I knew that the batmobile would be around that price the minute that I saw it. McFarlane isn't perfect by any means, but it never seems overpriced in terms of what they deliver for their price specially compared to other brands of similar price ranges. Honestly, I don't have that many problems with the price of many regular Hasbro releases although I do see why people complain, but Haslab releases have been absolutely ridiculous. They are overpriced by a really, really, really long shot.
I dunno. I feel like a lot of Hasbro stuff is really overpriced. I was super interested in the Marvel Legends _Knull and Venom 2 pack_ when I saw it in stores, until I looked at the price: $80 for two figures! How do they remotely justify that? McFarlane figures are almost half that price, the sculpts are usually better, and they reuse bodies far less.

Great video Articulated. Imagine being a nine-year-old again. Imagine being at Walmart. You see a Batmobile and a Hawkeye on a Sky Cycle in their boxes. They are both going for around the same amount of money. The Batmobile box can barely fit into a shopping cart, meanwhile the Hawkeye box can fit in one hand. Which one would you chose? Even a nine-year-old sees the value for the money.
My boy Bobby V better come correct when they announce the price on his 6 inch vehicle. The Todd Father put EVERYBODY on notice. We already know that Haslow scamming customers. Can't wait to get some vehicles for Valaverse at a decent price
the haslab EOV had everything against it - crowd funded with a very high unlock tiers, least popular version of an iconic character, too expensive, no nostalgia factor, ignored OG fans, not an RC. If they had made it a Pulse pre-order with at least a $100 - $150 price tag all those people who wanted it already have it and those people on the fence might have bought it also. Hasbro can release six inch vehicles without crowd funding - they did the Fortnite Motorboat. I actually have one and I am using it for Copperhead.
Eventhough i have been collecting for 16 year and yeah for a collector that is not so well off myself, your videos does help me determined if this toy companies charged fairly or not, so thank you.

McFarlane is a private company and doesn't have to answer to shareholders. Todd has always been a disrupter so its exciting to see him shake things up!
I have said it many time... if the Haslab was the car, Danny Ketch with his Motorcyle, and Carter Slade with his Horse... that would have sold. Hell, I would have backed one in a heartbeat.
Now that you mention it, that would have been an awesome idea for a Ghost Rider themed play set, and I would have backed it too since for a comic book GR fan it's worth the money.
You can buy the Batwing for $250 and the Batmobile for $60 and still pay $40 less. On top of that you can save 10% off at McFarlane which makes the price $279 for both. Save $71 and buy 3 McF figs with the money left over.
Even though I’m being funny, you can get the bat wing Batmobile and Batman for the same price HASLAB lol. Not to mention all three of those are highly recognizable figures.
Hasbro tried to give us some shit we dont want for 350 and Toddy Mac is out here giving us a grail item for only 60. I cant wait to see what 2023 has in store.
Hasbro being the third largest company by revenue one would think they would offer better prices to replace Mattel or Lego but no they continue to gouge customers for no reason.
Mcfarlane has been killing with the vehicles, it started with the cycles which I have several, I have a few Marvel legends 2 packs that had bikes but they had crazy prices but I bought them anyway. I've been after a Batmobile for a long time and to get a 89 MICHAEL FUCKING KETON Batmobile blows me away. When the Haslab $350 car failed due to price I got a damn Bratz movie car and It looks great, now on the Batwing I see Todd doing a re release at a lower price with a possible figure included just like he did with Metal verse Batmonstermobile. Ninja my comrade thanks for keeping it real man I've added u to my goto crew for killer info on all things figures
That Spinmasters flash movie remote control batmobile looks sweet too, it has a remote base that spins, light up headlights and smoke effects on the batmobile and comes with a 4" batman and his chair and computer for $200, it's pretty sweet
Haslab is gonna take it back to the 80’s……….promotions that is, like a toy store isle shopping spree of peg warmers. Can’t wait to see what they do next.
McFarlane Toys makes sometimes weird decisions, but the Figures and Vehicles are great and even if they feel sometimes a lil bit cheap they still look amazing and that the owner of the company is presenting new stuff shows that he really like what they are doing
You are right; but at this point it’s like explaining algebra to a cat. It won’t matter how many times you try to show them with reason, facts, or logic it comes down to my money my choice. Which it is but they’re trying to convince everyone else to buy it because it’s self serving to them to get it funded. P.S. You are correct about everything but one thing; the amount of plastic used to make Galactus is two to three times as much to make that Batwing. Vehicles tend to be made with diecut, and blow molds and take less plastic to make than figures. That’s why Safeway can get those cheep vehicles in the Easter baskets with cans and other toys for like $20.
The level of detail on the Ghostrider car, with the lights and such maybe, just maybe, have reached around $150 in value. At $150 it would have succeeded easily.
I was so set for my Dope game and I didnt get a single Dope. Mr Johnny Walker is upset on Saint Patricks Day no less. Great video once again. I almost pulled the trigger on a Batwing but then I had to pay the IRS so I'm going to have to wait on it. I did get a Batmobile.

A pic from your video has already made it to some of the Marvel legend pages, this was a comment from one. "Batwing is stupid Expensive for what it is. The fact people defending tod for the price is insane." You nailed the reactions at the end of the video. Lol
So to counter your point about the doors for the haslab, the batmobile has the equivalent of its door too. So the only extra thing is the trunk. Even more of a hasbro L
Retroblasting talked about this a year ago in his “Haslab Sentinel” video. At about the 11 min mark, he shows a Fortnite vehicle with opening doors that came with a 3.25” figure-all for $20. There’s no reason to overpay for vehicles. Mcfarlane has changed the game with this Batmobile.
Here’s the thing….I have to be selective on what I buy now. McFarlane drops a cloth caped Keaton Batman and a Batmobile combined cost 80 bucks and I didn’t even think. Ordered! All of that for 80 bucks? I can causally buy. I like Batman but I’m not a mega fan but for 80 bucks?!? Those two things will look good with my 1/4 scale Neca 89 Batman and 7 inch neca Nes Batman. Sold. McFarlane needs a lot improvement for his figs. Im not blind to that but the fact his stuff is few months at most on wait times, it’s relatively easy to get, and 80% of his figs don’t skyrocket in price on the secondary market after they are long out of print? Yes…yes…yes! His company is great for the part time toy collector. 7 inch scale doesn’t bother me either as my neca, Storm collectibles, and Mattel’s masterverse all are around the 7 inch scale. I don’t own a single Legends anymore. I sold all of mine. People really live or die by 6 inch which is fine, but there is actually a lot of 7 inch lines out there it’s just Hasbro has such a hold on that scale that a lot if people are just use to it. I do collect mezco and THAT line is frustrating to me scale wise because they are truly 6 inch scale. I can only really display mezco with only mezco. Anyway great video man. You are awesome Ninja!!!
I agree with every point you have made comparing the Engine of Greed to Todd’s Batmobile. I also agree with your thoughts on the price point of the Batplane being a bit high. However, I would add that I have ZERO problems with Todd hiking up the price on the Batplane a bit since that is intended for a smaller audience, if it helped him keep the price point at $60 for the Batmobile, which is obviously intended for the larger audience. The man has every right to make each wave he produces to be as profitable as possible. Given the fact that. I purchased the 12 piece bundle from his store for an additional discount I am very happy.
Makes sense when you know Hasbro is raising their profits by 50% to make their share holders happy and you're paying more for even less, that's blueprint 2.0. I have no respect for their greed and now I don't believe a word they say it's just lies and excuses. Hasbro, where fans come last. 🙄
You are spot on! However...What makes this so funny is after McFarlance does this with the Batmobile, we have the reverse situation with the Batwing. Todd's 36" Batwing is $249.99 - SpinMaster's 27" Batwing WITH a 12" figure is $39.99. I admit Todd's is bigger and has more/better detail so it should be more expensive, but feels the same situation - is it 210.99 more? Hard to believe. I get the MoQ thing since it's an exclusive to Todd's store, but still...210.99 more? Still smells funny. I'm with you though - 150 seems more reasonable.
I preordered both the Batmobile and Batwing. Is it a lot for the Batwing? Sure. But it looks absolutely beautiful, and it hits that nostalgia factor for me.
@@ArticulatedNinja Oh yeah. It should be like 125-150. But just the sheer size of it, plus the plaque makes it a great piece of wall art. I know people who spend 2x to 3x that amount on simplistic wall art. So to me, I’m cool with it.
@Fluffy Cajun I think the batwing was a test to see if people would pay 250 for it but the next time it'll be around 150 like how the monster truck was originally 80 but the second release was 60

Hey hey, there he is. Yes sir, absolutely been waiting for this video to drop. You broke it down into power-point simplicity that any fanboy Hadbro should understand. Paint your truth, brother 🥷🙏
I have never liked Todd’s DC Multiverse line. Most of the figures looked bad, and the character selection was awful. But I will admit that this one of the best things Todd has ever done with the line and it made Hasbro look incompetent and greedy.
I agree with you about Todd's DC figures. The proportions are off on those figures. Most have tiny pinhead's. I cannot complain about that Keaton Batmobile though. The thing looks great and the price is reasonable.
Agreed. I will be getting this batmobile because I liked his batmobeast. His figures are out of scale with what I like to collect. So I will try to get that masked and unmasked Keaton Batman fig too.
I have no dog in this fight other than my own pockets and what I like to collect. I collect a few different lines, including Marvel Legends since 2002, Mattel WWE, Mcfarlane ( a little), Mafex, Mezco, G.I. Joe Classified, SH Figuarts, Black Series (selling 90%), Valaverse, 3rd party, NECA, etc. It's evident Hasbro is price gouging now more than ever. Every since they tested the price increase from $20 to $22. Now at $25 to $30+ for standard figures and also $25 for figures that should be considered accessories. This is not a debate. Not saying don't but it of you want it but buy knowing you are a paying a huge premium on Hasbro especially their Marvel Legends. Mcfarlane is also paying a licensing fee so let's not waste time on bringing that into the equation. It's all about profit margins. Mcfarlane may not have great quality in some cases as Hasbro but does not over charge for what he produces and it appears he doesn't need as large of profit margin as Hasbro. Mcfarlanes Batmobile Batcycle and Batwing add up to $340 and if you apply the 10% discount code at checkout its $306. If you add a $20 Batman it's $326. The Batwing is almost 3 feet wide and over 2 feet long. LEDs is some of the cheapest things you can buy. Check Amazon or got to any electronics store. It's just a switch connected to wire to the LEDs so don't put to much value in that either. Yes Hasbro was exposed on the EOV and have a trend of drop a mixed bag of value, mediocre, and straight up rip offs. Whether it's a PS5 Spiderman for $30+ or $350 EOV. It is what it is. I still buy what I like but I won't lie to myself. So yes I purchase all 3 Mcfarlane vehicle offering and I have a Mezco 89 Batman ordered as well. I'm sure I received the vehicles first.
I was waiting for this and it was better than I expected. Great ep. I fell out at the commenting bit at the end. But you know you're about to get mentioned on a podcast now by seething haslab backers. lol
I would buy both that Batmobile AND the Batwing at the same time without thinking it twice; not only because I'm a big Batfan, but also due to the fact that you get a damn good quality productfor a very realistic price that makes it feel like it's worth every penny. Hasbro's startegy is plain greed; nothing more and nothing less, and people online making excuses for it have fallen too deep into the rabbit-hole of brand loyalty.
Pretty insane price difference, almost feel like Todd lowered it even more at the cost of profits just to stick it to Hasbro - this was rumored $80 wasn't it?
I think that I'm pleased that this price will also have an impact on the calculations Vala uses for the pricing on his vehicle. ...that *_should_* benefit the fans. Muaahhhaahaahhaaaa!!!
@@patientmental875 no I won’t buy it I collect transformers and sh figuarts DBZ so won’t fit my collection but damn it’s such an awesome piece either one. I can see that batwing hanging from the ceiling in my room man it would look amazing
If Mcfarlane drops a batmobile from The Batman at $60 +/-, or even the Tumbler Batmobile, they will sale like crazy. Easy customs and a versatile look. The Burton Batmobile is more specific as far as customs are concerned, but it's still an obvious buy.
Don't forget that McFarlane already put out a Gold Label edition Batman figure with electronics that they light up his chest symbol like a flashlight (yes its that bright and does project on to the wall) for only $10 more than the basic version of the original version ($20). That's $10 extra to fit in those electronic, battery compartment, hidden switch, and the light itself

@@gregory3499 wouldn’t be surprised if they do Giant Man and say “He comes with built in speakers to talk! Get him now for $300!”
@@graemevaughey7432 Don't get me wrong, they are definitely overpriced, although the difference is not as big where I'm from so I don't mind it as much specially because I only get the figures that I want the most since I'm not a completionist . However Haslab... Man, if it's surprising that people justify some regular releases then I have no idea what to say about those things. The Ghost Rider car was absolutely absurd.
The Venom/Knull pack was definitely expensive. Did you try amazon? I think that I saw it for about 60 dollars not so long ago if that helps.
@@graemevaughey7432 And Hasbro's greed gets even worse with their Transformers figures and the plastic quality that it's getting increasingly worse, more hollowness in the figures, smaller scale, less paint and cutting corners in the engineering.
All good and valid points made here from multiple perspectives
@@ArticulatedNinja Thanks for the great videos as always and taking the time to reply mate, I'm a big fan!
The fact is, its not that the engine of vengence needed to be haslab because it was 350 dollars, its that the extra lights and flames was an excuse to make it a 350 haslab
Mcfarlane vehicles have been pretty good. Will definitely be getting the batmobile, and $60 is well worth it 👍
Eventhough i have been collecting for 16 year and yeah for a collector that is not so well off myself, your videos does help me determined if this toy companies charged fairly or not, so thank you.
McFarlane doing deuces over Hasbro's grave was BASED! ROTFLMAO...TRUTHINESS!
Oh man, I had to…. RUSH…. Over here to check out the new Articulated Ninja video! 😂 🙌🏼
I know your gonna get at least two! 😀
@laserpants is the vehicle king 👑 🤣
@@ArticulatedNinja
You know it, and i just saw a video yesterday - Uncle Tim Rant's and Reviews - reporting that they are sold out everywhere except amazon.
I hope Todd someday makes a 6 inch scale Batmobile from The Batman 2021
Already happened with the Spinmaster batmobile for 12" figures, not a lot of work to make that happen
@@mr.dejongey5849 yup that too!! Totally forgot about that one 😳
Great video as always Ninja.. The Bratz Party Plane thing is hilarious. A lot of people got really hurt over the whole EOV failing and the Bratz car comparison. I mean we are close to a year already since the EOV was announced and it’s still getting brought up when other vehicles are announced. Thanks for keeping it real bro 🤙🏻
Bro Jackie Chan Adventures 🤣🤣
JAAAAKIEEEEE (hits Jackie with two fingers)
And One Moooore Thing 😂😂😂 that was a great show man
Yea it was 90s cartoons was the best for me
As Rick Flair says, "WOOOO!" Hasbro just got a huge flaming bag of dino shit dropped on their doorstep!
You can buy the Batwing for $250 and the Batmobile for $60 and still pay $40 less. On top of that you can save 10% off at McFarlane which makes the price $279 for both. Save $71 and buy 3 McF figs with the money left over.
Wasn't prepared for that Homelander opening, nearly choked on my drink. 😅😂
Would have been great if Todd brought up this engine of greed in a subtle way in his announcement
🤣 imagine
Even though I’m being funny, you can get the bat wing Batmobile and Batman for the same price HASLAB lol. Not to mention all three of those are highly recognizable figures.
I hope McFarlane make the animated Batwing sometime in the future or probably BvS Snyder Batfleck Batmobile.
McFarlane did a good job on the Batmobile based on what I can see and price. I’d rather have the Batman 2022 Batmobile. Hopefully it’s next
Bro your videos just get funnier and funnier. I am laughing so hard tears are running down my cheeks. Thank you.
this almost feel like todd did this intentionally to throw shade about the lights you can get a led lights and bread board for twenty bucks
True
Just bought Fortnite Royal's victory motorboat. Saved thirty dollars on eBay. Easily fits seven figures at 6 inch scale. Price is a steal.
That Spinmasters flash movie remote control batmobile looks sweet too, it has a remote base that spins, light up headlights and smoke effects on the batmobile and comes with a 4" batman and his chair and computer for $200, it's pretty sweet
I gotta check it out
@@ArticulatedNinja for sure man, it's nice, a little expensive but if I had the extra space and funds I'd for sure get it
Bro…love your videos and that homelander intro 😂 PERFECT!
Thanks 😅
The Todd father pretty much bent legends team over and went prison style on all of them with no lube and and a big…..smile.
Been waiting for you to drop this vid ninja 😂🤣😂🤣🤘🏻🇨🇦🤘🏻
A pic from your video has already made it to some of the Marvel legend pages, this was a comment from one. "Batwing is stupid Expensive for what it is. The fact people defending tod for the price is insane." You nailed the reactions at the end of the video. Lol
🤣 thanks for the heads up
So to counter your point about the doors for the haslab, the batmobile has the equivalent of its door too.
Damn, man. Your math is math.
That feels ya feeling? That's the spit hitting ya as Haslab get roasted. 🤣
I need this Batmobile for my Batman!
God bro! You had me goin from the intro!! 😂😂😂 bring that ass, a.k.a. TRUTH here boy!!
🤣
As I said I wish it was cheaper then 250 but regardless I agree it looks nice and is a nice center piece
@@ArticulatedNinja Oh yeah. It should be like 125-150. But just the sheer size of it, plus the plaque makes it a great piece of wall art. I know people who spend 2x to 3x that amount on simplistic wall art. So to me, I’m cool with it.
@Fluffy Cajun I think the batwing was a test to see if people would pay 250 for it but the next time it'll be around 150 like how the monster truck was originally 80 but the second release was 60
Nostalgia for a movie vehicle that isnt even out yet
@@patientmental875 Nostalgia for the ‘89 batman movie, where this Batwing is an evolution of. Since I cant get an original ‘89 Batwing in this scale, this one tickles enough of my fancies.
Oh my gods that Homelander intro 😂
The Engine of Greed advertised working wheels, did they work with the flame effects attached? Doubtful.
Meanwhile… “Keyboard warrior mode activated” bwahahaha priceless.
Fun video! Thanks
I have to say, Spinmaster’s Batwing is sort of impressive for $39. You have to customize the inside to make it sit a figure, but still pretty cool if you can’t afford the McFarlane Batwing.
Thanks again
Hey hey, there he is. Yes sir, absolutely been waiting for this video to drop. You broke it down into power-point simplicity that any fanboy Hadbro should understand. Paint your truth, brother 🥷🙏
I have never liked Todd’s DC Multiverse line. Most of the figures looked bad, and the character selection was awful. But I will admit that this one of the best things Todd has ever done with the line and it made Hasbro look incompetent and greedy.
I used to feel the same but the good ones are great, swamp thing and doctor fate are worth a try if you like dc
Got a whole wave of figures with a BAF, and a Batmobile for 180 bucks including shipping from the Mcfarlane site. You can’t argue with that.
I can literally make lights for all those Batman vehicles for around $20
True
You don’t have to paint it flat black. Just use plastic hobby clear top coat flat/matte spray cans and your are done
Had this batmobile been crowd funded, it would have reached a tier 4 goal in 30 minutes.
Very true,I wonder if that was the case; and yes it was rumored for $80
I can tell, you….REALLY, enjoyed making this video 😂
I think that I'm pleased that this price will also have an impact on the calculations Vala uses for the pricing on his vehicle.
...that *_should_* benefit the fans.
Muaahhhaahaahhaaaa!!!
True , vala always tries to benefit his customers tho but yes all this should benefit us for sure
I don’t even collect Batman but that car is fukn sick and is gonna be an beautiful center piece. And that batwing is sick AF.
Just buying to have it since everybody has it huh?
@@patientmental875 no I won’t buy it I collect transformers and sh figuarts DBZ so won’t fit my collection but damn it’s such an awesome piece either one. I can see that batwing hanging from the ceiling in my room man it would look amazing
If Mcfarlane drops a batmobile from The Batman at $60 +/-, or even the Tumbler Batmobile, they will sale like crazy. Easy customs and a versatile look. The Burton Batmobile is more specific as far as customs are concerned, but it's still an obvious buy.
Todd is for the people!
I got nothing to add here, because well Articulated Ninja pretty much nailed it on the head.
