    Way back I fancied a high score 177 cal pistol, the advert said the most powerful in the world.
    It was rated 500 fps and the same action as the HW45. Got a HW45 averages 525 fps with Wasp pellets. I recommend the HW45 springier.

    Just bought a hw45 pistol secondhand off a m8 that didnt use it much.
    Its a .177, but waighs in a bit!
    Have to get used to it I spos.
    Got a HW90k rifle, and thats on the hefty side as well.
    Good review.
    You explain things well!

    It isn't about how many shots you can get out of a single load. It's about hitting what you want to hit, it's about sport.

    After many years ive never found an air pistol as well built as the HW45. The ergonomics are superb and the accuracy is great for a high powered recoiling pistol. Although expensive there actually a bargain in my book because they seem to last forever

  • @D5quared91

    Is the gun quieter on half power? Is it quiet enough for indoor shooting?

  • @RJM1011
    @RJM1011 13 лет назад +2

    @TheScouserkidda Yes it works real WELL I have used mine on rabbits and quite a few times on rats close up in barns.
    I carry my HW 80 rifle with scope and use the HW 45 for close back up.
    It also keeps the drit out of the HW 45 as the the way it is closed up when ready to shoot.
    Cheers have a good day and a better tomorrow.

  • @michaelnager6059
    @michaelnager6059 9 лет назад +3

    I have found the exact opposite. In half power the recoil sets in whilst the pellet is still in the barrel and I have to radically adjust the sights between half and full power.
    On full power the pellet clears the barrel before the recoil sets in.
    I have fired off well over 5,000 shots each in both the .22 and .177 versions I have.
    I will give you an example, if I have sighted in the pistol for just five yards at full power, if I then switch to half power using the same point of aim the pellet goes a good two and a half inches high.
    The only thing I can attribute this to is that the barrel reacts to the recoil whilst the pellet is still in the barrel.

      just got one today and agree in low power good few inches above target full power spot on so i guess its like you said , love the gun, it's full power all the way from now on lol

    Amongst the very many air guns I have had (rifles & pistols) this was one of two that I wish I never sold!
    The only problem I had was that the safety worked loose all the time!
    It needed a small jewelers screwdriver to tighten it but I know I should have used some "Loctite" on the thread!

    I’ve purchased a new hw45 in October 2012, and have to say I haven’t had a problem with it. Maybe you’ve encountered a dud or they’ve quietly changed the design following the problem you've mentioned.

    I own 20 air guns, often shoot a few hundred pellets in one session. Sure would not enjoy cranking this pistol so many times. Also, I would suggest inserting the pellet BEFORE cranking, as a safety precuation. Best wishes.

    @switchingtomac Hi mate, this gun is available in both .177 .22 and also .20, in north america it is marketed as the beeman p1 but its the same gun as the HW45. I have one of these and there awesome! I dunno how easy it would be to obtain the .177 one in Canada as they shoot over 500fps and with some pellets closer to 600fps.

      Nice! I was offered one by a friend ,for £250 but i refused his offer,And wouldn’t drop the price,And although I really wanted it ,As id owned two before this and had sold them on for some reason I don’t remember,But I stuck to my guns "Pun intended" but after about 3 months I asked him if he was still wanting to sell it? as i knew it was worth the money,But unfortunately he’d sold it so that was that,Until around almost 2 years since his initial offer when he called me and asked "Do you still want to buy my HW45? to which i said "didn’t you tell me that you had sold it for your original asking price ?" His reply was something like Oh that fell through! Interesting that it was almost 2 years ago! so obviously he was telling porky pies! so I asked him what he wanted for it? which was £150 but as he had lied about it i thought i"d try my luck and so i told him i was short of money but could perhaps manage to afford £100 and he excepted the offer, So i was happy as it’s one of the older Models and after a quick look online, I saw they were going for about £400/450 so it was worth the wait,Still you definitely got the better deal what with a case and two different barrels , Does that mean you have tree in total,As i know they did a 1.77/2.0 and a 2.2 which is what i have!

    Mała sugestia. W pierwszej kolejności ładujemy śrut następnie naciągamy naciąg, tak jest bezpieczniej. Druga sprawa, zaraz po wyjęciu z pudełka pistolet strasznie diesluje co skutkuje dużymi odskokami energii pomiędzy kolejnymi strzałami. W związku z tym wiatrówka należy rozebrać umyć oraz prawidłowo przesmarować jeżeli nie posiada się wiedzy oraz odpowiednich smarów warto zlecić smarowanie w serwisie. Dodatkowo warto przełożyć prowadnice sprężyny na drugą stronę. Po tych drobnych zabiegach wiatrówka nie przekracza odskoków energii 3 m/s co przy sprężynie daje bdb. wynik. Do celnego strzelania trzeba jednak wprawy przede wszystkim wyrobienie powtarzalnego uchwytu oraz pracy na spuście. Dla początkujących polecam młodszego brata - model HW40 PCP na sprężone powietrze. Mam oba modele oba są świetne niemniej jednak na początek przygody brał bym HW40. Jest tańszy w eksploatacji, cichszy, bez odrzutu, prosta konstrukcja.

    • @harune5826
      @harune5826 10 лет назад

      18 yaş altı satışı yasaktır üstünüzde yakalanırsanız sorun olur.Hw45 yay kurmalı geri tepmesi çoktur,hw75 pnomatik yani pistonla hava sıkıştırmalıdır,daha zayıftır ancak hw45 göre daha isabetlidir.sebebi hw45 de geri tepmeden dolayı sapma olmasıdır..
