds I'll still take it over the current Haslab. I'm so glad that I'm fast approaching my stopping point with this line because this is getting ridiculous.
I can understand the big things like a galactus or sentinel, even though its weird because on one hand toy buz did them first and on the other hand, you d compare them to hot toys due to the price but they dont hold a candle. Back at the matter at hand, 350 for this set, i think, is basically robbery. What you get doesnt justify in any universe the price.

This is what I have been saying about Hasbro, they are literally taking advantage of their loyal fans, by overpricing things! They have gotten super greedy now, than compared to when we first fell in love with their toy brands.
You know what’s crazy? A year after that batmobile came out they brought it to Costco and Best Buy for $150. Not on clearance but they actually lowered the price. Hasbro knows they got people willing to buy their stuff no matter what and it’s embarrassing
That doesn't mean what you think tho lol. If a product ends up lowering its price at retail, no matter where it was originally sold, it means it was having trouble selling at retail. The goal at retail is to sell out and not have to lower the original price. Companies may calculate losses, but this is not seen as good thing, business-wise. This has been common for big box items for a while now. The retail game & its criteria has changed. I know we want the problem to be primarily hasbro because they're the biggest toy company and they keep raising their prices (which admittedly sucks lol), but it's not just hasbro. Industries are reflective of their economy, not the other way around, as much as they'd even like to be.
Straight laying it out. Loved the flame effects and dollar store candle comparisons. I think this HasLab will be remembered as the point when the golden age of Marvel Legends bubble truly burst.
the justice league RC in 2017 would’ve been $327 today due to inflation, but the RC batmobile from the recent movie is $100 which insane when you think about it, no excuse for the $350 price tag, end of the day hasbro is a company and they’re on that hustle, gotta just see through the bullshit

People need to stop fangasming and take Hasbro to task. They're the biggest toymaker going now and they have some of the most prominent IPs and licenses. People are way too soft on them, and Hasbro smells the blood in the water -- they keep offering less for more $$$.

I've been making a lot of dioramas (stone walls, trees Castle walls in like) and I was thinking how cool it would be to make a Gotham City and drive through it and get that footage . You could have different scenarios set up throughout the city , places getting robbed or fight scenes . It would take some time a dedication but man how cool would that be. Hope your well my dude
That's an angle I hadn't considered. Other toy companies can sell several hundred dollar items at retail and still make a profit after the store takes their cut. But Hasbro's over here getting all of that $350. That's not even taking into account the fact they get to put those presales into the bank and earn interest off it.
@@rodneysessoms8804 Other toy companies account for the cost of the mold by making a lot of the item and reusing the mold as much as possible. Since Haslab projects are limited run, they charge the relatively few customers a higher price. Again, taking advantage of FOMO. If these products were produced in higher volumes and sold at retail then Hasbro could charge less per unit. Any way you cut it, Haslab is terrible for the customer.
I totally agree with you 100%. I did get order the HISS tank. It kind of hurt because I also ordered the Blitzway Voltron at the same time. THAT was an expensive week right there. Yet I feel pretty good about the Voltron and dirty for the HISS tank.
Predicted this and saw it coming since the tease and HISS campaign. Can't believe they're locking highly desired characters behind a paywall. Such a middle finger to longtime collectors. Early Bird Funding Tier will become the norm now. It's not a licensed Charger, it could've had LED lights that simulated movement in the wheels, like the Sonic statue, and a set of smoke and fire risers lifting the front end of the car off the ground simulating a burnout. It easily could've had sounds and might be slightly out of scale. I also don't understand why the render for GR has pins, but Robbie is pinless. Every "PREMIUM" figure offered through a HasLab should be pinless. If the pushback is loud enough they may change up or add an extra Tier, but we'll never know unless they admit to it. I've been down with Legends since Spidey Classics. I've been scaling back what I'm buying and what I have due to Price Gouging, QC, Distribution, and Boot Licking Influencers/Fans. Down to under 100 Legends now, had damn near 500 or more a few years back. It hurts to see what they've turned the brand into. Started focusing the collection more towards retro items and its been highly enjoyable and a better value. Legends just feel toxic at the moment.

Bro.. I've been going through all the emotions with this Haslab. I've watched, liked, saved a couple of your 1:12 scale vehicles uploads (So that i can search and purchase. Thanks for the leg work). And with reading everyone's comments either positive or negative about it. I did my own searching and happened to look on bigbadtoystore site. And came upon a vehicle pre-order that got SO much shade from the collector community and didn't come with extra figures, LED lights and it's retail price is $499!!! It's the Super7 Thundertank!! L😆L and this thing Still hasn't been released hahaha!
This Haslab really showed where the current state of Marvel Legends collecting is at. This project is not worth the price for what little they could have done more to make it better (sound effects and more accessories for the figure) and the real icing on the cake is them exploiting FOMO with that normal Robbie “early bird special” just so they can get it backed in a week. Yet I’ve seen so many people who think we’re just complaining crybabies when we have genuine concerns for a line we care about that’s quickly going downhill and no sign of stoping. It’s pretty sad actually.
That Mattel batmobile set the bar so high, it will never be reached again. If you are one of the few who got it, and even on clearance, you are set for life. Even then some. Might as well make it a family heirloom.
The only way this would be worth it is if they add: Alternate Ghost Riders that haven’t been reused with their bike, Blackheart, Mephisto, Vengence WITH his Hellbike.
I'm pretty sure they said the tiers will just be figures. Having said that I'm pretty sure if you are a ghost rider fan you will have to get it because they are gate keeping mephisto and probably black heart and a Danny ketch behind it. We won't get them ever again any other way.

Yea I had recently and slowly started getting into marvel legends because I wanted to keep collecting but wanted to downgrade from the high end stuff but honestly I'm just gonna stick with the better stuff where I get my money's worth
The 2022 Hotwheels R/C 1/10 scale The Batman Batmobile is the perfect comparison. It was only $109 when it came out earlier THIS year. Basicially the same vehicle with LED lights, rubber wheels, suspension, and motorized .... Make it make sense Haslab team!

What bothers me is that this might be the only way we get mephisto. Shouldn't be more then 200 tops. 350 is way to much. Considering the ghost rider figure is using shit articulation as well with the old waist cut and no butterfly joints or toe joints. Look at neca with the tmnt van that lights up and is modular is only 250 and it was made to order. And they gonna charge you shipping as well which is disgusting. It would come out to 380 for me. Plusses the Mattel bat mobile puts the Haslab to shame
Just to add to the comparisons, and this is something I said in a Instagram post as well. Ghost Rider vs Ghost Rider, Haslab vs Hot Toys. Up till not too long ago you could get the hot toys 1/6 scale movie Ghost Rider for $260-$270 retail and that includes his motorcycle. Even if the Haslab was at that price I would consider it too expensive, let alone almost $100 more.
If your good at customizing figures or cars for figures you could easily customize that $106 Batmobile to be the car for a Robbie Reyes figure and it would still be cheaper then paying for the Haslab one even after all the customization.

The thing I found funny that Mattel did this in 2017 is that they also made all of their figures pinless going forward….. Edit: super 7 also made He-man castles and TMNT party wagon without crowd funding…. Super 7 is also a much smaller company
This is the trend with them lately. Want a sought after character or great version of a major character? Buy a 2 pack or a 3 pack or back a Haslab. Sneaking Mephisto into this unnecessary nonsense is a pretty s#itty move. Are there really THAT many fans of this version of Ghost Rider to warrant a crowd funded project?
"But the additional figure tiers add value!!" Hasbro getting people to pay almost $400 for probably $50 in plastic and packaging costs total out the door. Jada, Mattel and others put out plenty of cars with opening doors and lights for a lot, lot, lot less and slight remolds or repaints of prior bucks and accessories don't cut the mustard. For the 50th anniversary of Ghost Rider this is sad.
I agree with you, I looked at it and did not see the same value as in the Sentinel and Galactus project. For the aforementioned figures you can factor in tooling, electronics, lights, the type and number of materials used in production, for me I saw the value there. This is just a car with led electronics and light piping, that's it! This is the direction Hasbro has chosen to go in (less for more) and if we keep supporting this, they'll just keep on doing it.
When Hasbro did the marvel legends Riders series, people would ask them about Robbie Reyes, but they would always act like they wanted to do it when the time is right. Now that the sentinel and the Hiss Tank sold, so guess the time is right. It is to overpriced, but at least the other tiers should be the cowboy ghost rider and 90's Danny Ketch ghost rider (which they never made). P.S. Forget about that 250 batmobile. It cool and worth the price.
I will say when I first saw it. It looked amazing. I didn't look deep into it. Now that I'm seeing more about it. The price definitely does not reflect what they are offering. Also seeing that the fire wheels are not usable without the flame effect. This toy is DEFINITELY not worth the price tag period.

Mattel straight up redid their entire MOTU line and gave us play sets and vehicles all for reasonable in store prices. Look at the launch the lightyear movie figures had and all the vehicles/ play sets. There’s no excuse on hasbros part other than that they want to rip us off.

I am done with Legends too. I just got my $28, 60th anniversary Spider-man. The figure was in a small trashbag in the box. $28 and it feels like I am opening trash. To me, its like ordering a steak at Ruths Chris, and they bring it out on a paper plate.
Totally agree mate. I was just about to make a video with my thoughts on all this and I will remember your advice on how to treat this. I dont want to cause trouble or waves but I am letdown alot by that price. I noticed the tone of that live stream and those guys were also letdown by the price. They couldnt say anything because Hasbro would fire them in a hot minute but you could hear it in their voices and how they represented the product. The mood was so melencoly compared to the mood of the Hisstank livestream. I smell something fishy between the Corp and the toy designers. I have the Batmobile, got mine on sale for $160 a few years ago. It's a loud beast and I still have yet to refill the fog. This Ghost Rider HasLab is a joke. The Hasbro Defenders will say "Let's see what tiers they offer" and even I'll admit, I'll hope for certain tiers because of price, but I know it won't happen. For me to think this is even close to paying this price it would have to include another Ghost Rider, like Danny Ketch, with his ride and that too should have LED FX. Even then, it's a stretch. I know that once they show Mephisto, the fan boys will justify it for that and that is just sad.

I recently backed the Roboskull Mk II from Skeletron (a vehicle I have a HUGE childhood love for). It's a toy with a pretty niche appeal, from a company that is miniscule compared to Hasbro, and it funded almost immediately. It cost me $282 WITH international shipping (I live in South Africa). It's a very large, complex vehicle and comes with a 4" pilot, seats for both 4" and 6" figures, blast effects, 3 mini skele drones, glow in the dark stickers, and a prisoner transport pod. That's less than the base price for the Haslab HISS (which I would have loved, but I already spent what I could afford on the Roboskull). No way is that car worth $350.
Why doesn’t Haslab do what some 1/6 scale places do. Break up you payments over a year. It’s gets funded and we all get a break on our wallets and credit cards? And then you don’t get it for a year??? I backed the Razor Crest but damn a year later and destroyed in the show?
These prices are pretty crazy, I will freely admit I backed the proton pack as it is by far the cheapest way to get a 1:1 scale replica pack, it's also 15 pounds lights and sounds, connects to the spengler wand and will be great for cosplay, but this thing for within $50 of the packs price? this is just silliness on Hasbro's part.

BTW I bought that 1:10 scale Batmobile but the non-motorized version and that ran me $70 on Amazon. That Haslab is a blatant rip off, I always tell collectors and fans, it's not a question of you being loyal to a brand, it's about the brand being loyal to you. But some folks love being a part of the fanboy cult and there's no turning back for them.

You know what’s crazy? A year after that batmobile came out they brought it to Costco and Best Buy for $150. Not on clearance but they actually lowered the price. Hasbro knows they got people willing to buy their stuff no matter what and it’s embarrassing

That doesn't mean what you think tho lol. If a product ends up lowering its price at retail, no matter where it was originally sold, it means it was having trouble selling at retail. The goal at retail is to sell out and not have to lower the original price. Companies may calculate losses, but this is not seen as good thing, business-wise. This has been common for big box items for a while now. The retail game & its criteria has changed. I know we want the problem to be primarily hasbro because they're the biggest toy company and they keep raising their prices (which admittedly sucks lol), but it's not just hasbro. Industries are reflective of their economy, not the other way around, as much as they'd even like to be.

the justice league RC in 2017 would’ve been $327 today due to inflation, but the RC batmobile from the recent movie is $100 which insane when you think about it, no excuse for the $350 price tag, end of the day hasbro is a company and they’re on that hustle, gotta just see through the bullshit

People need to stop fangasming and take Hasbro to task. They're the biggest toymaker going now and they have some of the most prominent IPs and licenses. People are way too soft on them, and Hasbro smells the blood in the water -- they keep offering less for more $$$.

I've been making a lot of dioramas (stone walls, trees Castle walls in like) and I was thinking how cool it would be to make a Gotham City and drive through it and get that footage . You could have different scenarios set up throughout the city , places getting robbed or fight scenes . It would take some time a dedication but man how cool would that be. Hope your well my dude

Other toy companies can sell several hundred dollar items at retail and still make a profit after the store takes their cut. But Hasbro's over here getting all of that $350.
That's not even taking into account the fact they get to put those presales into the bank and earn interest off it.

Since Haslab projects are limited run, they charge the relatively few customers a higher price. Again, taking advantage of FOMO.
If these products were produced in higher volumes and sold at retail then Hasbro could charge less per unit.

I totally agree with you 100%. I did get order the HISS tank. It kind of hurt because I also ordered the Blitzway Voltron at the same time. THAT was an expensive week right there. Yet I feel pretty good about the Voltron and dirty for the HISS tank.
Predicted this and saw it coming since the tease and HISS campaign. Can't believe they're locking highly desired characters behind a paywall. Such a middle finger to longtime collectors. Early Bird Funding Tier will become the norm now.
It's not a licensed Charger, it could've had LED lights that simulated movement in the wheels, like the Sonic statue, and a set of smoke and fire risers lifting the front end of the car off the ground simulating a burnout. It easily could've had sounds and might be slightly out of scale. I also don't understand why the render for GR has pins, but Robbie is pinless. Every "PREMIUM" figure offered through a HasLab should be pinless. If the pushback is loud enough they may change up or add an extra Tier, but we'll never know unless they admit to it.
I've been down with Legends since Spidey Classics. I've been scaling back what I'm buying and what I have due to Price Gouging, QC, Distribution, and Boot Licking Influencers/Fans. Down to under 100 Legends now, had damn near 500 or more a few years back. It hurts to see what they've turned the brand into. Started focusing the collection more towards retro items and its been highly enjoyable and a better value. Legends just feel toxic at the moment.

Bro.. I've been going through all the emotions with this Haslab. I've watched, liked, saved a couple of your 1:12 scale vehicles uploads (So that i can search and purchase. Thanks for the leg work). And with reading everyone's comments either positive or negative about it. I did my own searching and happened to look on bigbadtoystore site. And came upon a vehicle pre-order that got SO much shade from the collector community and didn't come with extra figures, LED lights and it's retail price is $499!!! It's the Super7 Thundertank!! L😆L and this thing Still hasn't been released hahaha!
This Haslab really showed where the current state of Marvel Legends collecting is at. This project is not worth the price for what little they could have done more to make it better (sound effects and more accessories for the figure) and the real icing on the cake is them exploiting FOMO with that normal Robbie “early bird special” just so they can get it backed in a week. Yet I’ve seen so many people who think we’re just complaining crybabies when we have genuine concerns for a line we care about that’s quickly going downhill and no sign of stoping. It’s pretty sad actually.

The 2022 Hotwheels R/C 1/10 scale The Batman Batmobile is the perfect comparison. It was only $109 when it came out earlier THIS year. Basicially the same vehicle with LED lights, rubber wheels, suspension, and motorized .... Make it make sense Haslab team!

What bothers me is that this might be the only way we get mephisto. Shouldn't be more then 200 tops. 350 is way to much. Considering the ghost rider figure is using shit articulation as well with the old waist cut and no butterfly joints or toe joints. Look at neca with the tmnt van that lights up and is modular is only 250 and it was made to order. And they gonna charge you shipping as well which is disgusting. It would come out to 380 for me. Plusses the Mattel bat mobile puts the Haslab to shame

Just to add to the comparisons, and this is something I said in a Instagram post as well. Ghost Rider vs Ghost Rider, Haslab vs Hot Toys. Up till not too long ago you could get the hot toys 1/6 scale movie Ghost Rider for $260-$270 retail and that includes his motorcycle. Even if the Haslab was at that price I would consider it too expensive, let alone almost $100 more.

I agree with you, I looked at it and did not see the same value as in the Sentinel and Galactus project. For the aforementioned figures you can factor in tooling, electronics, lights, the type and number of materials used in production, for me I saw the value there. This is just a car with led electronics and light piping, that's it! This is the direction Hasbro has chosen to go in (less for more) and if we keep supporting this, they'll just keep on doing it.

When Hasbro did the marvel legends Riders series, people would ask them about Robbie Reyes, but they would always act like they wanted to do it when the time is right. Now that the sentinel and the Hiss Tank sold, so guess the time is right. It is to overpriced, but at least the other tiers should be the cowboy ghost rider and 90's Danny Ketch ghost rider (which they never made).
P.S. Forget about that 250 batmobile. It cool and worth the price.
I will say when I first saw it. It looked amazing. I didn't look deep into it. Now that I'm seeing more about it. The price definitely does not reflect what they are offering. Also seeing that the fire wheels are not usable without the flame effect. This toy is DEFINITELY not worth the price tag period.

Totally agree mate. I was just about to make a video with my thoughts on all this and I will remember your advice on how to treat this. I dont want to cause trouble or waves but I am letdown alot by that price. I noticed the tone of that live stream and those guys were also letdown by the price. They couldnt say anything because Hasbro would fire them in a hot minute but you could hear it in their voices and how they represented the product. The mood was so melencoly compared to the mood of the Hisstank livestream. I smell something fishy between the Corp and the toy designers. I think Hasbro surprised them with that price right before the livestream started.

This Ghost Rider HasLab is a joke. The Hasbro Defenders will say "Let's see what tiers they offer" and even I'll admit, I'll hope for certain tiers because of price, but I know it won't happen.
For me to think this is even close to paying this price it would have to include another Ghost Rider, like Danny Ketch, with his ride and that too should have LED FX. Even then, it's a stretch.
I know that once they show Mephisto, the fan boys will justify it for that and that is just sad.

When watching the reveal, it was almost comical watching the faces of the Hasbro team trying to SELL this product with straight faces.
This hurts me. I really do love robbie. And the hellcharger looks amazing. But that cost man...really kills it for me. This could've have just be a box set for 150 easy. The haslab ghost rider feels like a $50-$100 playset from ten years ago.

I recently backed the Roboskull Mk II from Skeletron (a vehicle I have a HUGE childhood love for). It's a toy with a pretty niche appeal, from a company that is miniscule compared to Hasbro, and it funded almost immediately. It cost me $282 WITH international shipping (I live in South Africa). It's a very large, complex vehicle and comes with a 4" pilot, seats for both 4" and 6" figures, blast effects, 3 mini skele drones, glow in the dark stickers, and a prisoner transport pod. That's less than the base price for the Haslab HISS (which I would have loved, but I already spent what I could afford on the Roboskull). No way is that car worth $350.

These prices are pretty crazy, I will freely admit I backed the proton pack as it is by far the cheapest way to get a 1:1 scale replica pack, it's also 15 pounds lights and sounds, connects to the spengler wand and will be great for cosplay, but this thing for within $50 of the packs price? this is just silliness on Hasbro's part.

I was blinded by love for gr and how cool it looked and pre ordered. I thought about it hard and cancelled an hour or two later. Its super cool but definitely not worth that price and i dont want to encourage this no matter how cool a piece. Ill be happy with the retro card ghostrider
