In my career in PC building I have never worn anti static gloves and straps and have never come across a peripheral failure situation because of that, so stop being paranoid. Go watch the episode from ElectroBoom with linus of static discharge.
Personally, I think talking about the parts then a timelapse with a good B roll shot could have made for a great video. Still, make sure you take time in your editing and don't just throw some shots and music together. Plus where are the benchmarks?
