Been watching your videos since i was a young lad around mid 2010s and i'm turning 20 on new years eve. Went to drayton manor 5 days ago with my family and i finally went on gold rush, a great family coaster. Your channel is one of the best theme park channels worldwide.
Hi Shawn and Charlotte l argee Pirate Adventure is the only ride left in the whole park to be sorted out 😊 and fix it up inside then open it up and then drayton manor will be finished every single ride open😊 ❤
I'm just loving all the recent investments that the Looping Group gave to Drayton Manor Resort over the past few years (i.e. Adventure Cove, Vikings, The Wave, etc.) Now, if I was to guess what would the company want to invest in the park next, I'd go for the following: - Like you said, the addition of a second train on The Wave would really benefit the coaster - There’s rumors going around that Pirate Adventure could be reopening soon. If that happens, maybe Simworx could give the ride a Super Flume tech retrofit, as well as updating some of the animatronics. - Excalibur, the park’s former tow boat ride, would be restore and now be themed around a lake and sea monsters or prehistoric creatures. - The Haunting would be improved and re-themed to fit within the Frontier Falls area. - Add a new Rocking Tug attraction (similar to Timber Tug Boat at Thorpe Park) in Adventure Cove. - Invest in two new hotels for the resort. One themed around Thomas and Friends as well as a sea-side hotel. - Also, it would be cool if the park had some western cabins (similar to Energylandia). It'll include a lake, a train around it, an outdoor cinema and an outdoor splash area. - As for their next coaster, I'd like to see Gravity Group Family Coaster or Vekoma Suspended Thrill Coaster (STC). - Remove the zoo and replace it with new area that includes a few flat rides and even a small children's petting farm for families. - I think that the park will invest some new entertainment (i.e. a street/stunt show in Frontier Falls, a dancing fountain show in the lake, etc.) - Give Sheriff's Showdown some much-needed improvements to the dark ride. BTW, happy National Roller Coaster Day! 🥳🎢

I wonder if the swans, and other animals at other parks, fall in love with watching the rides and coasters going round each day? And, at about 32:00, reminded me of Crazy Bulls ride... gidyee up gidyee up, ride the bull!
They have been over estimating the queue times by quite a lot though! I went a couple weeks ago for my first ever visit and it said the wave was 90 minutes and I didn’t think it would be so entered the queue at 12:27 and I was right! We were off it by 1pm!
Kudos to the Looping group for having the right vision and investment to bring Drayton back on the right track. Goldrush looks a brilliant family coaster and I will certainly be paying a visit soon. With Alton Towers in close proximity and with there own investment, Drayton was never going to compete in the thrill market, so to go further down the family route made sense, probably took some inspiration from paultons and realised they could be the family destination for the midlands. The investments in UK parks this year and going forwards are I think showing the Universal GB effect already, if it gets the final go ahead (which I think we are all expecting) then I think UK parks will continue to evolve, they have to!
Weird question: do you have any idea what the plant covering the old pirate dark ride is? I’ve never seen a climbing vine quite that bushy. I honestly love how it looks. I seriously doubt it could grow where I live, but I’d love to find out just in case

Hi there guys. Remember the last time I did Stormfoce 10, got put on 2nd row so not too bad I thought. Got bloody soaked and it wasn't the best day weather wise in September. Had the wettest t-shirt in the park all day.
Great vlog brings back childhood memories from when i lived in stafford in my dads RAF days, visited here quite a lot snd have loved seeing the vlog today 😊
We went a few weeks back and so many rides were closed all day including, the wave. Gold rush & the rapids both broke down as we got to the front, we did finally get on gold rush which was a good family coaster, think we just had an unlucky day. Guest services did provide us with return tickets for either this season or next which was good of them.
We went to Drayton manor a few weeks ago with our 5 year old and had a blast! The only frustrating thing I found was every ride (even the smaller kids rides) had a big turnover time for getting people off and on the rides. They could definitely improve the efficiency of this by looking at other parks. Your suggestion for another train on the wave coaster is a great example.
A lot of people have been complaining now that we are not seeing major coasters as much and that it's only family coasters, however I think we have witnessed the start of a short (ish) burst of new well themed rides. However, as we have seen in a few places, a lot of these rides have been rated highly by most enthusiasts as being generally good coasters. However, another interesting part is that family thrill coasters have been becoming more thrilling, with starter inversion coasters popping up all around the countries, seeing 5 year old be flipped upside down earlier than they would have been not too long ago.

I would love to see Excalibur replaced or remade as well, such a large plot unused. Loved this and Pirate adventure as a kid. Also, love the bounty, best pirate ship in the country 👌☠️⚓️
As you say, Drayton Manor Park has changed, but 60 years ago, it was really different from today , which used to be our day trip from Nottingham ,though I'm getting on now ,still enjoy watching your videos keeps me young 😊
I miss the stand up version of the wave as it stood out (no pun intended) as being the only stand up coaster with a 0g roll and it was the best inversion but I need to go back to Drayton manor and try out the new version

I've just been watching four or five of your videos. I am from America and I'm guessing most of your videos are from the UK. I wish you would say where the park is that you're at in the UK. I didn't hear you mention it in any of the videos I've watched so far. You have so many and I can tell you to like the roller coasters which I do not so haha so I won't be watching a lot of those. Put it on you for your good filming and sharing your adventures with us.
We went yesterday to Drayton Manor. My daughter is a big fan of Shawn and Charlotte and it made her day to get a photo with them taken with her Instax camera. The day was good but the changeovers on rides take a long time, they are really slow compared to other themeparks. I'm curious as to why some staff where uniforms but alot don't making it difficult to see who is running the ride. Thanks from my daughter Bella to Shawn and Charlotte.
On National Rollercoaster Day on Friday afternoon I went out to my local Theme Park Called Adventure Island 🏝️ to ride on all of the five rollercoasters 🎢 yesterday. And I’m that you and I would understand that Adventure Island should say good bye to the Mighty Mini Mega. And then they should buy a brand new Mack rides spinning roller coaster 🎢 and make it go all around vertigo and the Crocked House 🏠 with a big helix 🧬.😊😊😊🎢🎢🎢🧬🧬🧬👍👍👍
OMG - My son said he saw you at Drayton Manor on Friday (16.08.24), I just asked where he saw you and to point you guys out if he saw you again, he said on the tour train. So I just checked we are at the very front of the train 16:49-> 16:56 (my lad had a yellow jumper on, dont ask, I asked if he wasnt hot in it several times) lol He told me whilst walking around the park but I thought what are the chances you both would be there on the same day lol
Also, I discovered how wet Stormforce is a few years ago, I first went on it about 10 years ago, was on the 2nd row so didn't get that wet. Went on it again, back row and I was drenched😂😂😂
I always look forward to your vlogs and appreciate your honesty if operations are bad etc you'll always say. I recently watched a couple of other vloggers and they were saying that the theming for frontier falls and Vikings is just ok nothing special and done on the cheap and was compering it to wild west theming in american parks and how much better it is there more realistic and less cartoon like as was said about Drayton i would love to hear your opinion on that as I know you think Drayton is improving and with your experience and knowledge on theme parks across the world I'm always interested with what you have to say. Im going there today For my Birthday Its next Saturday I cant wait for today and next week I want to try and get on upside down Rides Im nearly 23 Ive never been on an upside down ride 😂😂😂😂
