Hey, great video! I think the reason you couldn't mine the palm wood was because you needed a better axe, because you did find tools made of that wood. If it works like that for ore, I'm surprised more mods don't treat wood like that.

P.S. using the torch trick for removing the sand while draining water could have saved a lot of headache lol

I've always wanted to make a minecraft server that was centered around the ocean, like a Waterworld situation. No land, the only way to get specific resources is to do quests for the deep sea hub...or something like that. There would be derelict submarines everywhere that players could do anything with but they'd have a lot of enemies inside. I had more ideas about it, I just can't think of them XD
Maybe a texture pack for armor that looks like a vintage diver suit? Or a shark-tooth axe. :]

I love the concept of the ocean only 100 days, but I've noticed nobody who's done it has ever had a mod that allows you to build your own ships that actually move.. just feels like such a missed opportunity

Try one of the recent raft minecraft vids from unsorted guy. He uses a valkyrie ships or eureka ships mod and i went and downloaded it asap as it makes your ships moveable. 😂
I stole one of the big enemy ships after making it driveable. LOL

I feel like just putting a torch down to break the sand would have saved time, same with going into the neather to gather a mountain of gravel so you can combine with dirt to convert the gravel into dirt (till the dirt block and it'll turn into a regular dirt block) Lotta little tiny time saves!

Those mer-folk can trade you a infinity sponge that would greatly help you in your next drain operation. You get different trade from the different types of mer-folk. Plus the aquamarine armor you can get from them is op underwater.

I used one of those pirate spawners to make a pretty decent mob grinder. It has to be open from because I wasn't sure how to get the Vindicators to move in a given direction, but I got a decent chunk of emeralds and xp.
Edit: Posted this before realizing that it was a modded mob, but the second ship is the actual one I used. Still, they're not bad. Better spawers setups definitely exist and trading is a better aource of emeralds, but if this is what you jave it can work.
