OMG U DID IT! As a person with immigrant parents, I could relate to Ember so much, with the pleasing my parents and putting their needs first. The movie also used dialogue such as “GO BACK TO FIRELAND” as a way to be like “go back to where you came from” which was pretty cool. Also funfact, one of Wade’s family members are non binary.
My nonbinary niecephew thought it was funny the gender fluid actor and character was a water. Lol they appreciated the movie not missing the pun opportunity.
Also I agree with the immigration story. The reason it's been done before is because it's a common story amongst children of immigrants. And Disney and Pixar are trying to introduce more diverse stories. And with that they are obviously going to pull from their own stories as many of these were written and directed by children of immigrants.
Loved the reaction! Two things I loved when I watched this the first time, - The reason Ember cries at the family party isn't because she was so "moved" by Wade's words, but rather the realization at that point in time that they could never touch. Here was someone who made her feel seen and at that moment it wasn't possible. I mean really sad, but when you make that connection it's nice that its not just a normal his words were enchanting moment. - The moment they touch for the first, it seems like fun water smokey fireworks but I'm pretty sure its the eidenfrost effect. If you ever had dropped some droplets of water on a hot pan and the water dances instead of evaporating that's the eidenfrost effect. I thought this was cool because it really beautifully combined the art of Pixar, a wonderful story, and tried to make things work based on real science and not just "magic."
Sweet but sad little detail about the first vivisteria scene when Ember was a kid; when her dad is arguing with the employee we see other people joining in on yelling at him, but it turns to a dad and child, the dad is yelling immediately but the kid doesn’t know what’s happening so they look at their dad for guidance. They showed in just a split second that racism is taught
People who do not share the same feelings with ember wouldn't be able to tell she is in love with wade but as a person who has asian culture in his family and as a person who is not allowed to love who i really love, i can relate to her. This "elements" made me love the movie, because i can rly understand what ember is going through and what she really feels like.

@@SCR33NH3ADbut by far the colors they use for Spider-Verse is what make it so good and people think different colors/Hobie changing colors around his friends/Miles I think pink and yea but on to the topic I think the relationship was kinda forced especially how Wade literally walked in confessing his love and saying all this dumb stuff like I mean the movies alright but I feel like they could of done the relationship better
The reason they fit so perfect together is because they are opposites. He waters her down (calms her) and she toughens him up. They are exactly what each other needed. Love your vids :)
Context: For anyone who didn’t catch on to the deep meaning of the movie its about immigrants. Her parents come to “element city” aka “Ellis Island” , they speak “firish” aka “Irish” , and its imbedded in her that her families sacrificed everything for her to have a good life. The deep meaning is beautiful❤️ her father blessing her at the end tugged on my heart
@@RedRoseSeptember22 ummm ew why are you being rude? Some people legit don’t get it. Sorry you’re miserable and felt the need to roll your eyes over a nice comment.
I think reading the reviews first affects the way you think about the movie because most of the time when you see a popular opinion you tend to agree with it (even tho you had a different opinion before or haven't even watched the movie) so when you see the movie you go in with the mindset that the movie is bad like "Oh a lot of people think this, that must mean there right" "yeah they say this movie is not that good so it must be true" (mostly trying to fit in and have the same opinion) you go into the movie only looking at the bad parts or trying to look only at the bad side of it , like "they dont like it, then I don't like it that much either" as i said before trying to fit in.
For me, I don’t think this is true. I don’t let outside opinions sway my experiences with movies. There are many movies I've enjoyed watching that critics say are terrible.

I thought this movie was honestly quite cute! The fact that Wade is such a huge crybaby is actually kind of refreshing and adorable, in my probably very unpopular opinion. (I'm just sick of the "too manly to cry" trope, so the pendulum swing is nice.) I do think that the whole allegory of comparing elements to races had to be heavy handed in order for to make the suspension of disbelief actually work. Because Asians and Black people can hold hands without extinguishing or evaporating, because humans aren't elements. But I still like it! Pixar's first romcom!
I really love this movie it's so humble and yet intriguing I especially like when Cinema therapy breaks it down as to why she is what she is Wade is who he is. I don't care what anybody says I want a Wade lol
Completely agree at times that their romance can be very cheesy but it’s nice to see others opinions about ember and wades relationship. Personally, i quite enjoyed their love story because embers relationship with her father was lacking in communication (at least from my perspective) while wade was more outwardly spoken to her, telling her that she had a choice in running the shop or going out into the city, and giving her the advice she needs to hear. I liked seeing her heal her relationship with both the male figures in her life.
genuinely one of the best recent romcom animation ive watched in YEARS. Sure the writing is cheesy as hell and the public affection made me cringe a little LMAO but god is it stunning. Embers relationship with her father was the best in the movie imo
I quite like this movie. It's really stunningly animated, funny, the score is great, and look up how personal the film is to Peter Sohn, the director. This film is great, and I don't get the people that hate it.
25:02 When a drop of water falls on a hot plate, the steam created by the contact makes the drop kinda "float" on the plate That's what happens when they touch, a small portion of water on Wade's body evaporates, creating a thin layer of vapor that prevents them from coming into direct contact
Fun fact: Ember switching colours when she’s stepping on the minerals is an imitation of fire being mixed with other minerals in real life like if you put gold in fire the fire will turn yellow. 👍👍👍
16:15 Thats how firework get their colour!! Different metals or minerals, while burning, change the flames. Copper can be blue or purple, depending of which others components you mix them!! Borax to make them green, salt orange, water softener purple
OMG I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE DOING THIS ONE!!! (Also just to put this out there but for the pipes with dirt thing, if you follow the flow of water with Wade you'll notice that there wasn't any water in the pipes until Wade passed through them, which I interpreted to mean that the city did shut off water to firetown but the leak allowed water back into the pipes. I could be completely wrong tho) Also very tiny disagreement with the "recycled story" part - it does have similarities as you said but the cause for the similarities is different I think. Her reason for hiding what she wants to do and choosing (at first) to follow her father's wishes comes from a feeling very well known to children of immigrants (like myself) which she states very clearly in "the only way to repay a sacrifice that big is to sacrifice your life too". Other similar stories are mostly because the child doesn't want to do what their parents want them to do but the aspect of "paying back a sacrifice" is not there. I'm so sorry if I spoiled anyone, I just love this movie so much and I want to try and communicate my perspective, please don't be offended by anything I say >.
I would not say this is a bad movie. I don't think this movie deserved all the hate it got. I watched this twice. Even tho I got uncomfortable with their relationship cuz its fire and freaking water. But its a pretty good movie! Love you rukiya
Fire sits on water all the time. If a ship or boat explodes at sea the fire will not just be put out immediately. The fire will sit on the surface of the water still burning as long as it's exposed to air. In fact if you're under the water and there's fire up above you will get burned if you swim up into it. Ember touching Wade just makes him really warm and bubbly and creates steam between the two of them. Same thing you get from a tea kettle. It's really not that complicated or unrealistic.
Scientifically, Fire usually gives out enough heat to sustain a chain reaction (the additional element in the fire tetrahedron). But, there is no single temperature that is too cold for fire. So to answer your question, the Thermostat Operation can be any temperature they want, (Besides Really hot, because of wade.)
As a masc person with several cancer placements your hatred for Wade destroyed me lol. I enjoyed this movie a lot. It made me cry (go figure). I thought the immigration narrative was good. Their love story was good, I think I bought it because they were young and it was sweet. It's not my favorite Pixar movie but I think it's rewatchable.
I love Wade because he's supposed to represent healthy outlets of emotions compared to Ember. He also was the greatest support system she needed when it came to her needs and understanding her emotions.

I'm glad you decided to watch the movie, I've seen it twice now and it's a great movie, I love how it's reviews are very different, but the movie is beautiful, one of Pixars best.
The director based Wade and ember on him and his wife. Except he gave ember his background of coming from immigrants and the pressure to do what they want versus what you want. He pulled a lot from his own life according to interviews and press releases and tweets about this movie
RUKIYA!!I HAVE A THEORY!!:D so the reason why wade is crying a lot is bc he was told to Like imagine if he is not sensitive then when he evaporates he might not come back at the last scene and the whole plot might change That’s my theory:D
I haven’t watched this yet, but I can wait to see how positively dramatic this one will be 😂🎉❤ I recommend the Zorro movies, starring Antonio Banderas if you’re into comedy, romance and action!!
The word that Ember said ashbuk or i don't know how to spell it but that really inspired me because my life is so hard because my sister is always bossing me every single day
This movie is so cute , but it does have its flaws , and i like it because of that. Also wade didnt die because he just changed state of matter , he was still alive but went from liquid to gas
YESSSS THE QUEEN HAS UPLOADED!!!!!! I LITERALLY HAD TO WATCH IT ON AN AIRPLANE BECAUSE I WOULD ALWAYS FIND A DIFFERENT WAY TO WATCH IT THEN JUST BUYING THE MOVIE PERMANENTLY 😅
As an asian the movie hits hard Especially with ember's relationship with her parents Cuz i can half relate to that sht but seeing her struggle with paying back to them and just manipulating herself into thinking this is what she wants because this is what they want stuff and how it controls her mentality and emotions without knowing it Dang Also the marrying only same nation person It's a funny but annoying thing
Personally I liked the characters a lot, and I enjoyed the story as well, but some of the world-building feels, at least to me, like it wasn't very well thought out. In some scenes Wade's clothes stay solid when he liquefies, yet in other scenes they liquefy with the rest of him. The Air people are clouds, which I get (Because otherwise how are you going to physically represent air?), but clouds are also mostly made up of water... Fire people poof out of existence when they die, that makes sense, but how do Water people like Wade's dad die? Did he just evaporate on a hot day? It's definitely a solid movie if you're looking for a nice, simple Rom-Com with some good characters, but if you start looking past the first layers it does also feel like it was a bit rushed, like they had a good idea of a basis for a movie, but not everything's been fully fleshed out. I imagine the pandemic has a lot to do with that.
She watched elemental. My job is done. But. She hasn't watched the movie UP. Which i will request from now on because its another emotional roller-coaster :)
Girl, I was the same I didn’t want to watch elemental because everyone kept saying how bad it was and then one day I just got bored and I was like I may as well just watch it because I’ve watched everything else that I like and I ended up loving
Went i first watch elemental i was already in love with ember and Wade and i was scared when Wade and ember touch i thought wade was going to evaporate and i thought ember was going to extinguish
I just made a connection just now the fire covering up and making the sand to glass made me remember about the winter fairies from Tinker Bell Secret of the Wings, when the winter fairies used their frost to cover up the trees to try and save the summer side from freezing
The 1st time I watched this on cinemas, I lauged and Cryed all together, this is 1 of my fav movies, and I love how u can sense the chimestry between them, honestly, I love Rukyia and all her reactions are amazing....but I feel her reaction here, got kinda influenced in a small portion by the overreacted bad reviews this time...but hey, that's just my opinion....for me this movie is actually amazing!!!
15:10 Yep, that's how it happened with my ex. We met, texted, and a week later he asked me out to see a Dr. Strange movie. 😂 Part of me debated on watching Elemental because Wade reminded me of him both in looks and personality. I ended up watching the film though. Lovely and relatable story. Wade's sibilings and the dying comment reminded me of dying in Christ. 😊
Everyone I see react to this has the same and best reaction to Wade getting freaked out over the surge of water 🤣🤣 Tbh I just see it as the fact that even though he wont die (duh hes water) he'll still get pretty violently swept away given how that water was rushing

I have a lot of free time so I finished every Disney movie and every direct to video but when I was getting to Pixar I finished all but couldn’t get through lightyear or this so I didn’t finish. I almost did it was an ambitious goal throughout like 2 months. Maybe I should watch them.
I can't believe that this is your first time watching elemental. It's been out for a lot of time but it's totally okay if you haven't watched it yet. Did you know that a new inside out movie is going to be new emotions and Riley is turning 13. I think it comes out next year or next summer. I can't wait to watch It.❤❤

I just watched this a few days ago and personally I loved it. I loved the world building and all the little details, especially the scientific ones😅. I actually didn’t know it had bad reviews until I started watching reactions right after I finished it and I saw a bunch of comments under each reaction of how critics said it was bad. Honestly I try not to look at movie reviews at all( only a few times I have) because usually once something gets pointed out that isn’t considered “good” in the movie, I tend to really focus on it or if it’s multiple things and it ends up ruining my movie experience so I’m glad that I didn’t read any for this and that even though you did, you still watched it 🤗
Idk if I’ve ever been this early but love this movie also Ik this movie isn’t for everyone but I like it (loved the reaction ur reaction to Wade was funny)

The reviews didn't affect my opinions on the movie. At the end of the video, I said that the critics were being dramatic. Elemental was a good watch, but it's not something I'd rewatch.
"I made you a painting.. it's of a lonely man." *The painting being Wade* That's probably the only part I actually laughed at. but the movies good anyway

I'm glad you decided to watch the movie, I've seen it twice now and it's a great movie, I love how it's reviews are very different, but the movie is beautiful, one of Pixars best.
Girl stop it. This movie pales in comparison to most Pixar movies.
@@M_k-zi3tnFRR THOUGH
Omg girl I love your hair during the sponsor part of the video
The director based Wade and ember on him and his wife. Except he gave ember his background of coming from immigrants and the pressure to do what they want versus what you want. He pulled a lot from his own life according to interviews and press releases and tweets about this movie
RUKIYA!!I HAVE A THEORY!!:D
so the reason why wade is crying a lot is bc he was told to
Like imagine if he is not sensitive then when he evaporates he might not come back at the last scene and the whole plot might change
That’s my theory:D
I haven’t watched this yet, but I can wait to see how positively dramatic this one will be 😂🎉❤
I recommend the Zorro movies, starring Antonio Banderas if you’re into comedy, romance and action!!
Oh yes ;) love me some Antonio lol.
The word that Ember said ashbuk or i don't know how to spell it but that really inspired me because my life is so hard because my
sister is always bossing me every single day
This movie is so cute , but it does have its flaws , and i like it because of that. Also wade didnt die because he just changed state of matter , he was still alive but went from liquid to gas
31:40 is so funny , bernie’s like “🫣😬“
Lol 😂 he lowkey reminds of my dad in that moment
@@LolaGirl257🤣🤣🤣
YESSSS THE QUEEN HAS UPLOADED!!!!!! I LITERALLY HAD TO WATCH IT ON AN AIRPLANE BECAUSE I WOULD ALWAYS FIND A DIFFERENT WAY TO WATCH IT THEN JUST BUYING THE MOVIE PERMANENTLY 😅
I love this cheeky romance thingy going on in this movie, I love it so much ❤
As an asian the movie hits hard
Especially with ember's relationship with her parents
Cuz i can half relate to that sht but seeing her struggle with paying back to them and just manipulating herself into thinking this is what she wants because this is what they want stuff and how it controls her mentality and emotions without knowing it
Dang
Also the marrying only same nation person
It's a funny but annoying thing
I imagine the pandemic has a lot to do with that.
hey, you and a disney reaction can never go wrong, always happy to see an upload
Went i first watch elemental i was already in love with ember and Wade and i was scared when Wade and ember touch i thought wade was going to evaporate and i thought ember was going to extinguish
this movie was so cute. So glad you reacted to it!
POV Wade dies of being dramatic 😂. (14:33)
I remember I watching this movie in the movie theatres it’s truly an amazing and beautiful movie ❤
I just made a connection just now the fire covering up and making the sand to glass made me remember about the winter fairies from Tinker Bell Secret of the Wings, when the winter fairies used their frost to cover up the trees to try and save the summer side from freezing
This movie was so wholesome and cute! Not my go to movie but it is still fun
The way they survive together is simply the roof has holes So that he can take the cold air from above or something like that
The first time I watched this movie it made me cry, did it make anyone else cry? Near the end ;-;
Laughed*
@@luciaortiz3933 I agree! It's a very good movie in my opinion tho her reactions did make me laugh 🤣
Yup ..made cry
I guess the idea is he can control the density of his water, so he can make himself a magnifying glass, and using that trick to focus the light
I love that sound😂😂💀 0:19 0:20
I watched it in theater with my mom! She cried, but I didn't. I LOVED it! I'm so happy you watched it!
Everyone I see react to this has the same and best reaction to Wade getting freaked out over the surge of water 🤣🤣
Tbh I just see it as the fact that even though he wont die (duh hes water) he'll still get pretty violently swept away given how that water was rushing
Your reaction was so funny 😂 Especially when you talked Wade's displaying his affection
Your the best at editing like that 5:59 part😂😂😂
hi Rukiya! love the video so far, amazing editing and good animation done on the movie, props to you for reacting to it. 💛💛💛
Your hair looks so beautiful. The movie is very underrated
Rukiya be real sassy today and I am thriving while watching it 😂
3:02
Rukiya: Ok, we have fire people in the ocean. Y'know, nothing could go wrong at all with that.
I was doing a Pixar and Disney marathon and Disney direct to video marathon this past summer. I have a lot of free time so I finished every Disney movie and every direct to video but when I was getting to Pixar I finished all but couldn’t get through lightyear or this so I didn’t finish. I almost did it was an ambitious goal throughout like 2 months. Maybe I should watch them.
Not the "Right in front of my salad" sound HAHAHAHAHAHA that has me dying ☠️☠️☠️☠️
I can't believe that this is your first time watching elemental. It's been out for a lot of time but it's totally okay if you haven't watched it yet. Did you know that a new inside out movie is going to be new emotions and Riley is turning 13. I think it comes out next year or next summer. I can't wait to watch It.❤❤
This movie is so cute! I'm so glad you watched it!! ( btw You're really pretty Rukiya )❤❤
Thank you!!🥰💕
@@RukiyaReacts omg ofcc! You’re such a beauty! !
it made me really happy since u watched this movie because this was the last movie i ever watched with my cat before his passing. this movie is actually really good in my opinion and i loved it so much! your videos make me so happy and make me laugh 🫂💓
I thought this movie was very sweet and I cried lol XD it definitely doesn't deserve the hate it's getting.
I love your videos so much i laugh so hard i nerly peed
Rukiya that's literally what he just said run for your life which includes her and he's not going to be fine when too much water is gonna put him out of shape so a lot of water will be going into him so no he won't be exactly fine I mean he'll be fine but in the his shape is gonna be wrong😂😂😅😅
Girl, you look like an absolute goddess with that hair
This video came out at the perfect time not having the best week but watching your videos makes my day feel a little bit more better ❤❤
I'm sorry to hear that babe! I hope things are going better. Sending you lots of love 💕❤🫶✨
When ember said that about wade that she doesn’t love him the tempered glass was like wades broken heart
This movie isn't a disaster, but is like Inside Out and Soul.
P.S : Wade is the best character of movie.
You are ruthless! I'm tears over here and you're so chill about all the sweet moments lolol
I have a movie for you! It's called The Clique and it's basically like middle school mean girls. I really think you'd like this movie. And, keep slaying Rukiya! 💅
YOU HAVE A GREAT TASTE OF STUFF!!!🎉 I COULD NEVER SAY MINE BUT YOU SAID IT FOR ME SO THANKS AND CONTINUE MAKING THESE AWESOME VIDEOS🫶🤗
i loved this movie and they have such a sweet love story. I cried so hard at this movie.
Baby ember is so adorable 😍 💕 💖 💓 ❤️

My family a long time ago was like I think you should watch elemental and I was like hmm nah but than I finally watched it and it’s so amazing like I love it it’s great
i'll just take the free one , lol i need to try that, ya i have had my fair share of wild experiences in retail lol
23:38 I think they have those to the like tree element or a plant element Idk how those called
OMG GURL! You never fail to make me laugh with your videos! But girl let’s be straight up honest….if you haven’t seen the reviews would you like the movie either way or not lol?
The reviews didn't affect my opinions on the movie. At the end of the video, I said that the critics were being dramatic. Elemental was a good watch, but it's not something I'd rewatch.
rukiya is just too funny, love you girly! if you are offending anyone they need to shove that problem up they uhhhhhh-
finally you saw our comments
btw ty for adding me in the stunami of comments❤❤❤❤
29:44, Lol, what a meme.
"I made you a painting.. it's of a lonely man."
*The painting being Wade* That's probably the only part I actually laughed at. but the movies good anyway
That was hilarious 😂🤣
Ty for replying and liking my comment! :)
I wasn't actually expecting a reply or getting a like but not everyone expects one anyways! but ty! :)@@RukiyaReacts
